    Spice heaven!
    Seta A.

So I am wondering why I have not been here before?!? I am giving them 5 stars for their service, patience, and their unbeatable prices!!! If you're looking for an ingredient that is Mediterranean or middle eastern, they probably have it! In regular portions, or bulk, for incredible prices! I came here yesterday, and returned today with my brother. I found a treasure and want to share it. You need to know and be prepared: there is a distinct smell that shouts out spices as you make your way inside... In fact perhaps, just perhaps there are little spice nymphs that sprinkle it on you as you enter the store. It's deliciously addictively pleasant! I think I shall be cooking tonight. And will be back next week!

This is the only signage of the store. The windows are covered up.

Friendly staff! Chuck was very nice and informative. The displays are bare bones and nothing fancy, but I didn't mind it at all, but do not let this discourage you. The store is tiny and a bit warm. I am not sure the ac was on or working. The exterior looks like nothing, but my friend knew about this store, so we walked in. The dried spices are reasonable too. I wanted to support a family owned business and try something new! I bought Turkish coffee without the spice cardamon. The vacuumed sealed ground coffees had a percentage of cardamon, which Chuck informed me is a common spice in Turkish coffee! It was priced reasonably. My friend bought one pound too, and she also bought dried fruit and some ground dried spices. All the prices are quite reasonable. So next time you are in the neighborhood, check out this tiny gem of a store.

They have "THE" French butter, and yes I went home with $100 worth of butter. No regrets. The workers were quite welcoming, and the prices are NOT overly marked up at all. I was expecting prices to be more expensive than usual, but I was very surprised and delighted to see that it wasn't. Whenever I head to this side of Cali, I'll be sure to stop by here for my treats.

My goal was to get some French butter as I saw they have a huge selection of it. I found so many other items like 3 freezer full of items like pain au chocolaté and croissants made in France. All you have to do is bake it at home. They also have frozen baguettes. I got frozen pastries and I also got some French butter and their selection is massive with different flavors. I typically get this butter at the grove but this place has sooo many varieties. I also picked up Italian flour (to make pizza dough) and canned pizza sauce that they recommended. I picked up some Patata Torres chips as well. Will definitely be back to explore the store more. Definitely worth the visit if you're into cooking and like gourmet foods.

The lasagna is delicious, and the noodles melt in your mouth. I like it because it's not overly heavy like some other lasagnas. It comes with two piecea of garlic bread. During my last visit, one was a bit burnt on the edges. The pastrami sandwich is really tasty, and the bread is soft but still has a nice chew. It usually comes with marinated diced tomatoes, but I always ask for them on the side. If you dine in, the sandwich comes with two deli sides. On my last visit, I got the potato salad and marinated artichokes and both were great. The potato salad was creamy, and the artichokes were super flavorful. For dessert, I tried the tiramisu, and it was a bit underwhelming. It had a slightly gritty texture. Since it's imported from Italy, I had high expectations, but I'm guessing it's shipped frozen, which might be why it didn't taste fresh. I wouldn't order it again. They also sell Italian cookies and gelato. The cookies are good, especially the raspberry ones. The gelato is really refreshing. I recommend mixing mango and raspberry if you like something tart, or trying the tiramisu flavor if you want something sweeter. It's a cafeteria-style deli, so you order at the counter, pay, and then find a table. They also have outdoor seating.

I had the absolute pleasure of getting to try their butternut squash ravioli in a delicious pink sauce, and their monte carlo pizza which I cannot possibly over praise for how fantastic how perfectly crispy the crust was. Tons of pizzas get it wrong, where you'll get a "gummy" layer between the top and bottom of your standard pizza, but this one? This one was PERFECT in the crisp factor and the toppings, were fantastic. To top it all off, we got some gelato which exactly the kinds of thing that helps shake off a heatwave. The people serving us were super friendly and it genuinely makes me wish I had known about this place sooner. The GARLIC BREAD was so fantastically tasty that I could have made it a dish all by itself. The spot really makes you feel like you're at home, and I'm just grateful I happened to be hungry in the general area. Cheers!

I could have sworn that they used to have more limited hours, but either way, it's a solid European market. Aside from being a market, I think they also do shipping services to Europe too if you have friends or family there. Sizeable market with lots of snacks, sweets, dried goods, some ice cream, frozen food, drinks, alcohol, cooking and baking goods, and much more. You can easily spend a good amount of time perusing the wide variety of food that they have here. Great place to get tinned fish, chocolates, or crackers and cookies or candies if you're trying to find a quick gift. My boyfriend got some alcohol and some canned goods here. I got some caramel vanilla ice cream. Reminded me of the drumstick ice cream, but creamier and less "heavy" tasting if that makes sense. A juxtaposition, I'm sure. Shop had customers come in and out the entire time, but it was never super busy. Worker was on the phone I think with other customers, but was friendly either way. Ambiance was casual, a bit aged, not super fancy, but does the job.

We just came for sandwiches but if I lived closer, I could see myself doing considerable damage to my wallet if I shopped in their market. We tried three sandwiches: the Italian combo, the "spicy" Italian combo, and a turkey, cheese, and avocado creation. Crazily enough, the turkey turned out to be my favorite. I thought it tasted the absolute freshest and delicious of all three. The Italian combos were good but I simply didn't find them all that unique. One thing I found weird was how they put an extra piece of bread in the middle of their sandwiches. It is just not necessary and it is just too much bread. The sandwiches are plenty big without the extra bread. We also tried the caprese salad and this I highly, highly recommend. It is fantastic. You really do not need the balsamic dressing which comes separately but I still loved dipping each bite into it. The menu behind the counter is a little confusing and could be more specific so take a moment to review it before you take a ticket (and yes, you need a ticket) and order. Our server was very friendly, as was the staff working the market. I would definitely return. Lots to try here. Plenty of free parking behind the shop.

Saw the Serrano Ham. Looked good. And no, no four slices, minimum order is a quarter pound. Fine. Now the pound of Pancetta is $12.99, the Serrano is $14.99. That would, in my world, be $3.25 and $4.99 - and amount in the area of $7.50, give and take a few cents. The charge was $10,94. Plus a surcharge for God knows what of $0.33. Then they suggest a tip. For an over the counter service? Pancetta and Serrano were delicious, but as a matter of principle, I will not go again.
