They created the most beautiful ADU, and now we all have the perfect place to crash when visiting. What impressed us most was how smooth the process was -- my parents didn't have to worry about a single thing. On top of that, their pricing was very competitive. Be very careful if contracting with this company. I hired them for a residential siding repair to…read morereplace some water damage near a chimney. They were given access to the property to inspect the damage and write an estimate. The estimate was reasonable and they were able to start right away. So far, so good. They spent one day setting up scaffolding, installing port-a-potty, etc..and opening up some of the siding. They then submitted a change order that increased the total cost of the job almost 4x higher! My homeowners insurance denied the claim and I asked them to hold off while I collected some competing bids. They then informed me they were going to remove the scaffolding right away and the price may be higher if I continue work with them. The competing bids ranged from 1/3 to 1/2 what Andalusian was trying to charge. They then invoiced me a very high rate for the scaffolding setup and removal and small amount of work they had completed. I would suggest anyone planning to work with these guys be very sure of what your final billing will look like before you sign on.

I can't say enough good things about Mauricio Bautista, and his team of roofers, which actually…read moreconsisted of some three guys. That said, Mauricio, and his team functioned like the all stars of roofing. They were, in my estimation, masters of their craft. They arrived promptly on time every morning they were on the job. As the conversion from my old weather beaten wood shake roof of some thirty five years began to take shape with the very sharp in appearance simulated wood shake but in reality steel roof, I marveled at how realistic it really did look. It took a lot of reassurance from Mauricio to convince me to not go with replacing the old roof with the now much lesser quality wood shake available on the market. It would have been considerably more expensive, not nearly as long lasting, and the quality severely marginalized by all of the manufacturing restrictions placed on the product itself. Given fire hazard issues and the need to comply with all kinds of state and local laws the wood shake available essentially would have borne no comparison to the look Bautista Builders created with their unique professional and skilled workmanship. In researching reroofing my home with a steel roof, and in doing my due dilligence before settling on a contractor of choice. I looked at and compared the different products available, listened to the different pitches made by potential contractors, checked out jobs they had completed in the area and spoke with homeowners where available. My time horizon on this planet is in the final twenty five percent, and I wanted to make sure I would never have to do this again. I settled on Mauricio, because, most importantly, after talking with him at length I felt confident he could be trusted to follow through on what he said he would deliver. This was confirmed for me in speaking also with some of his prior satisfied customers and seeing the work he did for them. it didn't hurt that his bid was very competitive. I am so pleased with the job he did, and true to his word, it does indeed look like I have a brand new jumbo wood shake roof up there. Those December storms that wreaked havoc in some locations were a walk in the park for my new roof. I know because I was up in my attic checking things out and making sure it it held up as promised. It did with flying colors. Mauricio Bautista, is by far my roofer of choice. Knowing what I do now, and seeing the finished product in place, I would hire Bautista Builders back in a heartbeat. It was a complete teardown from the walls to the sub flooring. I am extremely pleased with the remodel. Mauricio craftsmanship is impeccable, and he did not leave out any of the small details. He used high-quality materials and provided durable solutions. I was not comfortable with the first plumber that came out to look at the scope of repairs needed. Mauricio took the time to help me find the right plumber for this job. Due to the plumbing, there was a small delay with him being able to complete his work. He was very understanding, always on time, and very responsive to any questions or concerns. He went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. He was also very patient with my numerous questions, and he took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly. I appreciated Mauricio's timely updates and communication. I have had some unpleasant experiences with other contractors in the past, and he helped put my mind at ease. My bathroom is beautiful and functional. I would highly recommend Bautista builders and I definitely plan on using them for future projects.

They did an astounding job making this space look so much better. Cody came and gave a quote and then started on day that worked best for me. Additionally, they went the extra mile and used Schluter Ditra underlayment at my request. If you haven't used this method of tile installation, I highly recommend it. It's an orange-colored membrane that makes sure no cracks from subfloor movements will occur in your tile work. Cody and his guys took less than three days to install everything including a layer of plywood. The outcome was gorgeous. They even managed to match the height of the tile to the existing wood floor I have in my main room. Cody's crew also did a good job of cleanup work. I would definitely work with them again for my upcoming bathroom project.

He and his team not only did a fantastic job making the floors look fantastic, but were great about working within our timeline so that we could complete the rest of our home remodel, and that too within our budget. We had such a great experience that we asked him to come back to put up our brick style backsplash in the kitchen. What I really appreciate is that Cody will give us an honest opinion on whether something we want will work. We brought a specific piece of trim that the tile store told us would be the right size for our kitchen, but Cody was firm that it would be too thick and that it wouldn't look good at all. We switched out the trim as Cody asked, and he was right - the smaller trim looked amazing with the kitchen tile! It's been an absolute pleasure working with Cody and I plan to call him back when it's time to do the next phase of remodeling in our house.

When quoting they weren't the highest nor lowest bid, but they were by far the only partner that invested the time to truly understand our needs and developed a detail project plan. Tapia's attention to detail has been incredible. From proactively and aggressively managing slight imperfections in everything from cabinetry to flooring, they've ensuring a perfect project. The team is incredibly professional, at our home every day by 8AM and even sweeps up after themselves at the end of each shift. While living through a renovation while working from home during a pandemic sounds like a nightmare, the team has proven incredibly professional. We thought we had a plan that would work, but 3 contractors in a row gave us bids that killed the project. Dave was last on this list, and when I told him we could not move forward, he suggested an alternate plan at a cost that would work. He was the only one to try and think outside of the box. This did require an architectural overhaul of our plans and we asked our current architect to help. After a couple rounds of new plans where the cost was still too high, Dave suggested we talk to 2M Architecture. Well 2M made all the difference and came up with an amazing plan that solved the one major challenge of our project. At this point the costs lined up and the project was ready to go. I can't say enough good things about Dave and everyone at Tapia Construction. If it were not for Dave and crew, we would still be a family of four living in a tiny 1 bath bungalow. We recently completed a major renovation involving structural changes--removing three walls, raising ceilings, and reconfiguring doors and windows. The result is an amazing great room that is open, light, and beautiful. Even in areas like the laundry and powder bath where the footprint stayed the same, the design makes them feel significantly larger. One of the most impressive aspects was their guaranteed completion date. They hit the mark perfectly; had they gone over, they would have actually credited us money back. From the design phase to the final finishes, the team was professional and communicative. As someone who is on construction sites often for my own work, I've seen the havoc 'low bid' contractors can cause. Any perceived savings are usually lost to time overages or poor quality. D.R. Domenichini is the opposite. Even our neighbors commented on the consistent progress, noting that work continued every week, even through the holidays. We've been back in our home for a few months now, and I still reflect daily on how happy I am with the quality and layout. We highly recommend them!
