I dreaded going to buy a vacuum in person (even though I had been unsatisfied purchasing multiple…read morevacuums online) and was so happy (actually astounded) how much fun it was at our Super Vacuums store. Mike asked great questions, recommended options and demonstrated with great vigor the pros and cons of different choices. We left with big smiles and the best vacuum I've ever had. Thanks Mike - we'll be back! Barb & Charlie

Paid around $20 for bags to go with my mother's Miele vacuum. I thought that was rather pricey. The…read moresalesman (if I remember his name was Shawn and he said he is the DM) explained that this is the Miele brand bags, not a no-name brand. Thus, better quality. I hope so. Then he went on to demonstrate how a good vacuum works. His Riccar (made in the USA) vacuum sucked up the powder on his demo carpet in seconds and it literally pulls the dirt into its head like a suction. Riccar vacuums are sold through independent vacuum retailers nationwide. They seem like very good vacuums with decent warranties. I hope you get what you paid for, so to see speak. Not cheap but probably very effective. Well it was informative to know the differences in vacuums out there. Apparently, it's always better to buy vacuums with bags. Bagless ones, like my Shark, don't capture all the dirt. They even spit out dirt per Shawn. Even the expensive Dyson brand is not carried anymore by this independent vacuum retailer. Too many issues with Dyson. About two years ago, I brought my bag less Shark vacuum in for servicing to this store. They cleaned the filters and in clogged the blockage inside the vacuum for me. That cost around $60. My Shark, a cheaper vacuum that is sold at Walmart, is still running. I'd consider buying a more expensive better quality vacuum from this dealer when the Shark loses its bite forever.

In 2003 I bought my complete set of kitchen appliances from SouthTowns Appliance at this location…read moreand they would have gotten 5 starts if I were writing Yelp reviews back then. Today, the parts, service and repair people who were in the back have expanded to the entire facility and are keeping up the tradition of excellence. My 19-year-old dishwasher finally wore out. Me, being "thrifty" aka "cheap" priced a new one at Best Buy, Lowes and Home Depot before heading here. Each of them had a model to fit my requirements (24 inch stainless steel front and tub) on sale. None had the one I wanted on display or in stock. I would have to order and wait. Only Lowes had someone in the store who knew how to find a dishwasher in their system without getting help. The appliance department in Best Buy looks like someone went through and shoved everything into a pile. I saved the best store till last. The dishwasher I wanted was on display in the front of the store. The knowledgeable salesperson knew the price and answered my questions. Within a minute I knew the price here was better than any of the big box prices. I ordered my dishwasher on the spot. It was in stock, delivered, and installed at the date and time promised. Bravo!

We didn't even realize they sold appliances but when our old washer broke we called the owner, Mike, and he professionally told us that it wouldn't be worth repairing such old equipment. We bought a new washer and dryer pair from him at very competitive prices and they were just installed by two young men (Alex and Christian) who were excellent. Efficient, helpful and polite. Will definitely buy future appliances from them.
