Vaden will not stop calling me about purchasing a car from them. I have asked them several times to stop calling me but they continue to do so. At this point, I would not buy a vehicle from any Vaden dealership due to the excessive phone calls. Each time I'm told they won't call again but that's a lie. Go anywhere else. read more

Help and service after the sale!. Extended warranty was charged which I did not want, and sales person Robert did not help get service appointment after the sale. By then the warranty was expired and they wanted to charge me over $1000 for a few minor repairs. I'm 83 and disabled widow with no one to help, family lives out of state. read more

Vaden - Invoice! - Car Dealers Near Me - Beaufort, South Carolina

Great customer service. Nice workers.. Fantastic cars. I loved my salesman, Jim. Great rapport.

CARFAX SWITCH!!! I want to try keep this short and to the point so people will read it. Watch everybody you deal with Vaden Chevrolet, You will be lied to you will lose money with these people. I bought a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline from Vaden Chevrolet March 2024. I paid what I thought was a good price for this used vehicle. March 2025 I was in an accident with this Honda. after the body shop did approximately $7000 worth of repairs, I was asking the insurance company to pay the diminished value on my 2022 Honda that was just in an accident. It was at this point I found out the vehicle had two prior accidents before I bought it And the insurance was not going to pay the $7000 diminished value. The insurance company provided me with the correct Carfax Not the one Vaden presented to me. I went to discuss this with my salesman Gabe and told him I trusted him to make sure this vehicle was good, He either quit or was fired The next day after working there for seven years. Reasons unknown. 6/19/2025 I went to have the oil changed at Vaden, I went to see Mr. Sommer the sales manager, he had no interest in what I had to say at all, and explain to me the Carfax would be initialed on every paragraph and signed on the front page in the back page by all parties. Mr Sommer produces a Carfax report the same one I got from the insurance company , NOT the one my salesman showed me, It had my wife's signature on it, slick move! I didn't see it I didn't sign it there are no initials on the paragraphs to show where my salesman Gabe explained to me the damages . The salesman didn't even sign it being the representative of Vaden Chevrolet. Mr. Sommer had my vehicle appraised at this point and what do you know it was $7000 under what the vehicle should have been without any accidents. I then asked Mr. Sommer if there was anything he could do to help me out since I was a loyal customer. The answer was no. With the vehicles I've bought from them and what my daughter and son-in-law have purchased equals around $225,000 in vehicles In the last 3 1/2 years. Not to mention money spent on service and repairs for these vehicles. This does not qualify you to be a loyal customer to the Vaden sales manager. Even a letter to the general manager of Vaden Of Beaufort did not get a response. Watch yourself with these people they are professionals read more

We bought our truck having done the financial side of the purchase before we went to see it. We liked it enough to buy it and completed the purchase. We have done this for our last three cars and in the past the paperwork is complete in three days not more than five. Fast forward to two weeks and still our loan is not complete. I called their dealership using the number provided and they wanted to put me on hold seven times. I finally got hold of one of their managers (Joe, if that is his name) and they assured me they would investigate to see what was the hold up. Two hours later nothing so I called back and guess what, voicemail. Another two hours passes by and he call back and tells me that the loan paperwork was still in their dealership. Someone "messed up and were waiting for something before submitting it." I told them that they asked me to send the paperwork to their personal email. He told me the reason is because of their fire wall, good grief! Long story short I responded telling them how they were spending my money because I was paying the interest on my old loan. The manager tries to reason with me by stating that this is why they give us a 20 day payout but they didn't. I gave them a payout amount by reminding them of this crucial step. Also, I should have read their dealership reviews and seen that this dealership doesn't have many good reviews. The last time I bought a car from my local Vaden dealership I also got the same kind of shady treatment. So I guess shame on me for not learning my lesson the first time. I will not be shopping at any Vaden again. read more

I'll never buy a car from any vaden ever again. All the salesmen I have met have no idea what the hell they are talking about and try to scam you out of money. There are plenty of other dealers out there, go elsewhere with your money read more

