I was in the market for something more entry level and SoCal Honda Powersports was able to get me in and out quick with a Honda Navi!

I briefly dealt with SoCal Honda via email to purchase a new 2026 model. The exchange was quick but somewhat disappointing. "At this time there are only two of these models available in all of California. There is definitely a markup/premium on this model. TOTAL price for the motorcycle at this time is $14,800 including all taxes/DMV fees." Greed doesn't aways work: I waited a week and purchased the exact same motorcycle model/year for $2,200 less at another dealership. That's worth 0 star for SoCal Honda. I still give 3 stars because they were honest in their communication and fast to respond. read more

Extremely disappointing customer service I went to SoCal Honda Powersports on 9/20/2026 around 12:30 PM and was helped by Robert the manager. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst customer-service experiences I've ever had at a motorcycle shop. I asked if it was possible to take a motorcycle for a test ride. Robert told me that it was too late because their test rides had apparently ended the day before. The way he communicated this made me feel like I was somehow at fault for not seeing the flyers they had posted on social media. I asked multiple times when the next opportunity to test ride would be, because I was genuinely interested in the motorcycle. Instead of simply explaining their schedule, Robert told me that they only do test rides twice a year and essentially told me not to bother looking elsewhere because other dealerships wouldn't let me test ride either. He then went on to explain that a lot of people come in and try to steal the bikes. I understand that dealerships have legitimate concerns about theft, but the way this was communicated made me feel like I was being treated as though I were a potential criminal simply for asking to test ride a motorcycle. The entire interaction felt unnecessarily hostile and dismissive. Every question I asked seemed to annoy him, and his attitude made it feel like I was wasting his time. What made it even more frustrating was that there were no other customers in the store at the time. I've been riding motorcycles for four years and have dealt with plenty of motorcycle dealerships and shops. I've never had an experience this unpleasant simply trying to ask questions about a motorcycle. This is the closest Honda Powersports dealership to me, but after this experience, I'll gladly travel farther to spend my money somewhere that treats customers with basic respect and professionalism. The motorcycles may be worth looking at, but based on my experience, the customer service is not. read more

I've always been a huge fan of the Ruckus and the Grom, but was always put off by the Ruckus' lame top speed of ~35 and not knowing how to shift on a motorcycle (or a car lol). That's when I discovered the Honda Navi. It looks like a Grom, it's top speed can actually keep up with traffic, and it's automatic. Literally every single pain point for me was resolved with the Navi. I needed it NOW, but a lot of the dealers were closed today. I almost gave up. But thankfully SoCal Honda Powersports was open today 'til 4 PM! I dragged my wife out to Carson with me too. She of all people know that when I want something, I NEED to get my hands on it A.S.A. effin' P. Jerry made the entire process very smooth and quick! He walked me through the basics and how to operate the Navi which was crucial to someone with zero motorcycle experience. My wife and I were out in no time at all. Jerry was super easy to talk to, friendly, and gave off a vibe that you knew you were in good hands. He definitely has that salesperson energy, but in a good way! I used to do sales and you can just tell some people have a knack for it and Jerry certainly possesses that quality (I definitely did not). Anyway, can't wait to ride my Navi tomorrow! My experience is with the Parts & Service Depts. You know you're going to pay a bit more for parts, but you're getting quality parts, gear, and equipment. You don't want to break down somewhere and push your bike home. For Service, they do very good maintenance and mechanical repairs. A very knowledgeable and helpful team. Nice clean facility that's well laid out. When you visit some other motorcycle shops, everything is tight and cramped (sometimes with too much inventory and not enough floor space). Not here. They have a large parking lot and the sales floor is neatly organized. Same with the Parts and Service counter area. Located right off the 405. read more

