Buffalo Mac and cheese and buffalo chicken salad. Loaded fries on the side

Saw mac and cheese on the board outside and had to stop in. Loved the mac n cheese and the buffalo chicken salad! Very funky smell but could be from vegan product, not entirely sure

    The wall of dogs.

Visiting Manchester and was recommended this place. The food is very tasty, good portions, and the whole atmosphere is very hip and nice. The staff and owner are also very kind and welcoming. Definitely the kind of place you can take a person who isn't into vegan food to completely change their mind. My only gripe is that I didn't have service in the diner and there isn't any complimentary wifi. If you do end up going, ask to see the wall of dogs.

Damn fine food. Good service . Dog friendly . Recommended

I got lost looking for the restaurant after my phone died but finally found my friend at the top of the steps leading down to Earth. Service is set up like a cafeteria, and for just £7 you can pick 4 items from the line (up to 2 "mains".) I think everything in the line and dessert counter is vegan - I was struggling to find dairy/egg items in the menu. I feel like it's more palatable for them to sell themselves as a vegetarian rather than vegan restaurant. I picked up a hearty bean chili atop quinoa, braised cabbage, and a beautiful mushroom pie, in addition to a lime/lemongrass bottled drink and coffee/walnut cake. Portion sizes were huge and you feel very healthy eating the food - the bean chili could have used more seasoning, but the savory mushroom pie was divine! Creamy, savory, and textural, I was surprised at how well they veganized this classic. The cabbage was like tame sauerkraut, which cut the richness of the pie well. The cake was mildly sweet but had a wonderful bitter aftertaste, the scent of ground coffee lingering in my palate long after I finished the last bite. I had a taste of my friend's raw blueberry cheesecake and we had quite a bit of fun trying to guess what they made it out of. It was alright - I would've wanted to try the raw tiramisu, if they had it.

On my recent visit, the server noted that the build your own tapas board was perfect for two people, so my partner and I chose this for the evening. It was full of delicious vegetables; my favourite part was the cauliflower wings. When we first arrived around 7pm on a Wednesday night it was on the quiet side but things livened up when a 10 person group came in! Also, on Wednesday's the cathedral practices their bell ringing so beware if you think that might be a distraction. Looking forward to our next visit!

It completely ruined our New Year's Eve. We were seated and then ignored for 90 minutes while food was served to every other table in the restaurant. No explanation. No update. Nothing. Only after repeatedly chasing staff were we finally told at 10.25pm on New Year's Eve -- when it was far too late to go anywhere else -- that there would be no food for us at all. The excuse was vague "communication issues" with the kitchen, followed by the chef refusing to cook because it was supposedly past cut-off time, despite food still actively coming out. There was no real apology, no accountability, and no manager in sight. Because we were told so late, everywhere else was closed, leaving us hungry on one of the most important nights of the year. Sitting customers for an hour and a half on New Year's Eve and then casually telling them they won't be fed is not a mistake -- it's gross incompetence. With service this bad, it's astonishing this place is still operating. Businesses like this give the hospitality industry a bad name, and frankly, I won't be surprised -- or disappointed -- when it eventually fails. It certainly doesn't deserve customers, trust, or second chances. Avoid at all costs, especially for special occasions. I honestly hope this restaurant goes bust this year. They don't deserve to be around any longer...

I took up residence in the dimly lit back area, where the cheerful waitstaff promptly took my order of a blood orange hot chocolate made with almond milk (!) The drink came out frothy and light, with a cloud of chocolate-dusted milk foam atop subtle, smooth chocolate. No bitter or artificial aftertaste. While bopping along to the background music and working on my laptop, I was informed that Leaf would close early at 19h instead of 20h, so I seized the opportunity to order dinner as well: the jerk lamb rump, and an order of jasmine pearl tea. The waiter helped me verify that the lamb was free of dairy, and soon I was chowing down on succulent roast lamb and garlicky roast beans. The mango jam was a perfect accompaniment to the meat, but I found the coconut/coriander rice too mushy to my taste. It helped me to imagine them as mashed potatoes instead, haha. The tea was sensuously fragrant, and I welcomed the scented fog clouding my glasses. I wish I could have stayed there longer, but I might return for brunch or tea - Leaf is truly a serene, wonderful establishment.

The prices are all under £10 so very reasonable, and it's all mostly healthy food. They offer a takeaway option as well which is slightly cheaper in price. The waitress was very friendly here and the atmosphere was casual and not too noisy but not dead quiet either. The downside is that it took ages to get our food; 40 mins wait for my falafel bowl and my mums falafel wrap, which seemed awfully long for a small cafe. Just to note they do not serve non vegan stuff, not even dairy milk is available but they have lots of alternatives like oat, almond, soya and coconut. Everything was well presented and the restaurant is very cute with little velvet armchairs and nice lighting. Will definitely return, not least for the yummy look Victoria sponge and brownies!

When you first arrive, the waiter will sit you down on a table and then you order by scanning a QR code or going to the bar area. Didn't make a lunch reservation in advance but was still able to get a good table. - Bundo Chaat - Probably one of the best reinvented Indian dishes I've ever had and is a MUST at Bundobust. The crispy samosa pastry mixed in with the creamy yogurt and slightly hot chili sauce is maybe one of the best dishes I've ever had. Usually I'm not a huge fan of cold food, but this was actually so unbelievably good, like eating an unhealthy salad. The potatoes and chickpeas on top were also fantastic. - Chole Saag - Not as big of a fan but still great nonethless. It's kind of exactly what you would expect: chickpea and spinach curry paired with some kind of bread. I will say that for the price, it is incredibly nice and generous that they give you the puri on the side because usually at other Indian places in London, you do need to order it as an extra. Overall, absolutely fantastic place to eat while in Manchester. Do not sleep on the Bundo Chaat at all, probably one of the best Indian foods I've ever had. Also during the weekday they have a lunch deal where's its 2 for £9 which is honestly super nice of them to do and also very filling too.