STAY AWAY from Vaden of Beaufort. I purchased a 2022 GMC 1500. I contacted the salesman Willie Hurt to schedule a time to pick up the truck and was told that an employee had an accident with it. Willie said the repairs would be made prior to my arrival. From the time Willie had informed me of the accident to the day I picked up the truck, there was no mention that the truck was not repaired. I flew 2,000 miles to get the truck. When I arrived at the dealership, Willie was not in. They brought the truck out and I noticed that the damage was never repaired. This along with an additional 3,000 miles over what was posted online for mileage. I spoke to the Sales Manager James Blevins, who said he would give me a $1,000.00 for the repair. We negotiated and settled on $3,000.00. The actual cost of the repair came to $4,700.00. My repair shop left messages for them and no calls were ever returned. I never received a penny from them for the repairs. I tried to contact Willie Hurt and was told he wasn't in and then he blocked my phone number. The sales manager James Blevins. Richard Sommer and Robert Hunter were just as dishonest as Willie Hurt. Be smart and avoid Vaden of Beaufort. If you would like to hear more details of my experience with Vaden, please contact me via email at cooperlanebuilders@gmail.com. read more

Went in today to look for a non GMC vehicle they had in the lot. We liked it but when it came to negotiating...wow. What misrepresentation. They added a "reconditioning" fee of $990 to the advertised price online when they had done very little to do what it normally expected of anyone selling a car (oil change, etc.) and on top of this wanted to add their dealer closing fee of over $700. Then wanted to give me an extremely low ball price for my late model trade which I had just purchased two months previous and was in excellent condition with low miles. Stay away from these people. They should be ashamed. read more

Let me start this review by stating I have no problems with the Sales side at Vaden of Beaufort, however the service department (Mostly Fixed operations manager Gino Latturulo)leaves much to be desired. I dropped off my brand new 2025 GMC Sierra for an 8:30am appointment time (2-17-25) for an oil change and to check the transmission. Received a call back from the service advisor around 10:30 to say that the transmission issue could not be replicated (which I'm ok with as it doesn't happen all the time). The oil had not been changed and I was told that they were short handed and would be done by 3:00. I had not heard from my service advisor by 3:00 so I decided to go to the dealership to see what the hold up was. I was told it was next on the list and would be about 4:00-4:30. I asked to speak with the person in charge of the department and along comes Gino. He Didn't even introduce himself, asked for me and asked "what the problem was" told him my issues to which he responded "sorry, we only have 2 lifts capable of handling your size truck". I stated" this is precisely why I had set the appointment, and is it the lifts or being short handed" as I was told by the service adviser. He said its the lifts. Then I stated' this is why your service department has a bad reputation here in town". To which his reply was "Get out". Threatened to call the police after I shared a few choice words and have me trespassed from the dealership. So to the Vaden's or the powers that be, I would suggest Gino's termination as I will never be back as long as he is employed and will advise everyone I know to avoid this service department until this issue is resolved. By the way this was my 2nd purchase from Vaden, but will be my last until? UPDATE: Spoke with the sales manager today who accused me of Physical violence and told me I was not allowed back even for the oil changes included in our deal. This is a total lie as I never threatened anyone. I was highly upset and using bad language but so was there Fixed operations manager Gino on the showroom floor. If you insist on the falsehoods, please feel free to upload the video surveillance from your showroom floor as I am positive I never threatened anyone and was your employee who instigated the situation. So now, I will NEVER return to any Vaden dealership!!!!! read more

After trying multiple avenues to contact the right people and get this situation dealt with and ultimately coming up frustratingly empty. That has lead me to write this review. I have detailed receipts proving the inept "service" Vaden gives a loyal customer of 10+ years who has spent nearly seven figures on both business and personal vehicles. As an example of the inept, frustrating and down right unprofessional ways Vaden operates without going into too much detail is, but not limited to: Being hung up on by service/sales department at the Pooler, GA location. Being given horrible attitude at both Pooler, GA and the Beaufort, SC locations. The Pooler, GA location using a completely wrong phone number and email address that they never updated to try and contact me considering I had just bought a brand new truck on March 22, 2024. Refused to take my money for a diagnostic. Blamed a radiator crack on accident damage that never happened. Called way after business hours at 6:47pm but never answered my return call the next day. I made an appointment for one thing and was told when I got there I'd have to leave it for two-three days and I was not going to receive a loaner vehicle. Not caring that I live in another state and needed to get home. And last but not least I was a personal item was stolen out of my vehicle from someone servicing it and not once did a superior reach out to me or help with the police report. So unless you personally know or are related to Mike Ringer or Jane Vaden Thatcher then beware of doing any business with The Vaden Group. read more

