Had a make up session for a photoshoot with kim in the beginning of May and truly enjoyed it. Kim was super friendly and fun to talk to. It was such a chill vibe throughout my appointment. She did a great job to beautify my aging face and her pricing was reasonable, this is after comparing a good number of makeup artists in the DMV area. She also did big curls on my hair, it was so simple but gorgeous, even my photographer complimented on it. The only thing i was slight not happy with is that towards the end of the photoshoot, the corner of one of my fake eyelashes started to coming off. But since it didn't affect the photoshoot so I am ok with it. Maybe next time, a bit more glue for the corner area My overall experience with Kim was a 5 star & highly recommended by @WineDinenVacay read more

Kim was hired to be the makeup artist for a wedding I was in a couple weeks ago. Weeks prior to the big day, she sent out a time schedule for the morning of the wedding. She had arrived early (big plus), and so did I, so I was able to start 10 minutes ahead of schedule so that she'd have a little more time to work on me (bigger plus). She has an extensive collection of makeup that filled the entire table. The process went very flawlessly. She was amazing at creating a smokey eye to match our dark purple bridesmaid dresses. At the end of the session, she attached the fake eyelashes to finish the look. She finished on time for the next candidate! After our off-site outdoor photo session, she was also able to touch us up before prepping to walk down the aisle! When I got approached by my friends at cocktail hour, both the females and males all showered me with compliments on a fabulous makeup job by Kim. I couldn't be more proud of making the decision to go with Kim and get my makeup professionally done! Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the job, and would recommend her to anyone wanting to look and feel gorgeous in their photos and through out the evening! read more

Aside from helping me with makeup and touchups, she even took care of me during my touchup and helped fixed my hair for the evening reception. She has a good eye for detail and beauty. On top of that, her honest character will tell you if something does not look right so needless to day she strives for perfection in her work and will not leave you dissatisfied. Her work is of true quality and you will get your moneys worth. Highly recommended! read more

Kim was helpful and professional. After my trial, I found some products I wanted to add for my big day and she was absolutely wonderful about it. She's super flexible and really knows how to work with different skins and features. Thanks, Kim! My pictures came back and I love how I looked on my big day! read more

I found Kim through Yelp. Kim was very helpful and very responsive throughout the whole process - from my initial contact to my wedding day. In addition, she was very flexible regarding booking her without the trial. She didn't ask me to pay all of the 50% deposit until I had my trial. She was also accommodating with the last minute changes I had with my trial date. Before I had booked Kim, she notified me that someone else wanted to book her on the same day as my wedding, but that she would not book them until she heard back from me. I truly appreciated the fact that she came to me before accepting another client. She truly showed respect and value to me as her client, which I loved! When I did my trial, I asked if I could bring my some of my bridal party with me and she graciously agreed. She truly captured the makeup style I was looking for - which was simple, yet elegant. During the trial she made us feel comfortable and provided us wedding pointers and advice. It was also my first experience with false eyelashes, and she calmly explained to me what she was doing and how to remove the false eyelashes afterwards. Prior my wedding day, she emailed me a schedule of the girls and even sent out "do's" and "don'ts" in preparation of the big day. She was also accommodating with some of my girls having dry skin and last minute schedule changes. Kim and her assistant came on time for my wedding day, got everyone done on time! She didn't rush and she was very professional with each girl. My bridesmaids and I were very happy with our makeup. We had airbrush and regular makeup done, which lasted over 12 hours through all sweaty moments outside taking pictures or inside dancing! Overall, Kim is an excellent makeup artist. She truly captures the look a bride is looking for and her personality was great. She was very sweet, patient, and flexible. I highly recommend her to anyone. read more

