Awesome service- efficient, professional, and honest! Krys helped me out with my Triumph on a handle bar swap which ended up requiring a bunch of finagling with the electrical and ABS and I'm glad I left my bike with a pro! I also got a new tire and brake pads all done same day. Much better service than the dealership, family owned and they care. read more

I returned to Valdi's for the 42k service on my 2013 GSA 1200. As usual he did an outstanding job in a short amount of time. I had a new set of tires I intended to put on the bike after I returned from an upcoming trip but after talking with Valdi about the condition of my front tire, I had him install and balance the new set of tires. Now I can take the trip knowing that I'll be riding on safe tires with a fully serviced bike. Valdi's service is A+! read more

The reviews are spot on. Valid is a class act. I brought him my 3 year old but only ridden 1800 miles r1250r for service. He is a lot closer then the dealer and a bit more reasonable for rates. He takes a lot of care and pride in what he does and only uses factory parts. He also spent a good amount of time explaining everything to me and gave me tips on stuff I can do myself. read more

He's simply THE guy to go to for BMW motorcycles when the dealer can't help you out. I brought my 2007 BMW f800st there when it wouldn't start. I thought it was the key ring sensor failing but let me borrow another key ring to plug into my bike to troubleshoot. When that didn't solve it, he traced all the wires in the harness to check for a short or break. And then finally, he plugged in another ecu computer from another f800 and it fired up. Other shops recommended that I swap out the whole system ignition system which would've almost cost what the bike is worth but he really worked to help me localize the problem and find a much more reasonably costing solution. read more

so glad I finally found a shop that not only is willing to work on my 90's BMW GS but is an absolute expert willing to share his knowledge and suggest the right way to get things done. so happy with this shop, I will be coming back here for all my services and any other bikes I have in the future. its worth the almost 2 hour drive for me to bring it here. I suggest you do the same! read more

Valdi went above and beyond, which seems like the norm based on previous reviews. He gave prompt, clear details as to the expected time line, cost and delivered on his promise! There were a few items while he had the faring off he recommend which made sense to fix. A+ Service! read more

First off, I don't like taking my bikes to any shops and would prefer to do the work myself, but whenever I have a problem I can't solve I take it here. This is an amazing shop! Chris is an honest and hardworking guy. He gave me updates the whole time he had my bike and was very honest and thorough. I would rate this place higher than a 5 out of 5 if I could. read more

Valdi runs an honest and reliable shop. Although he only works on BMW's, he allowed me to bring my Yamaha Road Star wheels and my own tires for mounting and balancing. Forget the dealer, or anyone else who claims to be an independent BMW motorcycle specialist. Valdi's is the only game in town in all of Southern California. I brought in my 98 R1100GS/78K, for a quick tire and foot-peg replacement. For a busy motorcycle repair shop, they keep it meticulously clean. More so than the BMW dealership in my area. I also noticed some other works in progress that varied in age, from the old airheads to the newest police bikes- a good indicator of the depth of their experience and knowledge. Valdi and Chris both welcomed me with a friendly smile and a firm handshake, something that is also uncommon. They got to work on my machine immediately, and right away I could tell that these guys are masters of their craft. They work with speed, efficiency, confidence, and a collaborative shorthand that reminded me of F1 pit crews- they are really that good. While prudence usually demands that you watch closely, any new mechanic when meeting for the first time, their work ethic and engineer-like focus made me so comfortable, I was able to relax and tend to other business. They were also quick to point out some of the mechanicals that had suffered some neglect, including a brake light issue that I did not know I had. Despite the fact that I only booked the shop for an hour, they repaired everything, and focused on getting my machine mechanically sound and safe. And even with all that, the most incredible part of my experience happened when I hopped on and rode off- because she felt like a new machine. The acceleration, handling characteristics and clutch operation had improved so much, It took me a few minutes to get used to the new performance envelope. And now I'm acting like that guy who just got a new bike- looking for any excuse to ride. Valdi's Motozone could easily inspire customer loyalty just on their superior workmanship, but they treated me like an old customer, took me out of mechanical danger, and even gave me a break on my final invoice. I've never felt more confident or positive about any other shop, dealers included, and there's no way I'm taking my machine anyplace else. read more

I wanted to get my 1150 RT wrenched on for a 36k but wanted to avoid the stealership. Valdi was very patient with me and finished the work earlier than I expected. He even let me take it out for a spin to check out how nicely the idle was adjusted. Despite being out of my way from Buena Park, it was worth it! read more

It's about time I write a review after spending many thousands of dollars with these guys and getting nothing but excellent service and results on the half dozen different R oil head bikes I've put through their capable hands in the last 18 months or so! While Torrance is not the most convenient location for many of us (but then what is in socal?), they seem to attract clients from north and south. No more dealers for me. Keep up the good work and fair prices Valdi and Dave! read more

Valdi's Motozone - Pick of 04 rt i got from Bakersfield CA bought it Aug 2017. Bike was the best deal I've ever gotton. Just over 2K. - Motorcycle Repair Near Me - Torrance, California

Recommended to Valdi's Motozone, and echo the 5 star service experience. 2006 R1200RT, 4 yo gas glazed on the plugs and carbon paths caused the bike to hesitate at 4000 RPM. Not sure if it was fuel or electrical. Troubleshot to bad original Bosch plugs. Got brake fluid changed, new metal FI connectors, synched throttle bodies, now it runs perfectly!! Highly recommend Valdi and David for any BMW service!! They can help you with recommended preventative measures to give you greater peace of mind, very honest and helpful!! read more

Southern California's #1 independent spot for BMW motorcycle repair and service. Very honest, trustworthy, reliable, and fast!

