Not great. Our pilot light went out on our Peerless boiler. A seemingly straight-forward job…read moreturned into a saga that left us without heat for approx. 12-13 days until we went back to our old plumber who got our pilot light working on a consistent basis. Our saga with Gary and Metric included a "journeyman" plumber (not licensed) who had to get a part/some parts from a plumbing wholesaler who turned out to be closed on the Saturday that followed the Friday this individual worked on our boiler & told us that he would get this part & work on our boiler on Saturday. Gary tried to assure us that they knew Peerless boilers. Hmmmm. His "journey man" plumber replaced 3 parts without getting our permission to do so or showing us/explaining what was wrong with our boiler. After the parts were installed & we paid approx. $1300, the pilot light worked and then died out within a few days of the initial work. Gary himself came onsite, and we discussed the pilot light, as well as possible reasons why the pilot light went out. He discussed conducting an assessment on our gas pressure/controls, the pipe "off the boiler" and a pipe in the chimney lining. When we tried to follow-up with Gary on a Monday (still without heat) to come back and look at our boiler, he told us that he would "keep us posted" in about 1 to 2 hours about getting "John" to our home after moving around some schedules. Approx. 3 hours later, I had to call Metric because Gary never contacted us about the status of sending "John" over. Apparently, they were really busy. Bottomline: Gary and his "journey man" plumber did not service/fix our boiler so that the pilot light worked consistently. Their plumber installed parts without getting our permission. Gary's comms to us about when someone would return to work on our boiler changed, leaving us with the impression that he was a liar. My husband is upset that he was stuck paying approx. $1300 for a boiler that needed to be fixed by another plumber (who had to get paid.) Very concerning situation. My Italian-American family member would say that Gary/His Business are Full of Sh*t.

From our very first…read moremeeting through the completion of the installation of our new central air conditioning system and gas furnace, Billy demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and genuine pride in his work. He arrived exactly when promised, completed the entire job on schedule, and his pricing was more than fair. It is clear that quality workmanship is important to him, and he paid close attention to every detail throughout the installation. Billy also showed great respect for our home. He wore protective shoe coverings before entering, kept the work area exceptionally clean, and thoroughly swept up before leaving each day. One gesture, however, truly set him apart. On the very first morning of the job, he called from a local bagel shop and asked if he could bring my wife and me fresh bagels for breakfast. In all my years of hiring contractors, I have never experienced that kind of thoughtfulness and personal consideration. It speaks volumes about the kind of person he is. In today's world, it is refreshing to find a contractor who combines outstanding craftsmanship, fair pricing, reliability, and exceptional customer service. Billy exceeded our expectations in every respect. I would not hesitate to hire AFAB Construction again and recommend Billy Greg to anyone looking for honest, dependable, and top-quality HVAC installation

PDS Contracting Llc We hired Pete and his crew at PDS…read morecontractors to redo our front patio area and to put in a patio in the back of our house. We had met with Pete twice before the date he was supposed to start work. He was very nice and professional. He was young (in his 20's) and clearly driven. He acted like the job was simple and gave us options. He wasn't great about responding to emails when it came to asking questions or getting prices for the stones we chose It was on the day he arrived with all his machinery and equipment, that he told us that he would have to do something a little different than we originally agreed on. It was my husband who pointed out that his plan to put in new stone wouldn't work for a number of reasons. Pete hadn't really thought it through and realized his mistake. We then had to make a split decision to go with another, less desirable and attractive front porch area. Rather than putting in new stones, we had to fill the area with small pebbles. (Which Pete also didn't think to point out that now we wouldn't be able to showel a path to get in the front door in the snow. ugh!) Pete didn't apologize but acted like it was our fault. He offered us a discount for the material difference. However, we had to put in the stepping stones ourselves. Next, Pete was halfway through putting in the stone patio in the back (which looks great I must say) when he realized that he hadn't anticipated a drainage issue. Again, he was annoyed with us because he was going to have extra materials left because the patio would have to be smaller than originally planned. He wanted to charge us for the unused materials! Eventually, he offered a small discount and no apology. In the meantime, by bringing all the equipment on to our lawn, much of the lawn was completely torn up and ruined. (This is a big lawn) He had not warned us about this. He acted like putting down topsoil and grass seed was no big deal. And that ruining the lawn was no big deal. However, we were leaving on a trip the following day for 3 weeks! Needless to say, the lawn has not grown back in, and Pete again blamed us for this. Pete was unresponsive to owning up to his mistakes and we never received the refund we asked for. On the up side, Pete is a hard worker and his guys are professional enough. Even though they accidentally cut a thermostat line to our carriage house that will cost us to replace and they left me with a broken water pitcher from the water I would bring out to them on hot days. I think they ran over it. We cannot recommend using this company. Pete is young and is driven to grow a great business. He has a long way to go to get there. What an unfortunate experience this was. Thank goodness my husband was able to at least catch mistakes before it was too late. The grass will need to be replanted which is another expense we could have lived without, not to mention the water bills!