Kim took care of several of my bridesmaids, as well as my mom on my big day, and each and every one of them LOVED her work. My mom rarely wears makeup, but she couldn't stop raving about how much she loved her look. She took the time to listen and truly understand what each of her clients are looking for, and she makes it look effortless. I've seen other makeup artists spend at least 50-60 minutes with bridesmaids, and Kim never kept any of the girls in her chair beyond 40. It's amazing what she can do in a shorter period of time, without ever making anyone feel rushed. Everyone's makeup stayed well in-tact through 12 hours of wind, massive amounts of photos, and lots of dancing and wear. In a nutshell, Kim is professional, skilled at her craft, super warm and sweet, and made the entire process incredibly easy. I would work with her again in a heartbeat, and would highly recommend her to everyone, especially those who are looking for someone to take care of a bridal party! read more

Kim was wonderful to work with. Not only was she meticulous when applying her makeup, she was very reliable and professional throughout my whole experience with her. She made sure everything was taken care of which helped lower my stress level and even helped us with my veil when time was ticking! My sisters both also loved how beautiful her work was and asked me to share with them her contacts, and they are very picky. I could not have been happier and would use her in a heartbeat if I ever need her services again! Thank you Kim for making me extra beautiful on my big day! read more

Kim was the makeup artist for my wedding and she did a great job. She's responsive, diligent, timely and honest, which makes her great to work with for such an important but chaotic day. She has an amazing collection of MAC products that will be able to cater to any bridal party (skintones, looks, you name it). My bridesmaids and I received compliments throughout the day. No regrets in going with Kim and i'd recommend her without reservation! read more

Kim is such an honest, accommodating, and awesome professional to work with. My sister and I had the honor of having her as our make-up artist for her wedding a few weeks ago and we couldn't be happier. I couldn't have asked for a more calming, wonderful experience, especially during such a hectic time. Kim is easy to talk to, honest with her opinions, and has great instincts. I would definitely recommend her for any occasion. She is well stocked with make-up, vast selection for any skin color, and you'll feel so pampered. The bang is worth the buck! Definitely worth your time. read more

Kim is great! She was so helpful and very responsive throughout the whole process - from my initial contact to my wedding day. Her makeup trial is done at her house, which I was so late for but she was very patient. She made me feel comfortable and even gave me some wedding pointers and advice based on her own experience. Not too shortly before my wedding day, she sent me a laid out schedule and even sent me some do's and don'ts in preparation of the big day. She came on time for my wedding day, got everyone done on time, and even had time for a few more people! I really liked the lipstick she used on me and so she gave it to me! Me and my bridesmaid were very happy with our makeup - it stayed put for over 12 hours! Kim is so sweet, patient, and flexible. I can honestly say that she was one of the easiest vendors I dealt with for my wedding. read more

Kim is an amazing make-up artist! She definitely knows what she's doing. She listens to what you want, is super friendly & fun & makes you feel as beautiful as you are. I was recently in a girlfriend's wedding & she was the make-up artist. I was hesitant at first because 1) I don't wear make-up & 2) I've had bad experiences with other artists trying to do waaay too much. I relayed to her that I wanted a natural look & that's exactly what I got. She's so good that she even convinced me to get fake lashes! That has NEVER happened. I would highly recommend Kim for any event that requires beautifying. read more

I was in need of a makeup artist for a special event that I was going to. I was so happy to be able to find Kim!! She was very professional and courteous to my needs. Kim was hired as the makeup artist at a makeup party that I recently attended. She was amazing and very knowledgeable! She was able to create looks that we wanted and provide comments on which look that would look best on each of us. She taught us how to apply the correct amount of foundation/concealer, draw our brows, apply our eye shadow/liner, and how to highlight and contour our faces! Kim also has a great personality which made it easy for all of us to enjoy the lesson. I highly recommend Kim! I will definitely hire Kim as my artist for my next event! read more

