The day i Went for my pedicure they had me sitting in the water for 30 minutes. Before doing anything! Ughhhh My water got cold. I asked them to warm it up to put more hot water and they said OK and They never put more hot water and never even asked me what kind of Pedicure I wanted .Then I get home and the gel polish just peeled right off my big toes and when I went back the next day after I had called and asked if they could fix it and he said yes come in. I get there and they tell me I have to wait an hour not very good customer service at all. So Frustrated WILL NEVER Come back again!! Then two of the ladies had the audacity to ask me if I peeled off my gel polish like why would I pay money and then peel it off for what Reason what I have to do that.! read more

This place is wonderful. Went with my sister and nieces to get our nails done for the first time and they are so friendly. Very efficient and very clean read more

Oh man. I came here a few years ago for the first time and had a bad experience. I brushed it off and gave a second chance. I got basic white tips (not hand drawn) French, with clear acrylic and gel top coat. $55. Pricey but the application was fine. Then a couple months ago I wanted to treat myself but didn't want to travel too far due to having a small child at home. I decided to revisit this salon. I'll say, the pedicure is extremely basic but my toes looked cute when I left! The acrylic's however are another story. I paid $65 for this set. I'm aware I should have spoken up but the manicurist should have known better. This is so basic. It's just bad application. I'll just do my own nails at home now :( read more

Outstanding service, was welcomed as a walk-in. I got a Pink & White Acrylic nail manicure. The finished product was amazing! Clean Salon. I also had my eyebrows waxed and they were very efficient at this. Looked fantastic! read more

Avoid this place if you want a well done job. I went in for a pedicure and was not satisfied with the service. The lady who did the service was an old lady and cut me throughout the whole process. She also cut my nails very short and I didn't notice until she was trying to file them even more and it hurt. I didn't want to say anything but paint was everywhere and it was so bad. I went back to request a refund just so everyone working would get involved and try to blame me and why I didn't say anything when she was doing it but I did and she lied saying that I told her to go very short when I had just told her to trim them like normal. They only wanted to give me half a refund to be "fair" for both sides but why am I going to pay for something that looks horrible and they even saw how bad it was but didn't care about their customer. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE. read more

Terrible service, do Not, I repeat DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE. I have tried them a couple of times thinking every time they will improve but they never do. They are a true disappointment too bad. read more

Always a long wait even when you have a appointment. Kind of pricy for the type of work you receive, There is room for improvement. They speak a little English. So sometimes hard to communicate what you want or don't want. read more

According to local reviews, this is a great place. Unfortunately, I do not agree due to the rude service provided. Prior to coming, I called to verify that they could take my entire party on such short notice. Over the phone they seemed pleasant and helpful. Upon arriving, I asked for the chart with all the services and prices, I was told they only have one. I was already soaking my feet when I was told, therefore, I asked my husband to take a picture and show me. The gentlman that works in the salon was speaking ill of us and even swore at my husband in Vietnamese. Fortunately for us, my husband can understand some Viet. SANITATION- I am not sure how well they clean the pedicure bowls. There was a young lady sitting in the chair in which my husband was seated, prior to his pedicure, she was literally off the chair for less than 2 minutes when they seated my husband. I didn't see them sanitize between them! I hope they can provide better service, in the future, for the sake of local people. read more

First the salon is very dirty. There's a lot of dust everywhere. The ventilation is poor, the chemical smell is strong. Second, I've given this place three tries the quality of the fills are really poor, the nails are lifting within days, and they drill the fill and your cuticles down so much you need to return in a week. Third, the pedicures are expensive and mediocre at best, they're more concerned with up selling you on a gel polish than you leaving with a great pedicure. I would only return here if this place gets an overhaul , it's not worth the price for what you get. read more

Horrible! Would give negative stars if possible. I have never had such a bad experience at a nail salon. Went in asking for a fill and was told I had to soak off my nails and get a new set. Then the gal wouldn't put tips back on and left me with a crappy dip nail set. I will never go back. read more

Busy place and not very welcoming. I received the worst acrylic fill there I've ever had. He did my nails way too thick, I asked and he said that's how they're done (guess all the fills I've had for the past 15 years were done wrong). Cut me under my nails when attempting to fix the thickness. They have hundreds of bottles of polish on the wall but every choice I made from the palettes they presented to me was either out of stock or empty. No recommendations were made from the colors they had. I settled for a French manicure which is my least favorite just to end the 1-1/2 hour long visit. It was a horrible manicure. I did have a gel pedicure first and was happy with that. I would not recommend this place for acrylic fills at all. I will not be returning. To add to the bad experience, this was the most expensive salon I have been to in the valley or mountains. Definitely not worth the price at all. Especially since I now need to go to another place to have them redone. read more

V Nails - Taken the day after the fill. Way too thick and bad painting job. - Nail Salons Near Me - Chowchilla, California

Best nail salon I've been too in the Merced area! The tech fixed my nails that were ruined from another shop for only 20$. Definitely coming back! read more

Update on my previous review. I walk in here with my mom and order her a deluxe pedicure solid red polish. They gave my mom a basic French pedicure which she did not like cause they nearly cut her while cutting her cuticles. I asked for sqoval acrylics that were solid black with the ring finger red with a matte finish, they look nothing like the photo that I showed them in the end I ended up with coffin nails. And they told me my total was $75 I was like why that's not the price I received over the phone and she told me cause they were coffin shaped and I said I did not ask for that I asked for sqoval and she's like we'll I can't change them. read more

