Other hotels were booked and this place had one remaining vacancy. The room was small but felt cozy. The decor was complimentary to the mountain setting. The wooden floors were pretty. The bathroom was small but updated. It was quiet. The parking was convenient. The room came with a cute back porch and an area to walk around. The only downside was I felt it was a little overpriced for what you got. The low quality sheets on the bed were worn out. The piling made them feel like coarse sandpaper. It's a shame because the mattress was very comfortable.

From reading…read morethe old reviews it seems like the new owners have really been putting in hard work to bring this place back to life; they are still working on it but everything was clean and amenities have been upgraded from previous photos such as flat screen tv with plenty of satellite channels and a ceiling fan with a remote (which I had to take a picture of because I loved it and want to find one for myself). If you want fancy and new this isn't the place for you but if you are like me and enjoy the motels with midcentury history but modern upgrades, it's a great stay. They accommodated my dogs for a lower pet fee than anywhere else and the customer service couldn't have been any better. I'd definitely stay again.

In business 22 years, their level of hospitality cannot be matched. After being stranded on the ridge Thanksgiving weekend due to car trouble, Cindy and David attended to our every need. We truly felt cared for as though we were family! So much so that they are forever inscribed on my Christmas fudge list. It was that memorable. I urge you to support this family business!
