The consutlations secretariat informed the ambulance staff I should be take to x-rays first. After the ambulance staff left and x-rays were taken, I asked the x-ray technician for help to get to the consultations building. She refused to help me saying I should walk to the reception. Refused even after I told her I do not feel safe to walk. Obviously, I fell in the corridor. Was put in a wheelchair and pushed in a waiting room where I was left unattended. I heard the lab technician who had refused to help me say she had told me to wait for someone and I left on my own. I said it was not true. After I was again left alone for a while and called desperately the consultations sercice, the same female lab technician came back and whispered into my ear that I do not only have a leg issue, I also have a problem with my head. She refused repeatedly to give me her name (no name tags on staff). I called the hospital mediator today and he said I should not have gone alone for a checkup and should have brought my own wheelchair if I cannot walk. I said it is the first time I am in such a mobility impared situation and did not know. That perhaps they should have warned me I need my own means of mobility in the hospital. He said supermarkets don't warn customers either that they do not provide wheelchairs. I hang up and here I am, writing this review. I shall try to write a formal letter of complaint to the hospital. Would just like an assurance that they review this incident and take measures so that this never happens to anyone else. And an apology perhaps.

I survived surgery here so it's definitely not a one star review:)…read moreI had gastric surgery here. And stayed just the one night. I paid for it out of pocket which is no problem what so ever as the cost was a fraction of the cost in the USA. Two hassles were the check in. You take a number & wait. Lots of people are checking in at the same time so there is a fair amount of waiting. Second is that I'm a fat git. Thus it was somewhat embarrassing trying to fit their gown on. They had to search long & hard to get a gown that fitted. The care was great, apart from the endless Melba toast that I was force fed to prevent nausea. Whilst the kid in the next bed was given ice cream. I'm all sorted now... so yeah three stars!

The new hospital at Delta looks well, shiny new facilities etc, and the consultants are good but…read morethe administration people are horrible. This is the second appointment in a row that I've ended up crying at. Last time I arrived for a test booked weeks in advance I was told "oh but that's been cancelled". I said I wasn't told and they said oh but we called you, it must have been the wrong number. They checked the number I'd given and it was correct. I had one missed call earlier that week from what was likely them, but no message - seems they determined it was the wrong number, sighed, and did nothing until I arrived. Didn't care about the fact that I had a second appointment scheduled to be after that one, with those results. This time I was told at the first counter to ask at the blood test centre what number office for my next appointment. Needless to say, the centre didn't know. I went back to another counter to ask the door number and was kept waiting 10 mins while the administration deliberately went slow and refused to help though I noted I had been misled by two other counters and the doctor was now waiting for me and even the lady in front of me in the queue told the receptionist to deal with me. It was deliberate, petty, and caused me to cry and lose a lot of time (still waiting to see if the consultant will see me late or has gone on lunch). If I want that kind of non-service, I pay cheap prices. Cavell is premium prices.