BUYERS BEWARE After buying my truck from Vaden Chevy they encouraged leaving a review so naturally I did. Everything seemed as it should be. To the Owners of Vaden of Beaufort Chevrolet, Buick and GMC, I purchased a 2025 GMC Sierra truck on February 26, 2025. Your financial people wrote the wrong SSN on my loan application to Bank of America, which I had a truck financed with at that time. The loan was denied, because Vanden wrote the wrong SSN on the loan application when it was submitted. I got several other denials from financial institutions, when my loan application was submitted to them. The last denial letter was from GM Financial out of Alington, TX. Their denial letter clearly stated my credit score was 862. The range of credit score is from 250-900. I was denied because of the false paperwork submitted by Vaden of Beaufort. The manager of the Dealership never once came out to me or congratulate me at all. I was never offered any incentives at all for this 2025 vehicle which I purchased at a high cost, none at all. Even to this day I have not seen or heard from the Manger of Vaden of Beaufort. The financial Officer of Vaden told me they were not perfect. I already know this. I explained that the financial officers of this Company are professionals not trainees. Vaden - Car Dealers Near Me - Beaufort, South Carolina

My company's fleet management decided to use Vaden for my new company car. My car was on order since March, but with COVID, everything was delayed so that the auto makers could start making ventilators. That didn't bother me since I had nowhere to go during the lockdown period. It's unfortunate that their fleet manager at Vaden quit during this entire episode and wasn't backfilled. My car arrived in July, but no one alerted me until August. That's only because I was notified by my fleet services that the car arrived (in July). I picked up the 2020 Equinox on August 3rd. The person who was handling from Vaden did a great job with the paperwork and followed COVID mask rules (even though SC doesn't require). He showed me the car and gave a quick overview of the features and safety of the vehicle. It's now been 7 weeks and my license plates and registration still haven't arrived. My temporary tags have expired. Not sure if this was due to Vaden, SCDMV or my fleet management. The people at Vaden were very friendly. I didn't have much of a part in the negotiations, but my car is fantastic. read more

I feel like the only way you can get in contact with these people is by writing a bad review. I wrote one 4months ago and that's when they finally reached out. Well I am still having issues with the financial department I have called and left voicemails sent emails and was even told someone would get back to me multiple times. Not once has anyone reached out to me. This has gone on for about 8 months now of nobody helping me and me constantly trying to get in contact with them. These people have terrible work ethic and customer service. read more

I have to take a moment to give the Executive Level Leadership of Vaden kudos. All to often customer concerns go either unheard or purposely not addressed. Being a big proponent of feedback, today we received a very surprising phone call from the corporate office about a very disheartening situation we recently had with one of the stores. It wasn't necessarily with the store, but with one person in particular. We were provided another opportunity to tell our story, and request any other remedies for our concern. It was good to hear leaders take the time to follow up and seem concerned about our experience and most importantly the public they serve. I truly hope that this has been a learning experience for them as it has been for us. read more

We called the place to check if a car is available that we saw online and confirmed price and stock number with one of the guys on the phone. We drove almost an hour to fund out, they tried to have me test drive a car double of the budget we have? Turns out that car was not on the lot, although we drove after they confirmed to us! And there was no big excuse from their side or any other offer, it was just "sorry but we have a 2016 available..." ! No thanks! Never again! False advertising to catch people that drive out there, then try to sell them a more expensive car! Sadly, a lot of people will do that. We walked off. Always professional and get my car done in timely manner....I would highly recommend them to anyone needing auto repair work done.

