In my office, she helped me cull through years of paperwork that had been accumulating in piles. A few months later, I hired Louise to come back and help with our kitchen. Again, she helped us organize everything, from labeling and alphabetizing all of our spices, to helping us get a handle on our pantry and kitchenware. Louise works really hard, is easy to talk to, can work with different personality types (several of my friends use her too!), helps you donate/trash unwanted items, and makes you love your house again. I highly recommend her and I can't wait to tackle another room in a few months!

While Rydawell is good at cabinetry (they get 1 star for that), their foray into building out…read morecamper vans (i.e. Sprinter) has resulted in an extremely poor experience for me on the mechanical and quality elements. Not only did the build out take forever (7 months), but since picking up my van on my first/second use, I have had roof leaks because they didn't install the "C" gaskets right for the AC unit, I experienced multiple leaks in the pressurized plumbing system (see pictures below) which caused wood damage to the cabinetry due to poor PEX seals, I still have no relief from the misbehaving (and Rydawell recommended) Ecoflow electrical system, I discovered they failed to insulate the sliding door, they actually plumbed the gray water lines into the BOTTOM of the gray water tank using the same penetration point as the drain (this caused water to back up into the shower pan when using the sinks (not to mention it would fail completely in freezing weather) and I discovered that the Rixen heating system was installed against manufacturer recommendations (to name just some of the issues). This has caused me thousands of dollars to get repaired (so far) at another (competent) van builder. While his hourly rate may seem cheaper, it takes him much longer to accomplish work items. As an example, his quote to install a 2nd battery (which he was supposed to have left room for) was twice as long as I was able to get it done elsewhere by professional van builders.

Seattle Suds responded to my request for a quote same day and we were able to schedule a visit so I could walk them through the work to build out the quote. While here they explained their process and talked specifically around the considerations they would make for different materials- especially the fence and lattice as older materials can't always take the full force of water. They also washed the easement on the side of the house careful to note that asphalt has a coating and they would treat that carefully as to not compromise the asphalt. The quote was super helpful as it broke down different aspects of the job so I could understand where the costs went up or down. They were able to schedule us quickly as we had our own deadline to get the work done. Our patio has seen 15+ years of Seattle weather and while the original fence has maybe a couple years left in it Seattle Suds work was remarkable in its results. Work was done in a morning. They made themselves available for a last check in before they got started and when done walked the work with us. Neutral and subdued colors, varied natural textures, layered and homey, soulful. Furnished with timeless and quality elements that could work in future homes too." Gwen has executed on the vision perfectly all the while taking my feedback and taste into consideration. Gwen selected furniture, carpets, lighting, art, plants, and décor for my office, living room, bonus room, master bedroom, kitchen, outdoor patio, and hallways. She helped me accessorize my kitchen with all new cookware, knives, silverware, gadgets, etc. Saying that Gwen selected all of these items does not do justice to her work. The pieces selected were of the highest quality. Quality observable to the eye and to the touch. Most the pieces selected are themselves a work of art that give me joy just to look at daily. Some of the pieces were custom made to be the perfect fit for the space. Gwen found the craftspeople and helped design these custom pieces. Gwen was a consummate professional throughout the entire process. She did all the coordination of ordering and deliveries. Gwen found electricians to install the lighting and spent all day here making sure that a custom light fixture was installed. Her punctuality is something that I must comment on because when she told me that she would be at my house at a certain time I could set my watch to her arrival. I sincerely appreciated this punctuality because I believe it speaks volumes to how she cares about her clients and her craft. All of this work and sourcing was during COVID shutdowns when lead times on furniture exploded which made the project more difficult.