Unfortunately we were lied to by Jerry when we purchased our Honda 520 Pioneer. My husband and I both sat down in Jerry's office, initially hesitant to sign for the loan because Jerry told us the interest rate would be 19.75% even though he had a decently good credit score at the time, and we had $1000 as a down payment. Jerry then gave us a false peace of mind saying we could refinance in about a year or two. WE KNOW WHAT WE HEARD. Fast forward 1.5 years later, my husband now has fantastic credit so he calls Jerry looking to refinance the purchase and he tells him that he never would've said anything like that because Honda doesn't refinance loans. He took advantage of us because he knew we needed the machine, and used classic predatory sales tactics (he has other bad reviews, take a look) Honda's current rate is 2.99% so we were ready to purchase another machine after refinancing this one, but we will never shop here or recommend this place to anyone. My buying experience couldn't have been better. They open at 9am. I arrived at 8 as I was in the area. I was sitting in my car in the parking lot eating a brekkie sandwich when a nice older guy walked out and asked if I wanted to come in or just hang out eating. It was 8:15. I said I though you didn't open till 9? He said "If someones here, were open". Great start. I have Harley Road King but wanted something auto shift (arthritis in my hand) so I was there to look at the 1100T. We talked about the bike and he said "you might be a bit to big for it" he showed me a very nice used Goldwing and said "this might be better for you". Then he let me test drive it. If you see my review of Huntington Beach Honda. You'll see that they told me "Honda doesn't allow test drives" When I told Rob that he just shook his head. "yeah they do" he said. I drove the Goldwing, loved it but I really need needed to try the 1100T as that's what I came to look at. He pushed it out said "here ya go, have a ball". I never once felt pressured by anyone there. Bottom line....I bought the Goldwing!. advise....Drive to Carson. These guys are easy as hell to do business with. read more

This is just my story, I am not mad at anyone. I went to So Cal Honda and met Jerry. He acted like a salesman, not telling me that he was the owner. He showed me a bunch of collector cars on the property. I was approved for a Honda Finance loan for 30K @6.99%. Jerry told me a fib and said my rate with Honda was 19.49%, making my payment approximately $100 higher per month. This money was being made on what we call the "back end" financing. He was getting approximately $4k extra by misleading me on the rate. This is a common tactic used by car sales finance scum. The issue is that Honda Finance doesn't allow what he is doing. I was lucky to unwind my deal and get out of it. I went to a reputable Honda dealer and they showed me with the computer what he did, and they showed me the real rate from Honda @6.99%. What really bothered me was calling Jerry and him saying "it's just business" when I told him what I discovered. It's a sad world, the last honest, close to me, Honda store Mid Cities sold out. I recently went back to talk with Jerry and possibly remove this review. The sales manager cussed me out, made threats and blamed me for learning what they're doing to people. I've never done anything to deserve what they dish out. Us Honda HRC lovers are so bummed we have nowhere to go. The sales manager screamed at me "not to send anyone there to purchase from them". Went to go SoCal Honda Powersports for some bikes was looking to buy in total 3 bikes was ready to buy, but after seeing A.D.M from $800-$1,100 additional for each bike and yet talked to a person earlier in day for a certain price we noticed they just lied to get us thru the door. after looking at the bikes the manager Robert or so-called manger was a joke, he was rude, disrespectful and just full of himself we wouldn't recommended this place to anybody. and to follow us around the store and to tell us we have to leave at 2:30 when they close at 4 pm I don't know how he is the manager. to lose a sale on 3 bikes and to run off customers would highly never recommend this place go to any other place but here. if i could put a lower star rating then 1 I would this place is a joke!!!!! read more

It had been my dream to ride a motorcycle since 1970 when I was a high school student in Tokyo. Last year, in 2022, I had a dream that told me to get an M1 license, and it took me two months of research to decide to pursue it. My first question was obviously, 'I have never ridden a motorcycle before. Am I too old?' I even went to the police station to talk to a motorcycle cop and watched hundreds of YouTube videos before deciding to go to Clutch in Long Beach. On the first day, I dropped the bike and hit my left thigh very hard. I kept telling the instructor I was all right and continued on the following day, but I also went to the urgent care center in my neighborhood because it was so painful. Everyone else passed the riding skill test on the last day of the training course, but not me. I finally passed the third training course. After getting my M1 license, I found a huge paved lot in San Pedro and went there every day to train by myself. I practiced braking, counter steering, quick U-turns, and other skills for the first three months. There have been a few small collisions on the freeway or surface streets in the past year, but overall, I have gained a lot of experience with car dealers, both American and Japanese. I wasn't expecting much from the Honda Motorcycle dealer at first, but Fernando turned out to be one of the most wonderful experiences I have ever had, even compared to well-known European brand dealers. You can rely on Fernando, and I hope Honda Powersport won't lose him because he is a valuable asset to the company. read more

