The new bed frame & mattress minus a twelve year-old bunk bed.

This business is top-notch. On Thursday, 9/26, the guys were scheduled to come out & perform several jobs @ my home. We live in the Shelbyville area and on this night Luke Bryan was in concert @ Mulberry Orchard & the remnants of Hurricane Helene started to enter our community. Needless to say, traffic was a nightmare. But V&J's showed up ready to work. They disassembled my son's bunk-bed and assembled a new bed frame. Mind you, the bunk-bed was twelve years old. V&J's completed the job competently, effectively and showed professionalism. But you know why I'm really satisfied...they completed the job without damaging any walls or floors making my next project easy to get started. I will be recommending this business to colleagues and family. Mrs. T.L. Ellis

I would love to give a 0-star review if possible…read more I contracted YayVisions to install an in-ground basketball goal, including excavation, concrete work, and assembly. The manufacturer specified that the installation required a 20" x 20" x 48" deep footing using 22 bags of concrete. I reviewed these requirements with the contractor beforehand, and they assured me the installation would meet the manufacturer's specifications. When work began, they had only dug approximately a 2-foot-deep hole before I needed to leave. Prior to leaving, I specifically reconfirmed that they would continue to the full 4-foot depth, and they confirmed they would. About five minutes after leaving, I checked my security camera and saw they had already begun pouring dry concrete into the hole. I immediately contacted them, and they claimed they had already dug the hole to 4-5 feet deep. Given the timeline, that explanation was clearly questionable. They then sprayed water into the hole, set the anchor plate, and left shortly afterward. When I returned home and inspected the work, it was apparent the installation had not been completed according to the manufacturer's specifications (the footing wasn't even square and the anchor plate wasn't anywhere close to centered). Before escalating the issue, I independently evaluated the work by calculating the approximate footing volume based on both the amount of concrete used and the volume of excavated dirt. Both calculations indicated the hole was likely only around 2 feet deep. I contacted the goal manufacturer, Mega Slam, and they advised me to first give YayVisions the opportunity to correct the issue. Unfortunately, instead of addressing the concerns, the company repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. They stated they used only 8 bags of concrete and claimed that amount was sufficient, despite the manufacturer explicitly requiring 22 bags due to the size and weight of the basketball goal. The manufacturer confirmed the installation was inadequate and could create a serious safety hazard, including the possibility of the goal failing or tipping over. Ultimately, I hired another contractor to remove the original concrete and reinstall the footing correctly. This process also confirmed the original installation was significantly undersized. The actual hole measured approximately 13" x 17" x 25" deep and tapered to a point at the bottom -- far from the required 20" x 20" x 48" square footing specified by the manufacturer. I've attached photos so others can evaluate the workmanship for themselves. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. The work did not meet manufacturer specifications, required complete replacement, would have resulted in a serious safety risk if not corrected, and raised serious concerns about both workmanship and honesty throughout the process.

I checked after they left and the coupons were gone. Hired them again in 2022 to move into a one bedroom apartment in St Matthew's. When they got there they did not give enough time to direct them where I wanted things, they broke one of my lamps, and I lost a box with pictures and 3 small mini cameras. My last move, I used a moving organizer She used these guys. When we got to the new apartment, again I went into my bedroom and checked my two Chester drawers. Again, the drawers had clothes stuffed into drawers they did not belong in, a pair of jeans that should have been with the clothes in the walk in closet, and they spilled a large bowl of change I had in my Chester drawers. Don't use these guys. Untrustworthy and the owners / office are no help.

It started out pretty good in that Corey, one of the owners, contacted me right away and wanted to…read morecome over to see exactly what needed to be moved to Indianapolis. I did have a bill of lading from one of the big boy moving companies so he would have an idea of the size of the load. I was able to give him the weight of the load as well as the cubic feet of the load that the national moving company had in their truck. I did explain since i had been in Louisville I had purchased new washer and dryer, a new couch, a new chair and a new table and chairs for the kitchen. He walked the house and saw what I had which most of it was still boxed from my previous move in October of 2022. He stated that a 26-foot box truck would easily accommodate my household belongings. At first he quoted me an hourly rate of $50/hr for his people to pack and load then unload. Then he quoted me a hard number of $4,300 to pack, load a 26 foot truck, drive it to Indianapolis, unload and assemble items like beds, tables and such. I received another quote from a local mover which was a little lower but since Corey seemed more professional and seemed to know what he was doing I chose Alpha Moving. The three guys showed up pretty much when scheduled, one was a little late but we all got into packing the boxes I had saved from my previous move. I was working and packing as much as they were. I bought the three of them lunch and we got back at it. Afterwards I gave them all a $20 for their efforts. On the moving day they were supposed to return between 9 and 10 AM. Robert, one of the other owners, called me at about 9:20 to say that U-Haul did not give him any blankets and that he would need to return to the U-Haul store to get some. (My thought was, wouldn't you notice that before you leave the store and not while you are driving to my house? How does that happen? Did he stop for breakfast and look in the truck? Why didn't he notice when he was there?) Robert finally arrived after 10 AM and the guys started loading. As they got closer to the back of the truck there seemed to be more close conversations between them. They came to me and asked if I can take some items with me in my SUV which I reminded them that I had two large dogs that have been wandering around the house that I will be taking with me. Then they decided that they would place some items, as much as they could, into one of the employees cars. They finally came back to me and said that everything would not fit into the truck and they would either need to rent a trailer or they could have another employee drive his personal pick up (Ford Ranger) and fit as much as they could in that for another $300.00. I told them that I was ensured by Corey that everything would fit into a 26-foot box truck with ease. I told them that I work in an industry that when you give a price you live by it. Well Corey and Robert did not and were charging me the added $300 to get my belongings to my new house. Before we left they were sliding a glass tabletop to a desk into the truck and it shattered into over a million pieces. There was glass everywhere! It took them forever to sweep it out of the truck and on to the driveway and then pick it up off of the driveway using my broom and dustpan. We finally got all loaded and ready for our trek north at around 2 PM. I knew this had the makings of a very long day already. They offloaded the furniture first so I was able to direct where each piece was to go without issue. When they began offloading the boxes that was a different story. They had some boxes that were not labeled so they inevitably ended up in the wrong room. When they finally got everything unloaded we were all standing near the front door and I thanked them for their efforts. I gave them each a $20 again and told them I wish I could give them more but that I was still upset about being charged an extra $300 for Corey underestimating the size of the truck/equipment need to move my belongings and I was going to give each one of them a $50 bill but that they would need to see Corey for it. At that time Robert told me that it all most likely would have fit in this truck but he noticed early on that when they had started packing the front of the truck there were "pockets" and open spaces and the truck should have been packed better and "tighter" than it was. At this point one of the more seasoned employees turned around and walked out the door. I believe he was upset that Robert had just thrown him under the bus in front of a client. So we ended up settling on $300 for the cost of the glass tabletop but they charge an extra 3 or 4% if you use a credit card so they charged me $150 so my total bill was $4450.00 all in. As I have been unpacking I have noticed that one particular box is missing from my many boxes. I have texted Corey to see if either of the two Alpha employees have found the box in their vehicles but he has not responded at all in well over 72 hours which is very bad business.
