In my case, I must not have portrayed well what I wanted, and they did not pull the correct things. The three hour fashion show of new clothes they pulled for my new look was all wrong. That said, Darcy bent over backwards to adjust their fee and was fully apologetic and workable in recognizing this was a miss. We all wonder when we pay $450 for a service if it will be worthwhile. I can say that in this case, the service did not work for me, but the owner Darcy did.

First, in our Zoom consult she quickly understood the gaps in my wardrobe and the aesthetic that I wanted. Second, nearly every garment she bought for me fit well, giving me a huge selection of items to choose from. Third, I appreciated the range of styles she brought. Many were just what I'd asked for, and some pushed my comfort zone a bit. Fourth, she shopped at many stores and avoided that "store mannequin" look. Fifth, she found several beautiful, quality pieces that were on sale, so my final clothing tab was well under our planned budget. Sixth, she was very efficient with the in-home closet audit. We cleared out items that I wasn't wearing or didn't match my syle, and I have new appreciation for the items that I kept. She also gave me great recommendations for how to organize my entire closet, and I'm utilizing the space much better now. I ended up buying 12 pieces across nearly every clothing category. Now, stepping into my closet is a pleasurable, low-stress experience. Maggie was also a fun woman to spend 6 hours with, and I greatly appreciated her hard work, expertise, and companionship through the process. I would definitely work with her again. Thank you Maggie and Styled Seattle!

She is NOT a one-size-fits-all stylist with generic suggestions. Her breadth of knowledge and how to apply it to every body type and style personality means that every client of hers comes away with a clear understanding of how to dress for their own body and their own style and personality - and that they can then carry it forward on their own. I witness over and over the change in confidence of these women, and (for me) how differently they show up in front of the camera. I wish every woman could give herself this gift - it's such a game changer that affects so many areas of a woman's life, both personally and in business. One of the best investments in your self you can make.

It's like she saw the version of me I'd always been trying to express, but hadn't quite figured out how to bring to life. Not only did she educate me on the types of clothes that truly fit and flatter my petite frame, but she also introduced me to colors, patterns, and shapes I never would've picked up on my own. Now, I get compliments on my outfits all the time, and I genuinely feel more like myself when I get dressed. And don't even get me started on the tailor sessions, pure magic! For the first time in my life, my clothes actually fit me. Everything is custom-fitted to my proportions, and the difference it makes is unreal. The whole process with Mellicia was fun and empowering. She didn't just upgrade my closet, she also helped me step into a version of myself that feels polished, confident, and aligned with who I am. If you're on the fence, don't be. Mellicia is a style genius, and working with her has been incredible!!

Style By Wendy was a pure delight to work with. I hate shopping. My stress level goes through the roof when I am in the racks or in the dressing room. Wendy made the experience a lot of fun -- and I walked away with great items -- from Marshall's no less -- that I would have never bought on my own. Wendy is an expert at body shape and color coordination and how it relates to clothing and accessories. When something doesn't work in the dressing room, Wendy hits the racks while you relax until you find something that works -- or move onto the next store. For casual work wear, she steered me into v-neck tops (I've always been exclusively crew neck) that my wife absolutely adores. I picked up some dress shirts and pants as well. Wendy then helped me floss my closet and clean out all the clothes that no longer fit or are no longer hip (I've been holding onto some business attire since the mid 90's). Wendy's specialty is women, though I've seen two other men whom she's dressed and they look fantastic as well. She also offers compassionate and empowering advice and moral support to people exploring their gender identity. For a good friend, having Wendy by her side was just the courage boost she needed as she walked into the women's section for the very first time. Talk about a life changing referral. Best advice -- don't shop for a full day -- bring snacks or plan a lunch break to recharge your batteries. Most importantly, have fun and step outside your comfort zone even if you don't buy it!

Returning home, she'll build you outfits blending your old and new items. Before our initial meeting she emailed me a style questionnaire. An in depth look into myself and what I truly need and want.I really appreciated all the info that she wanted to know about me and my style. She is very serious about her role. Upon our first meeting I was so impressed. My first thought was Oh my goodness! This beautiful totally put together woman is going to help me pick out clothes!! YAY! Catherine had made me a storyboard of magazine looks that I had submitted with my questionnaire. We broke it down and got to the heart of my fashion dilema. Such a thorough meeting. I left feeling great! She then came over to my house and we did a serious closet overhaul. WOW!! Amazing! Catherine had me go through everything. We discussed the things that were working and she gave me such great suggestions. It was instant success! She knows fashion, fit, color, and style. She helped me see my closet in a whole different light. Now the items currently hanging in my closet are ALL pieces that I love. I have had so many revelations about my body and how I shop thanks to our work together. We now have a complete list of what I need to add to my wardrobe. I am looking forward to our continued work together and shopping out in the field. Everyone should have Catherine's help. She is a gem!!

But, this year I turned 40 and decided to have a big party with a 1920s Gatsby theme. She was in my life at the right time to not only help me dress PERFECTLY for the event, but she also helped several of my friends with their outfits, as well (and we all looked liked different portions of the 1920s, not the same guy). Catherine's demeanor is laid back, yet sophisticated. She looks amazing, and yet you never get the impression that she is looking down on you or criticizing your "look." She is complimentary with the things that make "you" really you, and builds ideas around that. One time I saw her address a friend who thought her look was alternative (in a bad way), and Catherine addressed the ideas this girl wanted while propping up my friends' amazing uniqueness. Catherine has become much more than a fellow pug owner in the very short time we have known each other. I consider her THAT friend that not only looks amazing whenever we meet, but the professional that is able to understand what my "look" is and work with it to make me look amazing, as well.

The sprawling, multi-level marketplace dates back to 1907 and remains one of the oldest, continually operating farmers markets in America. It's narrow arcades are home to dozens of stalls selling everything from candy and cannolis to flowers and jewelry. The main attraction, of course, is the fresh seafood, which arrives every morning from boats trolling nearby Puget Sound. At peak hours, hundreds of tourists crowd around the Pike Place Fish Market, near Pike Place's main entrance, to watch fishmongers toss Salmon, Halibut, Cod and other customer selections from the market floor to the sales counter to be filleted and wrapped. Onlookers clap and cheer as the fish fly through the air, while the mongers politely remind the crowd that they're operating a working seafood market, not a circus. When you're done watching dudes toss fish, take some an hour or two to explore the rest of this massive marketplace. Pike Place has six levels of shops, restaurants, brewpubs and produce stalls across two large buildings that are bisected by a roomy pedestrian plaza with outdoor tables for enjoying a bite when the weather cooperates. The market gets oppressively crowded on weekends, so go early if you can. There are multiple parking decks at the complex and near the waterfront, but if Uber is an option, you'll save the stress of finding a spot. No visit to Seattle is complete without a visit to Pike Place Market. Plan on spending half a day here if you want the full experience, but I found a couple hours to be enough for me. While you're in the area, walk a couple blocks over to Seattle's fabulous waterfront and stroll the pedestrian plaza for some amazing views of Puget Sound. The city's new Overlook Walk pedestrian bridge lets you move between the two without crossing busy Alaskan Way, and makes this area of downtown an incredible destination for tourists and locals alike.