Valdi and his son offer incredible service. When was the last time you rode up to a shop and had capable mechanics assess any problem you had on-the-spot? They are always willing to take a look at my R1200GS, answer questions and give recommendations: they are genuinely interested in your bike working perfectly. Additionally, they also give sage advice as to whether replacement parts should be OEM, aftermarket, or used... and they're also willing to help sourcing used parts. Spend a few minutes at the shop and you'll likely meet other loyal customers, not only there to order parts or have work performed, but also to say hi. I trust Valdi's with my BMW 100%. read more

I am new to the area and today stopped by to get some help with my 19 year old R1100RS. Both Valdi and his son David were absolutely everything that you could ask for out of service technicians. They stopped what they were doing and in about an hour had me out the door and well on my way!!! Don't hesitate for one minute and make sure to utilize these gentlemen's expertise.... You won't be disappointed. When I move away from the LA area I can only hope to find a shop half as good as Valdi's Motozone. Thank you Valdi and David!!! read more

Valdi's is the best BMW shop in the South Bay and possibly SoCal for any generation of bike. I take my r1200r and my /6 there with equal confidence they'll come back healthy and at a reasonable rate. I first went in to Valdi's about 2 weeks ago. My bike had started making a slight clicking noise most noticeable when coming to a stop. Valdi stayed open 5 minutes after his closing time so I could drop it off after work. He took one look at the issue and offered to fix it right then. He determined that my chain was too tight and slackened it up slightly. I tested it out in the parking lot and sure enough that fixed the problem. Valdi is very helpful, honest, and knowledgeable. I will be taking my bike back here for all of my future service needs. read more

Valdi and David are great - knowledgeable, honest, helpful, considerate of your time. I have a bit of a motorcycle fetish and love to learn more about how my bikes work whenever possible. Valdi and David are always willing to answer all my questions and on a couple occassions have allowed me to watch them when they work on my 2008 K1200GT. Best BMW motorcycle shop. This guy is straightforward and honest mechanic. He doesnt need a fancy showroom to impress you in his shop. Good mechanics are far and few between. This is especially true with motorcycle mechanics. You're either taking your chances with some glorified back yard mechanic, or you're getting completely ripped off at a dealer. Valdi's Motozone is an exception to that. Valdi and his son Dave are by far the most skilled BMW mechanics I've met, not to mention they are true enthusiasts that love what they do. I've referred friends in the office because I work up the street, they have went on to refer their friends. Just recently I met another BMW rider at my company and went to tell him about Valdi's, he said "oh yeah, that's the place everyone is talking about isn't it?" That's how good they are. Their reputation is well deserved because they give the best service and the best advice with pride and integrity. I have my Honda auto mechanic, and I have my BMW motorcycle mechanic. I'm a brand loyalist ONLY because I've found these guys. read more

Went there on my brother's recommendation. I took my brand new 2014 BMW R nine T for its first 600 mile service. Most people will take the bike to the dealer for its very first service, but I trusted Valdi's experience and dedication to BMW, and I live close by, so I went there without hesitance. Work was done in very satisfactory manner, for less than what the dealer would charge, and I'm happy. I will definitely keep coming back to this place for my future service. read more

I have had bikes for 30 years, and owned my current 04 R1150R for 4+ years. I found Valdi and his son after a local shop overcharged and underperformed. Since then I have had all the regular and scheduled work done at Valdi's and he has always been fair, prompt and professional. A couple of month's ago I got a flat rear tire, and both front and rear were due for a change so I decided to use a local shop since Valdi's is about an hour from my house. What could a professional shop get wrong by mounting tires, right? Next time I pulled in to Valdi's shop for unrelated work, the first thing Valdi said was "your rear tire is the wrong size." The local shop out a too large rear tire on (which is not the end of the world). They also did not replace the tire stems. Or balance either tire. I should have checked, I know, but I did not. I tend to think a shop is going to do what they should, especially on something like balancing tires. Or replacing a tire stem Valdi took both tires off, replaced the stems and balanced them and only charged me for the stems and balance weights. Lesson Learned -- I'll get my bike to Valdi even for minor stuff. Finding a professional shop that operates with integrity is rare. The fact that he and his son are both nice guys and excellent mechanics make his shop a no-brainer for an BMW in Southern CA. read more

I took my 2004 BMW R1150RT to Valdi's for an annual service. I didn't realize he was local to me, so I used to go to Long Beach for service...Not anymore. He knows his stuff!