Visited this dealership looking for a Miata, found one that I was interested in and was willing to make a deal. I had cash in hand and was ready to walk out with the car that afternoon. I have done plenty of research and knew a good price for the car. Was going to trade in my Scion FR-S which was valued at just under $10,500 for a "good condition" KBB trade in and $14500 for private sale. They offered me 6,800 for the car and full price and every extra charge possible for the used Miata. I almost laughed when I saw their offer for my car and decided to try and make the deal just buying the car itself without a trade in. They refused to budge on the price. Wouldn't even drop the docking fee. Brought me a sheet claiming it was the cheapest one in a 250 mile radius. They then tried to tell me they had 5 people who were looking at the car even though they have had it listed for 50 days! The manager stopped by to shake my hand to thank me in the middle of price talks? and then just left. They clearly didn't respect my business and I took it elsewhere. Found a hendrick dealership the next day in Charleston with the same exact car with the same miles in better condition, they were willing to work with me and I walked out the door $1000 cheaper than Vaden, with a nicer car and less miles. Don't bother visiting this store if you have any other options. Side note: Use carvanna for trade ins, they offered me $13000 for my frs, which was higher than any dealership could match read more

Should have listened to the reviews. Very unprofessional. Kept showing me cars over my budget, and when I said it was over they kept pushing it. When I told them I needed more information they wouldn't give it unless I signed a random piece of paper that I was definitely going to buy a car that day. They played the whole "let me talk to my manager" made me wait, and when the manager came out he said "let me see if I can get this approved." Waste of an hour, just bought my car on Carmax read more

What an unfortunate experience! Went to trade my vehicle in, having seen a pre-owned vehicle online that I was interested in. I was given a Kelly Blue Book cash offer (NOT trade-in offer) for my current car- red flag number one. I was then convinced that it would be "less expensive" to buy a new car from the dealership-red flag number two- , and was told by the salesman I was assigned that it had a certain feature I needed (cruise control) - the vehicle I purchased does NOT have that (shame on me for just taking someone at their word!). The new vehicle I purchased had 3.100 miles on it (I found out after purchase that is quite high for a "new" car)- in addition, I just found out they financed me for WELL OVER my trade in price (about $4,000 over)- I would have been much better off buying the used vehicle I originally wanted. I am at a total loss- the car I have now doesn't serve my needs and the staff were NOT transparent with how they handled anything. Must have had my head screwed on wrong the day of my purchase for not catching all of this, but upon reflection I should have NEVER gone through with a purchase there! Spare yourself! read more

If I could do a negative 10 rating on un dealership I would! They are scammers that have been making money by taking people as fools for the longest time. And Gabriel, their salesman is the perfect example of a smart ass, arrogant, desperate, money hungry salesman that will do anything, even yell and argue with the customer to get his way. He needs to go back to serving at restaurants--he sucks as a car salesBOY! First, 1. They get you in the dealership with fake agreements online 2. Then they try to bully you into financing with them OR they will raise the car price!!! (Horrible business practices!) 3. You tell them your bank will finance you for 60 mo at 4.5% because your credit score is 800----but they want you to go with them for 74 months at 8% (Who cares what your score is!!!You can re-finance later!!!! They say! --Again, Horrible business practices!!!--OR they will raise the price of the car!) 4. They have over 60 lenders and not one of them could get close to your banks offer (???). 5. By the way, do not ask Gabriel any questions because his responses will be: "I do not know", " They did not tell me what percent rate", "I am not worried"--Like I said before, go back to serve at restaurants, at least you will know what the menu says!!!(Or will you? I am worried!) 6. By the way, I had to ask several times to see my credit score and ask even more times what percentage rate they were offering me---they were trying to avoid these questions and not give me the answers! To all consumers out there---do your homework, compare, and beware of this dealership. Once you sign your name to a contract---they will wash their hands, you are history, and on to the next victim!!! I would skip any VADEN dealership---there are many more out there that have decency, and today Carvana, Vroom, and other online car buying offer better deals with less fees and even a chance to return the car! Just avoid VADEN!!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS! read more

I do not recommend this dealership at all. They sold me a used car with only one key and when I called to see if I could get the other key, the women who sold me the car "convinetly" no longer worked there the VERY next day wtf?? So I talked to the manager and he assured me he'd email me when they got the key. Surprise! I never got an email or heard from vaden again. Now the original key is broken and I have to buy a new one because I never got the spare. Thanks vaden for this piece of shit car. The other issue I had is after I bought the car the women told me I had to leave it over night so the mechanics could check it out and I could use one of their newer cars until mine was done and two days later the breaks began making a loud humming sound that they didn't make before when my husband and both test drove it. Basically i just feel like this dealership is shady and please do your reasearch and stay on top of these people. I should have done that first. read more

