Had a make up session for a photoshoot with kim in the beginning of May and truly enjoyed it. Kim was super friendly and fun to talk to. It was such a chill vibe throughout my appointment. She did a great job to beautify my aging face and her pricing was reasonable, this is after comparing a good number of makeup artists in the DMV area. She also did big curls on my hair, it was so simple but gorgeous, even my photographer complimented on it. The only thing i was slight not happy with is that towards the end of the photoshoot, the corner of one of my fake eyelashes started to coming off. But since it didn't affect the photoshoot so I am ok with it. Kim was hired to be the makeup artist for a wedding I was in a couple weeks ago. Weeks prior to the big day, she sent out a time schedule for the morning of the wedding. She had arrived early (big plus), and so did I, so I was able to start 10 minutes ahead of schedule so that she'd have a little more time to work on me (bigger plus). She has an extensive collection of makeup that filled the entire table. The process went very flawlessly. She was amazing at creating a smokey eye to match our dark purple bridesmaid dresses. At the end of the session, she attached the fake eyelashes to finish the look. She finished on time for the next candidate! After our off-site outdoor photo session, she was also able to touch us up before prepping to walk down the aisle! When I got approached by my friends at cocktail hour, both the females and males all showered me with compliments on a fabulous makeup job by Kim. I found Kim through Yelp. Kim was very helpful and very responsive throughout the whole process - from my initial contact to my wedding day. In addition, she was very flexible regarding booking her without the trial. She didn't ask me to pay all of the 50% deposit until I had my trial. She was also accommodating with the last minute changes I had with my trial date. Before I had booked Kim, she notified me that someone else wanted to book her on the same day as my wedding, but that she would not book them until she heard back from me. I truly appreciated the fact that she came to me before accepting another client. She truly showed respect and value to me as her client, which I loved! When I did my trial, I asked if I could bring my some of my bridal party with me and she graciously agreed. She truly captured the makeup style I was looking for - which was simple, yet elegant. During the trial she made us feel comfortable and provided us wedding pointers and advice. It was also my first experience with false eyelashes, and she calmly explained to me what she was doing and how to remove the false eyelashes afterwards. Prior my wedding day, she emailed me a schedule of the girls and even sent out "do's" and "don'ts" in preparation of the big day. I can't find the right words to start off this review because I am just amazed at the service provided by Kim as a make-up artist! Kim did my make up for an engagement photoshoot this Fall. She actually helped me out and did some casual curls for me as well. We had to reschedule multiple times due to the weather, but Kim graciously worked it out with me and even helped keep an eye on the weather so that we could figure out when to make our engagement shoot happen!
