Every little detail was considered for guest comfort. We are currently sitting outside enjoying a beautiful evening in front of the nice fire pit in the charming courtyard. Right next to us are a couple of lovely cruiser bicycles we are tempted to ride (if it wasn't dark already). This modern loft is immaculate and has everything you could need or want in a short term rental: we were greeted with a lovely bottle of Washington state red wine as well as coffee, snacks, Pellegrino and Montana water ;). It's perfect for a single person or a couple rental - and because it has two bedrooms you could also share this with another couple or a child or two (if you don't mind sharing the stunning single [large] bathroom). It has one private parking space but there's lots of street parking as well. The beds are uber comfortable and the decor and art is simply perfect with the modern architecture. Almost everything is automatic from the lights turning on when you walk throughout the unit to the blinds to the toilet flushing. Oh and no need to bring a hairdryer or toiletries as those are provided. The full kitchen is beautiful and functional (even has a teakettle for the tea lovers). It also has an awesome hidden washer/dryer. Another awesome bonus is there is none of the typical "strip your beds and throw linens in the washing machine" rules that go along with a lot of VRBO style properties. Just get up and go on to your next destination (like a hotel). Perfect walking distance to almost any great downtown eaterie (we highly recommend Blackbird for dinner and Jam for breakfast)! We were bounced from our booked rental when owners decided to sell, so tried the Thextondale property after Mountain Home assured it was clean as our spouses were coming this trip. We arrived to a Marmot infestation with feces covering all the outdoor spaces rendering them unuseable. The porches, tables, chairs were covered with feces (see photos). We could not navigate the front entry of the home due to the land mines, so we went through the back laundry. Pictures cannot provide the smell of this room, as something was dead underneath. We did not use the laundry, sprinted through the "gauntlet" to get out of the home. The screens were in poor shape, so any attempt to open windows at night to cool the home resulted in mass invasion of bugs and mosquitos. Had we been told any of this, we would have found another rental. Mountain Home did assure us the home was clean, which it was not. The layer of dead bugs and flies on the windows sills, and the layer of dust/dirt under furniture was awful. See pictures on YELP review of Mountain Home. Upon calling Mountain Home, they did respond immediately to clean the feces and home. Unfortunately, sweeping off the feces left a residue on all the exterior areas and furniture. We were left to clean the new debris the rest of the week. The owners provided one night discount on our week, clearly not enough as we never would have rented knowing the condition. The home was charming and the property was beautiful. It simply needed to be thoroughly cleaned and the rodent problem resolved prior to our arrival. I will not rent the Thextondale, nor recommend anyone to do so either.

Upon check in, we found that the rental was dirty, the towels and bed linen were piled up on the bed, there was food crumbs on the counters, floors and liquids and other funky stuff dripped in the refrigerator. The tv was broken off its stand and lying face down on the counter, the bathrooms were dirty with urine in the toilets. But the real problem was there was no way to lock the door between the residence and the adjoining storefront. We were told by Alaina that the people leasing the storefront were "trustworthy". We refused to stay in that type of filthy and unsecure rental. Alaina said we would have our money refunded, but 3 months later and several calls to Bluebird in Bozeman we haven't seen a cent of our $1900 dollars. The crux of the entire debacle was the erroneous and misleading listing on Furnished finders. There was NO reference that upon check in, you would be responsible to clean up the prior tenants filth and wash all the laundry. No reference to the fact that the residence could not be locked from the storefront. There were paper signs on the walls that said Sal's Storage on one door, Guests only on the bathroom and the extra bedroom. Which would lead any rational person to believe that others are coming in from the storefront to access the bathroom and other rooms. The whole thing was just creepy. The only bed in the place was listed as a queen but was actually a double. Also the misleading part on Furnished Finders was photos and shining reviews from her Bozeman(not Eckert) properties peppered in with a few pictures from Eckert, leading one to believe that the Eckert CO property was something it was not, but also the Bozeman reviews made Eckert appear that it was in a wonderful downtown location with bars and shops steps away, when in actuality it was across the street from an antique shop and a gas station mini mart. My advice is to stay clear of this business and unscrupulous owner.
