I thought I'd worked hard and put out the best novel I could... boy was I wrong. With no experience in publishing whatsoever, I set out to get editing services and after getting a sample edit from Ashley, I was sold. Here was someone who'd invested some time to challenge the text I'd sent and offer constructive advice along the way. During the whole three month process, Ashley was very helpful. Either by being available for discussions on her comments/edits, or by supplying references on books to help me improve as a writer. For me this was an invaluable part as I'm not a native english speaker. As for the contents, I didn't always agree with her comments (it would have been fishy if I had anyway), but most of that was me having to come to terms with being told I'd made mistakes. I am a novice writer and still have issues with plot holes along with an heavy influence by those authors which I like. That resulted in wordiness to an unhealthy degree and Ashley helped me a lot on that. Her viewpoint as a woman also helped me get a better feeling of feminine point of views of certain characters in my story. I'm putting four stars because I would feel a cheat by putting five. Saying something is perfect when I haven't experienced other services wouldn't have much credibility. My hiring of Utopia Editing & Ghostwriting was my first and only experience and while I'm completely satisfied, I don't have a clue on what else is out there.
