Is very small spaces and very expensive , everything is very old too. Definitely this is not my favorite space

We have been here for 10 months and have truly enjoyed our stay. Shout out to: Herlinda Sophia Gloria Jesus and the hardest worker ever, Moises! Adrianna and Jim! The resort is clean and safe. The staff are like family. They take pride in their work and it shows! The amenities are fantastic! The pool and jacuzzi are ALWAYS clean as well as the showers. Absolutely a top tier park. Very clean and very friendly staff. Adriana especially provides outstanding customer service. She goes above and beyond to help accommodate. Great place to stay if you don't need to be close to San Diego. But no matter where you are there's traffic. Close to stores and restaurants. Staff is friendly. My only complaint is that I wish there was a bigger place for the dogs but I know that would take up RV spots. read more

I can't say enough good things about this RV Park, The Vacationer was one of those places we booked for 6 months to try it out and stayed permanently, that's how much we like it. Besides the constant renovation efforts, the cleaning up is also daily, always improving the landscape, spaces, lightings, the park has a management that responds immediately to the tenants needs. Jim Nicolete is the star of this business, since day one we felt at home, he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our space, relocated us to a better spot, but most importantly, since we are an LGBT couple that has been together for 16 years, we never once had any attitude or comment from him that made us feel less equal or different, quite the opposite, me and my husband feel special every day living here. We were very lucky to have chosen this place to call home. Haven't even mentioned the big pool with a gazebo and a bbq place, the SPA with clean hot bubbles and the pool table in the party/conference room. All the other workers deserved a mention in this post but I am going to praise Adriana, which is the right arm of Jim, perfect since day one. This older urban RV park appears to be mostly residential. Check in strictly after 1:00 PM otherwise you have no option but to wait outside the gate and can't back out into the street. Not really suitable for bigger rigs. Tight sites and streets with ntruding untrimmed trees. Cleanliness could be better: our site had dry dog turds and other debris. Office clerk was courteous as was a maintenance worker. Phone number goes to a reservations call center and there isn't an option to speak with someone at the park. Not great for vacation RVing. read more

I've never had a cockroach infestation in either my home or trailer until i moved into Vacationer. Within the first week i witnessed a swarm of roaches on the patio, scattering in all directions. I did what i could with store bought chemicals but the roaches eventually got a foothold in the trailer. We brought it up with mgmt, which offered a different parking spot. We moved into the new spot only to discover that one of the guests in our vicinity was a bit of a pervert, making lewd gestures to women in the park and spreading his used bathroom tissue around the restrooms and even throwing it onto lots of other guests. Unless you want permanent roach problems, your best bet is to stay away from this one. read more

If you're ever need I gotta to stay at an RV spot in El Cajon, DON'T come to this one. There's always issues at this rv park. If it's not then shutting off the water without notice it's the power going out. And it's always happening every other week. And the office is hardly ever available half the time. And when they are in the office they haven't a clue what's going or at all take the responsibility to be helpful. I don't know how this place has stayed in business. FYI, it's currently 89 degrees outside and only getting hotter, and I have no power to use my a/c or fan. read more

Sunland vacation or RV park is definitely one of the best places to stay in San Diego. Whether it be long term or short term. The staff there is very accommodating, helpful, knowledgeable, and very fabulous!! I have to give a shout out to the manager, Jim and Adriana in the office. They are just wonderful people to work with and I am happy to have been able to stay there as long as I did and have a wonderful time. The park is always clean. The maintenance people are very helpful anytime. And it's just a place I want to stay in the future!! read more

I really like this RV park, I have been here two months, which is longer than I intended to stay, but I am comfortable here. It really is the best way to live for less in the San Diego area, whether for a weekend or a few months. The place is quiet and the other RVers are friendly. It is in a good location with easy access to I-8, a grocery store I can walk to, and other shopping nearby. The bathrooms are clean and include showers. I appreciate the manager, Jim, and office assistant, Adriana, and the rest of the staff have been great as well. The only thing I would like are a few more recycle bins, bc they get full and then people do not recycle. read more

I have been working for Vacationer RV for a few months now and I love the community they have here. The guests are all very nice and my associates are very easy and friendly to work with. Vacationer RV is part of the Sunland Family and they have several resorts around the San Diego and Riverside area, what I like the most about the resort is the amazing poeple I am able to meet while working. The property is clean, they have maintenence and housekeeping on site 7 days a week and Security at night also 7 days a week. This is a family resort so we get poeple from all ages. On Saturdays, (not every saturday) sometimes the company provides special surprises for guests, such as bbq's, ice cream day at the pool, or even movie day for the kids at the club house. read more

This is a great RV park for a short or extended stay. The staff is very friendly and accommodating - and they are dog lovers too! The general manager, Jim, is easy to work with and dies a fantastic job at keeping the guests informed of everything going on in the park. He also outs together special social gatherings just for the residents! The security does their job efficiently. The park is always clean too. They have many amenities here for all ages - pool, spa, laundry facility, kitchen, and game room. I really want to give this place less than 3 stars. But the management does a good job with what they have. The sites are very close together with a high percentage of permanent residents. But they have security people at night, and during the day watch who comes in. The pool and spa are decent, but often crowded with kids. The restrooms could use a little work. read more

