I can't say enough good things about Addi! I found her online and was blown away by her portfolio and great reviews, and immediately knew I wanted her to do my makeup for my engagement pictures. Some highlights: 1) I emailed her on Tuesday and my pics were on Sunday. Not only did she give me an appointment on such short notice, she is also 39 weeks pregnant! I couldn't believe she was willing to do my makeup the weekend before her baby is due. She is so passionate about her job and truly cares about her clients, even if she's never met you before. 2) I never wear makeup so I was pretty nervous about how it would turn out. Addi took time to listen to what I was looking for and we talked about some of my previous (bad) experiences with makeup so that she also knew what I didn't want. Throughout the session, she continuously asked me how I felt and always made sure I was comfortable with the way it looked. Addi is the perfect makeup artist for women who don't usually get their makeup done or are a bit nervous about wearing full makeup. 3) Her studio is adorable, really clean and organized, and all her products are top of the line. 4) She is so sweet and really easy to talk to. My makeup, including eye lashes, took a little over an hour but the time flew by because we were chatting away. She even offered to run into her house and get me an umbrella since it was pouring out. Addi is truly an incredible makeup artist, and I left feeling comfortable in my own skin. People kept telling me how great of a job Addi did enhancing my natural beauty, which is exactly what I was looking for. I got a sneak peak of my engagement pictures and my makeup looks amazing. I was recommended Addi by a hair stylist for my wedding. I did a phone consult with her. She was incredibly rude and dismissive, -- particularly of my need for her to work with particular products that would not flare my skin sensitivities -- that is, until she saw a photo of me and realized I was pretty. When it seemed like there could be a way forward, I asked to see a copy of her contract, and she got upset with me for asking. She then told me she would refuse to work with anything "subpar" (her word) and would not work with me. Lowest moment of planning my wedding.
