She had arrived early (big plus), and so did I, so I was able to start 10 minutes ahead of schedule so that she'd have a little more time to work on me (bigger plus). She has an extensive collection of makeup that filled the entire table. The process went very flawlessly. She was amazing at creating a smokey eye to match our dark purple bridesmaid dresses. At the end of the session, she attached the fake eyelashes to finish the look. She finished on time for the next candidate! After our off-site outdoor photo session, she was also able to touch us up before prepping to walk down the aisle! When I got approached by my friends at cocktail hour, both the females and males all showered me with compliments on a fabulous makeup job by Kim. I couldn't be more proud of making the decision to go with Kim and get my makeup professionally done! I remember telling Tymia that I was going on a girls' trip and planned to get my usual brow wax. She immediately encouraged me to step it up a little. After all, I was going on a girls' trip! She suggested that I get my lashes done and try brow mapping and tinting for a more polished, glamorous look. I trusted her judgment, and I'm so glad I did! The difference was amazing. My brows went from simply looking nicely waxed to looking fabulous. Between my brows and lashes, my entire look was elevated, and I absolutely loved how I looked in my pictures. I often tease Tymia and tell her she did that "Mia Magic," but that really is the best way to describe it! Tymia also does an amazing job with individual lashes. I had always been a little apprehensive about lash extensions, but she completely took that apprehension away. They are so comfortable that I literally forget I have lashes on. What I really appreciate is that she listens to what you want and customizes your lashes to fit your personal style. I'm pretty conservative and prefer a very natural look, but I still want my eyes to look brighter and more polished. She had done my sister's makeup first and then redid it completely over when my sister got really emotional (happy tears!) and cried away all her makeup. I was so happy with my makeup. The pros: Very nice, pleasant staff, especially Jane (also…read morenamed Juan?). I did a digital perm and my hair is VERY stubborn. I had warned them about this beforehand, but no one ever seems to really take me seriously LOL. In order to not damage my hair Jane took an entire 5 hrs! working on it, and was very patient the entire time. This was both a pro and a con - pro in that my hair did not come out fried, as it often can, but con in that 5 hrs is a really long time to be spending sitting in a hair salon! They made sure I had water and a bathroom break, which was very considerate. Jane seemed very knowledgeable and specifically did different treatments for the parts of my hair that hadn't been permed before vs those that had. The top layer took very well. The cons: Again, 5 hrs... I very much appreciate them not wanting to fry my hair, but maybe a little speeding up could have been done? Also, while the top layer permed well, the bottom didn't really take - see photos. Also, just FYI, but there is no validated parking. It wasn't terrible to pay the garage, but just something to be aware of. Overall I really appreciated all the time and patience they took, to specially alter treatments for different parts of my hair, and try to not damage it. If there is some kind of middle ground to be able to do the perm and have it take completely in all the hair, and with less time, that would be ideal.
