NEW OWNER ALERT! Cockroaches, raw sewage, broken toilets, syringes. Booked 2 bdrm 2 bath beachfront…read more8/24-8/31 for a family reunion at a neighboring hotel. Have been a customer for 17 years as have many family members and friends. Checked in, paid my balance by check and they cashed within an hour. Arrived in room to 2 dead cockroaches and a toilet which wouldn't flush. A live roach runs into bathroom and under sink. Told mgr Lily she called maintenance man who should arrive in hour or two. In the mean time, chased 2-3 other cockroaches killed one. Wife flushed other toilet to see if it worked and it overflowed on to floor and shower backed up spewing sewage. The smell was unbearable. Put down towels called manager she said she'd call plumber now. Went to get a glass in the cupboard and found a glass full of syringes. Obviously this place has not been cleaned. BROKEN TOILETS, LIVE AND DEAD COCKROACHES, RAW SEWAGE,SYRINGES were the issues within the first two hours of our family vacation. Plumber arrived and fixed plumbing. Still nobody cleaned bathroom floor or shower. And it reeked of sewage. We asked if anyone was going to clean up the roaches and the manager finally did. Manager tried to get us to stay with discounts and other rooms but they had nothing comparable and we were disgusted and really couldn't see ourselves staying anywhere in this place. We chased a roach and moved a chest of drawers and found RODENT AND COCKROACH FECES (see photo)Final straw was my son finding roaches climbing up from the drain in the shower into the pan. That's it. We never unpacked so we put everything in the truck and drove 2 hours home. Vacation week ruined. Family reunion ruined. I called the next morning and spoke to Lily and said I was driving down to pick up my refund. She confirmed that I would be getting 100% refund and that the owner was there and valued us as a customer and wanted a second chance. All I wanted was my money back I said. Drove 2 1/2 hours to be greeted by a check for half my total. So they kept $2400. Unbelievable. I will never give uLIARS on top of it Enjoy the photos. I have more and video to be posted. UPDATE. Owner called 9/12 and said he would be sending the balance of the refund. STILL NOTHING. After a month, I received a full refund. Not pleased with what I had to do, and was prepared to do in order to effectuate the full refund. They could have tried to make it right but failed. Sorry to say we won't be customers again.

They have beach towels, toys, chairs and umbrellas to make your beach day perfection. The rooms are completely remodeled with a modern, beachy feel. The beds are comfortable with fluffy pillows and white comforters. I'm here in the peak season and it's around $7k for a week. I personally think it's worth paying more to be right on the beach. It's absolutely heaven to wake up to the sounds of the ocean and see the sunset on the water every night. Also, it's dog friendly!

We were surrounded by other rooms, we either didn't have any neighbors or they were really quiet. I was able to hear someone talking through the wall as a mumble, but that went away. Because of the seemingly thin walls I avoided watching the laughably small and awkwardly hung t.v. The worst part was the bathroom which because of the ac situation makes you open a window that stares directly at the door of your neighbor. They do have a nice enough lobby area with some coffee and snacks as well as a good place to sit an enoy them. The location is the selling point, very close to the beach and a few blocks away from downtown, I didn't use a car while there. That was great. They also have a really cool rooftop hangout area with chairs to sit and relax. For what it's worth, my wife liked this place more then I did.

The positive experience ended there. The first red flag of unprofessionalism came in the form of me referring a new client to Love Living, who ended up signing a contract with them and then them completely failing to even acknowledge that I brought them new business, let alone thanking me for it in any way. The second red flag came in the form of an egregious accounting error where they overcharged me by $450. I had to call and explain their error to them. They refunded my money but did not apologize for the error. The third and final red flag came in the form of an outright violation of one of the important terms of our agreement: ensuring that the new tenants put all utilities in their name upon possession of the property. This caused me a lot of headaches and I realized that I was paying them a lot of money to create more headaches for me than anything else. I checked our contract and realized that I can legally terminate our agreement without notice upon any breach of contract from either party. So, I sent them an email notifying them that I am terminating our contract due to their violation of the terms. Their response was that they were also thinking that it was not a good fit. Again, zero acknowledgment of any wrongdoing, more like gaslighting me into thinking that I had also done something wrong. At this point, I asked them to refund me their 9% fee from the date that they originally violated the terms of our agreement (10/15), but instead they tried to make it seem like I've been a bad client and I don't deserve a refund. Honestly, I have been appalled at the lack of professionalism on so many levels. To treat a client this way, not only one that pays you, but one that brings you new business without expecting anything in return, is unimaginable. Updating review to one star because instead of apologizing for the awful treatment of a client that went out of their way to bring them new business, they just keep gaslighting me and making excuses, but please note that they are not able to deny any part of my review. Everything in this review is 100% accurate.

The construction lasted all day both days of our stay with short breaks for lunch. I popped into the office to ask about the noise and the person behind the counter said she was unaware of any construction despite the obvious noise, and that they were working right outside the front door of the office next to the pool. She said she'd check on it and get back to me. She never did. The website didn't mention anything about an ongoing remodeling project, only stating, "These recently refreshed Villas..." Had there been a message about any construction, I would not have booked the room for this trip. Nearby MarBrisa Carlsbad Resort listed that there was ongoing construction on their property, which is why I chose somewhere else to stay. When we returned home, I received an email from the Capital Asset Management Group asking that if we enjoyed our stay to reply with a review. Only if we enjoyed our stay? I told them about the unpleasant experience. Still haven't heard back from them. Wish we could leave a wonderful review but instead we feel like we were duped into paying good money for a work-in-progress experience. I'd say email or call ahead to assess their current situation but there's a 24-48+ hour lag in response times.

I stopped in at the end of each night to grab hot apple cider from the lobby, and we enjoyed it while sitting at one of the many fire pits before going back to the room. The only odd moment was on our last night when two fire pits turned off as we went to sit at them. The first turned off next to the lobby, then we moved to a second in the pool area that also turned off. After the second one, we just went back to our room and looked back to see both working again. We went back out and sat for a few minutes by the upper deck fire and both stayed lit. We had a great experience overall and we will be back soon.

I asked about upgrading to an ocean view room and was offered a room for an additional $100 that barely had a view at all. On top of that, I had booked a room with two queen beds, and they tried to offer a one-king bed room instead, which didn't make sense for a family stay. Once we got to the room, the beds did not appear to be true queen size and the room had a strong unpleasant odor. The air conditioning did not cool properly, and some areas of the room did not seem clean. We tried to make the best of the evening since we were only staying one night. Later in the evening, after I had taken a shower and was simply walking around the room while my family watched TV, we received a noise complaint and someone knocked on our door. We were not being loud at all -- just normal movement in the room. It was surprising and honestly upsetting to be approached about noise when we were simply settling in for the night. It made the stay uncomfortable and took away from what was supposed to be a relaxing beach getaway. Overall, the cleanliness, room conditions, and customer service need improvement. The property has a great location, but our experience did not match the expectations.