My Husband and I have been at this location for five months now . We find the office girls to be very helpful and kind! The park is well maintained by grounds keepers , gardeners and cleaning staff!! Our experience here has been really great. MILITARY FRIENDLY!!! We originally went to Circle RV to inquire about the park and spoke with Jim who was very nice. He recommended Vacationer due to our family needs. I immediately got a good feeling from him. Just very honest person. We went to Vacationer and talked to Jennifer at the front desk at she gave us all the info we needed. She is very nice and tries to be as helpful as possible. The rates seem to be the most reasonable around!! The park has a good mix of types of people and RV's and is overall clean. The pool and spa are very nice! The rec room is a nice amenity as well. The fenced dog run is really helpful to have and is well maintained. I would recommend being closer to the pool area if you have an option. Seems pretty straightforward there, just follow simple rules and you should have a pleasant experience. read more

I lived in this park for almost 6 months. The office or management never answered the phone and never call back when I left messages. Never! I have been gone 1 month and they did not refund my deposit and still will not answer the phone or return my calls. The park is just concrete and pavement next to a major freeway. I was in a bind and Jim and his staff were wonderful to work with. The facility was very clean and the staff really wants to help if they can. The park is conveniently located off the 8 FWY. Your current residents are not the problem your lack of respect for them and others is. I have met some great people there and love visiting them when I'm in town. I pulled out early because not once but twice while in the office I heard a woman presenting herself as the VP of the company speaking very unprofessionally and rude towards residents with no cause. She also snapped at me for just letting her know several washers and dryers weren't working. She told me to go somewhere else, so I pulled out. You should appreciate your full timers as well as us snowbirds. We keep you in business. read more

In town for work, originally booked for 1 month then pending approval could stay the duration(3months total) while in town for work. Got word that we had been approved, once talking with DJ(clerk in office) was informed I would put another deposit down and would need to move to a larger more expensive site, because " he promised my current spot to someone else and he didn't want to have that awkward conversation with that person). Decided this wouldn't be a great fit for the rest of my stay and left after the 1 month. Since I have left I do believe he no longer works there. Beware most people go well over 10-15mph throughout park, drive the wrong direction, on one way markings, drugs are dealt throughout park, per searching a registered sex offender lives there, found a meth pipe behind our RV, apparently needles were found in the men's bathroom. Police came in and arrested people in the RV across from us. Found a handful of nails and screws in our site, thank goodness we didn't have tire damage, informed office and was never contacted my management to discuss. Kids constantly unsupervised around RVs and pool. Security does there best but this place is hard to keep up with all the shady individuals. Ashley is very helpful and nice. Also the cleaning lady for the bathrooms does a great job. Probably okay for a night or 2 but not for extended stays. read more

We loved it here so much, we stayed for 2 months! Hot tub bice and HOT, pool heated too! A nice rec room with a kitchen too. The saffected is nice and very helpful and accommodating. Just returned from a two night stay over the weekend. About the only nice thing I can say is the weather was great. I have stayed at the RV park in La Mesa and enjoyed it, but this location looked nothing like the pictures shown. We were surrounded by people living full time there. While I did get a decent site, the lowlifes around us made me want to leave. Got to watch a man and woman come to blows in street in front of us. Then the police came thru. Not exactly relaxing for our weekend. I was afraid our stuff would disappear. (It didn't) just a bunch of locals chain smoking and wandering around. Pool was full of teens yelling on Sat. and the smell of pot. Behind us was a trailer that was a disaster and smelled like cat poop. The site was filthy and looked abandoned. I will not be returning. Good Sam gave this a 9 plus--- there is no way . Very disappointed. read more

I've been vacationing here for a while and I think it is quite a nice place - although quite noisy from Highway, Ford Dealership, Main St very close by, and from super-loud motorcycles and trucks inside the park. I would like to make a couple suggestions here to help improve the park: do not permit people with loud trucks and/or motorcycles to stay here - and keep homeless people off the street from coming in and using bathrooms, showers, swimming pool, hot tub and rec room especially so because the spread of Hepatitis by homeless people is a serious concern now in the San Diego area, not to mention other dangers posed by vagrants. read more

This trailer park is better than many others only due to nice big showers and bathrooms, nice warm pool, rec room and the grounds look nice. I do have to complain about the girl who works in the office, Jennifer. She is very unprofessional by gossiping about tenants and instigating. She has a very bad attitude and she has even told tenants negative things she purposely does so to make other tenants uncomfortable. She does not do her job to the fullest. She finds shortcuts that affect tenants despite them paying for services she should be providing as some are a part of her job description. She is one person to ruin the entire experience for many tenants. She also gives tenants' personal information out to other tenants which is very unprofessional and possibly dangerous. I hope there will be personnel change because she is not a good fit. read more