Worst gel manicure ever! I could have saved 30 dollars and just done my own nails at home. You shouldn't come home after a manicure and feel as if you have to try to fix your just done nails. My nails were filed crooked, polish is bumpy, not polished all the way back to the cuticle. After asking her once if she could file them straight and she didn't listen I thought to myself...cut your losses and just never come back here again. read more

Always look forward to my pedicures with Quincy! Very relaxing in the massage chair. The deluxe pedicure is the absolute BEST!

i came in for an appointment for 3, all 3 of us were u happy with how our nails turned out. they did great on the pedicure though. the younger woman that did my acrylics man handled my hands, were very rude, didn't fix my cuticles, didn't even clean up her work and worst of all didnt do what i wanted at all. when she already started out doing some color i didn't want i changed my mind and showed her another simple picture of french tip and somehow she still messed it up. payed $95 anyways read more

My family and I came down to Chowchilla and I desperately needed a pedicure. There aren't much reviews on any nail businesses in this town, so I went for the nearest location. I never made an appointment; walked in and was seated right away. The salon was clean, and service was good. I chose the $20 pedicure which included a hot stone massage. My heels could have been sanded more, but overall I'm satisfied and will come again. I met a few local women and they agreed that they love this salon and highly recommend it. read more

V Nails - $40 coffin acrylic full set - Nail Salons Near Me - Chowchilla, California

Worst place ever. I had a fungus and they scolded me loudly in front of the entire full place about my lack of hygiene! They berated me continuously about it. They had no concept of nail fungus and I have impeccable hygiene. Then they brought all the coworkers over to gasp and laugh at me. It was beyond humiliating! Their process is painful and they leave you in pain for days and make you wait forever even if they say 5 minutes. Don't go! read more

I went in on a whim. It's scary trying some place new especially because it's hard to find a mani/pedi place that is clean, friendly, and does quality work. V Nails had all three, Score! I did the basic pedi but with gel. Catherine did my pedi she is super sweet and used a lot of product. She did three nice and even coats. Will definitely be my new place. read more

Terrible. They don't provide professional work, and are usually out of the colors they offer or use very old products. Don't go if you're in a rush seeing as they take twice as long as the other places I've been to, but you receive half the quality. Don't bother making an appointment. I've made two, and they will take you when they're available after you walk through the door, just like a walk in. Finally, the other reviews are right that they will do what they want despite what you tell them or ask. One star simply bc "they get the job done". It doesn't look amazing or clean, but they do come out painted.. So yea. read more

At first my nails looked fine but as I went home I realized they messed up so much! They didn't finish drying them, the polish smeared so much and I asked for Silhouette but they didn't give it to me so now my nails are ruined and it's only been a week read more

Super friendly! Very professional and do a great job on my nails! Clean and relaxing environment! So glad I found this place in Chowchilla!

I have never had someone make so many mistakes on my nails before they burned me with the dremel and cut my fingers with the file

I needed to get my nails done. So there weren't many places to go In my town, I noticed that the person doing my nails was being really rough with the file and when he was painting he didn't get my full nail and they were lumpy(I got a full set) the after math is that I dislike them very much. read more

I really like coming here; it's more along the lines of what I'm used to-- being from San Jose-- and right down the street from my place in Chowchilla! (But then again, isn't everything 'just down the street' here? heh.) The women that work here are hilarious! It's a little pricey, but totally worth it. Get the deluxe package, and spoil yourself :) read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. The pedicure I received was reasonable in cost and was relaxing. They use hot rocks, massage, and lotion. The problem was when the person made my toes bleed by cutting along the edges of my toe nails down into the skin. Yes blood. My toes hurt for days and were sore and swollen. I will never go back for a pedicure. I had already stopped going for acrylic nails because I ended up with air spaces under my nails and had 4 separate fungus spots that needed treatment. That was a year ago. The pedicure was recent. I simply don't trust them any more read more

Poor customer service. They do not take down appt. So don't ask. Even if you tell them you'll come back, they will not take down your name. They do the minimum on pedicures. It took them 40 min to seat me, then another 40 min yo get to me. The man was rude when i was getting a fill, when he didn't have the color I had requested he said he didn't have time to wait for me to choose another color. Really!! Im paying you, so you will make the time. It took them about 3 hours to do a pedicure and a fill. I will not go back, I rather drive a few more minutes somewhere else who will not insult you and do a better job. read more

I honestly try not to be one of those people who only post bad stuff . But right now I'm sitting I. My truck crying ! I went I. With nice length nails and asked to have them shortened just a bit . The two people in there are NOT the normal people . The younger guy who was doing my nails completely screwed them up. I asked for them to be square on top and round on the sides. When I looked up from my phone he had completely destroyed my nails they were different lengths and shapes he kept asking me it was good I told him no. At the point that he left my nails he could not reshape them anymore without leaving me with absolutely no nail I let him finish , I paid because that's the type of person I am. However it actually upset me to not be able to give him a tip because he was so horrible do not go there ever he also cut himself twice on his glove taking off the tips of his own glove leaving his fingers exposed After he removed his gloves his fingers honestly looked Disgusting possibly fungus on them!!! I'm going to be calling the health department to report them read more