We bought a brand new 2022 Chevy Silverado this year from Vaden. It has less than 15k miles on it. When we got up this morning the battery was completely dead, not even able to jump start it, we tried all morning. In a panic we went out and bought a $250 battery but did not replace it. When we looked into it we found out that as long as it's under 36k miles then the battery would be covered. So we went through roadside assistance through Chevy to get a tow truck to take the truck to the dealership, thought we were going to be good to go. The tow truck company never showed, A1 towing company and when we called they didn't even have an estimated arrival time. Before we wasted our time getting another tow truck we called the dealership to tell them the situation and find out how long the service would take and confirm that it would be covered. They did confirm that the battery was indeed covered but they let us know that it could be days or even a week because they're currently booked out. My next obvious question was if we would be given a loaner because this is my only means of transportation to work. They told us they only had 5 rentals and we could only get one if one was returned. Absolutely useless. So to make sure I can go to work tomorrow since I didn't make it today, my boyfriend is out there in the cold trying to replace a battery that shouldn't have died. Not a single person we contacted was helpful with this situation and I wouldn't recommend Vaden to anyone. Take your business elsewhere. read more

We bought a truck from Vaden in 2016. We didn't have a pleasant experience then either however, we were younger and more naive at that time. Each call they ask if I'm interested in getting a new car and each call I request to be removed from the call list because we live in a different state. I am tired of being called multiple times and so is my husband. They do the same thing to him. I don't normally post reviews but this might be the only way to get Vaden of Beaufort to leave us alone. I had done plenty of research before stopping by the dealership, both on the car I was looking at as well as the dealership itself. After scouring BBB, Dealers.com and even Yelp, I noticed that Vaden was not ranked very high. I am very happy to say the complete opposite to that point-of-view, as from the moment I walked in the lot it was a great experience that made it seem much easier than car buying has been in the past. I had a chance to look around a bit before speaking with Andrew about what my intent was, then was introduced to Johnnie, a former soldier who worked very well with another veteran and understood much of the experiences that are more specific to my situation. Between he and Andrew, it was a great experience and I really having nothing poor to say about the time spent at the dealership. If I could leave less than 1 Star, I would have. Took my vehicle here to replace my glove compartment in June 2019. Paid for the part and waited 7 months for it to come in. Called several times and was given the run around. Finally got a hold of the Service Manager who explained to me they were going through several changes (firing and hiring of employees). Trying to be understanding, I agreed to have them replace my glove compartment after it magically appeared at Vaden (after being told I would need to wait several months until they could get it. After already waiting 7 months for it). You think I would have learned not to do business with them. Nope. Check engine light came on and decided since they had fired and hired new people, maybe this time I would actually be okay. Picked up my vehicle from being serviced and my steering wheel was scratched. Before even pulling off the lot, I went back and spoke with Summerlee about the damage done to my steering wheel. Summerlee took two pictures of the scratches and said she would need to speak with her Service Manager. Sent several emails to Summerlee to find out an updated status because she said she needed to speak with her Service Manager. Today I get a phone call from Gino Lattarulo who mistakenly thought he was calling a leather repair shop they do business with. I said no, I do not do leather repair. Then he said he believes the scratches on my wheel came from jewelry. The scratches are at the front of the wheel, almost on the side where the palm would be placed (not where the normal placement of a ring would be). "They viewed the pictures and affirm that the marks on the steering wheel are not new, but are common with regular use over the course of time, particularly with jewelry wear." My steering wheel was not damaged before dropping of my vehicle for maintenance. My steering wheel was damaged while left in their care. Highly disappointed in the response time and lack of ownership for damaging my steering wheel. I will gladly drive an hour away (or more if needed) in order to have my vehicle properly taken care of without the fear of being given the run around or lack of integrity when they damage something. I will make sure the military community and everyone else I come in contact with knows to stay away from this Chevy house. read more

Phenomenal customer service. We worked with Jake and he did everything he could to get our family into a vehicle within our budget that still met our needs. From beginning to end, Jake made sure we understood every detail, every action, every purpose.
