My request was a bit more extensive as I was asking that they actually bake a fresh pink or blue cake rather than fill the cake with pink or blue icing. We'd be dropping off the "Top Secret" envelope to them Wednesday afternoon and they'd have it ready for us by 4pm the following day. Then on to the exciting part. Nicole and I started discussing how to decorate the cake via telephone. She was literally reading my mind! A few minutes later we wrapped up and I planned to drop off the envelope Wednesday afternoon. Fast forward. We popped in Wednesday afternoon with our envelope and Dan greeted me with a cupcake to sample. Delicious!! He was just as pleasant as Nicole and so genuinely excited to be part of our special day. Then we did a draft drawing of what we wanted and Richard took that and did his version of the drawing since he better understood the material he would be working with. We ended up with a perfect four level wedding cake, with 12, 10, 8, and 6 inch round sections each six inches tall. I can't compliment them enough. And as a nice bonus, they offer a top section of your cake for the one year anniversary. No need to freeze yourself a piece to celebrate the first successful year.