I can't find the right words to start off this review because I am just amazed at the service provided by Kim as a make-up artist! Kim did my make up for an engagement photoshoot this Fall. She actually helped me out and did some casual curls for me as well. We had to reschedule multiple times due to the weather, but Kim graciously worked it out with me and even helped keep an eye on the weather so that we could figure out when to make our engagement shoot happen! She was super sweet and understanding, let alone incredibly flexible in rearranging our appointment. Kim arranged to come early so that she would have time to do the make up (and the hair) so that she wouldn't have to rush. I really appreciate that diligence and admire her commitment in a business perspective. Furthermore, I was so impressed by her make up collection and all of her professional setup-- she even came with a stool and was really excited to share that she will also be adding a special, portable lighting for her make up sessions soon! All of this is a sure testament to how much she enjoys her job and how serious she is about making me (and everyone) look beautiful for their special day! Needless to say, Kim did an incredible job on my make up-- I absolutely loved the colors she used and how it really matched exactly what I wanted. She had actually asked what my outfit would be and what type of make up I wanted ahead of time as well. read more

I was the MOH for a wedding and Kim was hired to do make-up for all of us. I have Asian monolid eyes and it's usually very tough to get my eyes right but Kim did them perfectly! Not too much but just enough! A couple weeks before the wedding, she sent out schedules for the bride and bridemaids, which was a plus b/c our bride didn't have to worry about it! She was flexible with her schedule as well! She arrived early and was ready to work...we started at 5:00AM! Her brushes were clean and her set-up was organized. She went through step-by-step what she was doing to make sure you were comfortable. She listened to our request for colors and worked with us on what colors worked well with the dresses and our skin tone. She was honest, friendly, straight-forward, and most importantly a true professional. read more

I was referred to Kim from a mutual friend. I had gone somewhere else for hair and make up prior to meeting Kim and was quite disappointed with their work. When I first got my make up trial, I was seriously blown away at how amazing of a job she did! I had my engagement photos that same day and the photos were absolutely stunning thanks to Kim! Kim is SO talented and made my whole bridal party looked flawless!! Kim was very responsive with any questions and she made me feel very comfortable when she did my make up. Kim did an AMAZING job doing my hair and makeup for my engagement pictures. I got so many compliments on how beautiful my makeup was. I was nervous about getting makeup done due to my fair skin but she used colors that complimented my skin perfectly. She has quite an extensive makeup collection, and her sweet personality made the experience even better! I loved her work so much I had her do my makeup again for my bridal shower, and I would have hired her for my wedding if we weren't doing a destination wedding! read more

Kim was my makeup artist for my wedding at the end of April, and I was SO incredibly happy with her! She is very skilled, organized, professional, personable, down-to-earth, and super sweet! She is also very detail-oriented, which I very much appreciated, and the finished product was flawless! Makeup was my main concern from the beginning because I don't normally wear too much makeup, I have mono-lid Asian eyes (which no one ever knows how to work with!), and I had other makeup trials before I found Kim, and I just was NOT happy with them. When I finally found Kim, I was ecstatic! She was responsive to all of my inquiries and emails, and was very clear and up-front about the pricing, availability, and expectations. My trial with her was held in her home, and she listened to my concerns, offered her suggestions and expert advice, and was patient over the following weeks while I finalized the list of girls who would be getting their makeup done by her. Well before the wedding day, she sent a detailed schedule for all of the girls. On my wedding day, she arrived on time with her assistant Nina (also a sweetheart!), was so efficient and organized in setting up her work station and makeup products (my bridesmaids were impressed with her organization!), and she truly made me feel confident and calm on my wedding day, which was so important to me. And my bridesmaids were so happy with her too! I would recommend her over and over again! read more

Kim did my makeup and my daughter's for my 25th wedding anniversary renewal of vows. I had never had my makeup done before. She responded quickly to my initial inquiry, emailed me the schedule ahead of time, showed up on time and set up everything. She was responsive to my suggestions and yet took the liberty of doing my makeup in ways I had not done before, like emphasizing my brows and using black eyeliner instead of my usual dark-brown. It was amazing when I looked in the mirror! Everyone complimented me on how natural-looking the makeup was and how pretty I looked all day! Above all, having Kim do my makeup at my house put me at ease before what was a hectic day. Having my makeup professionally done gave me confidence and made me feel beautiful--especially for all the photos we took that day. Kim also gave me information on the products she used, which I have since purchased. I have also applied her techniques on my own. Would highly recommend Kim! read more