I brought my bike to them on Dec. 7th, after it had been knocked over by a vehicle. I showed Fernando what I had noticed but asked that the bike be checked out to make sure everything is good. Shortly after I got my bike back I went to do an oil change. I began to take photo documentation of the change and noticed a few things. My front rim had damage from the accident. The new one had worse damage from them installing a new tire. I also noticed damage on the back rim from them installing a new tire there. I had to go to them to get a filter for my oil change and told Fernando. He wanted me to speak with the tech. I went home, finished the oil change, and brought my bike back to show the tech. He said he would get back to me after speaking to the manager. I got no call. When I called them Fernando thought I worked something out with the tech. The tech kept asking if I wanted a helmet instead of the rims he damaged. I have the helmet I want. The next week I had noticed they installed my new kickstand wrong. I could drive the motorcycle with the kickstand down. I called Fernando as this is a big safety issue. Again he had me meet with the tech. When I met with the tech on a Saturday morning he accepted responsibility for the front wheel but said he did not do the back wheel and doesn't know. He also wanted to check the kickstand in private. I did not allow that and he had to admit it was installed wrong. He also said they NEVER looked over the bike. They just replaced what I noticed and the insurance covered it. Next, I get a call from Fernando that my rim is in and we'll set up a time to install it. He then said it was only the front wheel. Fernando said he thought I worked something out with the manager this time. Again, no. I hadn't even spoken to the manager. I only sent him an email so he knew the situation. I sent the manager a lengthy email describing everything that happened. I got a reply from him on Feb 13th saying he just skimmed through it but would read it in its entirety shortly. That was it. I have reached back out to the manager several times and still no reply as of Feb. 23rd. It has been 10 days since he said he skimmed through it. These people did not look over my bike that's less than 1 year old. They only swapped parts that I noticed. They ruined the new front wheel that the insurance covered. I thought Casey was doing me a solid by installing my rear tire for free, but the damaged my rear rim also. They not only did not do a full safety check of my bike but installed the kickstand wrong and made it unsafe. Here I am almost 3 months after dropping it off and I am riding around with 2 damaged rims on a bike that was never inspected after it was hit. Thanks, Honda Powersports. Update: After receiving the email from Fernando stating Robert Cavanah approved the rear wheel and it is already ordered I waited patiently. The next correspondence I received was a letter. I was excited until I saw its contents. It was a complete 180°. Robert admits to damaging the brand-new front wheel but brushes it off as very minor scratches. He states my rear wheel damage in the inner lip of the rim is from road wear and the accident. Although it was never mentioned or added to my insurance claim. He falsely accuses me of threatening physical harm to an employee. He states they will never service my motorcycle again and I am no longer allowed on the premises. Then he gets to his true intentions. He offers $300 if I will take down this review. No sir, keep your measly $300. People need to know about this business. I took my less-than-1-year-old motorcycle to them after an accident and got back a motorcycle that was never inspected, less safe, and in worse condition than when I brought it in. 2004 CBR 600RR Took my bike in to get levers replaced and a new clutch cable connection. Plus had some issues with the bike cutting out. Got my bike back with new levers all connected up. They advised me the starter was loose and battery was a little corroded which was the issue (super easy fix which I will do myself). 2018 Goldwing DCT. I can't tell you what a pleasure it's been to do business with so cal Honda! William and Rob were absolutely straight forward and genuine. No BS and a pleasure to work with. Now here is the long story. I've been researching this bike for years. With the total overhaul of the Goldwing in 2018 I just had to get it! I contacted, visited, and haggled with no less than 8 dealerships. From Temecula and San Diego to central California. All either gave me the run around or jacked up the price by up to $3,000 once it came time to put a deposit or sign. I was done and had resigned myself to not getting my wing for yet another year. Then I went to so cal Honda and walked out with my dream machine in a few hours. William was thorough and very concise with the paperwork. Even when Honda financing couldn't process due to a computer issue, William got on the phone and fixed the issue in a few minutes. William answered all my questions to my satisfaction and got me the dollar amounts I wanted. Rob (manager/owner) is a great guy. He's knowledgeable and very approachable. He is the guy with the knowledge and the experience and is very straight forward. No BS. Just as a BTW.
