Jamie, the owner of Vaca Landscaping continues harassing me over my Yelp review. Here's the last email from him April 7, 2022:
"I'm not giving apology letter and 10,000.
Keep Your yelp review. I have several clients that are going to write reviews, soon you will see honest reviews. I tried to work it out with you but you are unreasonable man.
By the pictures you posted of your timer and wire, I can see you are cheap. Last time we spoke you bragged about how much your home is worth. That says a lot about you. I work with clients with over 20 million dollar estates and I take care of over 40 commercial sites. Your property size worth means nothing to me.
Your dishonesty will catch up to you. Karma is a real thing.
Have a good one. I have real customers that appreciate are work and don't cheat contractors.
Jaime

Here's my response:
"For the record.
This latest email from you about my feedback from the mess you as contractor is pure harassment.
I have not made any demand on you for any letter or sum and have made that clear in previous email to you.
You are the unreasonable contractor. You have never previewed the work I requested along with a photo of the specific issue (a leaky PVC irrigation pipe in a trench under my backyard lawn). You dispatched two unlicensed and uncertified "laborers" to repair a rather simple pipe leak where I had exposed it for them.
One could not speak a word of English. The other spoke only a word or two. It was impossible to have a conversation with them.
The one that couldn't speak a word of English dug aggressively a far larger hole around the PVC leaky joint and in the process slashed the electric cables. They tried to blame me. My photos demonstrated I had not exposed any cables, let along cut them. They worked no less than 8 extra hours to repair the cable connections, without success, and told me over and over "It was free. No charge for that time."
The very next day you contacted me. You told me there's be no charge for the pipe repair, but you had no intent of returning to repair the irrigation system and cable hookups that your men damaged so my system would work. And you charge me with being dishonest.
Your charge: "I can see you (me) as cheap." That is an insult and harassment from you, a licensed contractor. You by law must be bonded for work left incomplete and was caused by your people.
I never "bragged" about the cost of my home. I told you in my email that the damage your men did to my decorative hedge to my home that was worth $3M.
My feedback related to the above issues was to the best of my ability and records, correct and complete.
I have been totally honest with you, and have suggested a path forward."

Note: Jamie of Vaca Landscape has not publicly responded on Yelp with his falsehoods and name calling. Notice also that Yelp continues to post Vaca's overall rating as "better than average." Outrage!
Note: Novato Better Business Bureau does not list this business among others in the same type of services that they endorse with high ratings.
