I highly recommend Utah Trikes. I was in yesterday for about an hour and Harold was patient, friendly and thorough. I tried out about 10 trikes which he adjusted to fit my height and blew up the tires when they needed it. He was the opposite of a pushy sales person. I am fat and tall and he helped customize which bikes I might like based on that. read more

I ordered a quad from these lame clowns and when it arrived the rear rack,which they build in house, was severely crooked as if Ray Charles posthumously gave directions to Stevie Wonder on how not to use a jig to make sure your welds were correct. The head rest was ordered to accommodate my height and the standard short version showed up on delivery. The wrong tires were installed, had to buy new and swap them out myself. The access control for the Bafang motor was installed, again as if done by Ray & Stevie, so it isn't even visible while riding making it extremely difficult to operate. I called to order a couple of battery connectors that I needed for the extra battery that came with out them and was told by a, (I'm to lazy to get up and ask a tech what connectors they use for the battery sleds), clown named Harold, that I would need to send them pictures of the connectors so they could figure out which ones to send me,,,,, Duh. After I hung up in disgust AGAIN I looked the connectors up on Amazon and found them in two minutes. This is what you do for a living isn't it Harold? If you get this guy on the phone I suggest you just bypass him and ask to speak with someone COMPETENT and that cares about customer service,,,,, although that may be asking for a miracle at this clown shop! UPDATE: received an email from Dillon today and was told that because of this review our frame order has been cancelled. WOW...retaliating to a paying customer instead of trying to make it right is shocking!! Horrible company to work with...we have spent thousands of dollars with them...when we have issues we wait forever to get a return call. Dillon, sales manager could care less if they take care of your needs. We needed a replacement frame and was told we had to return our current frame on our dime before they would ship anything to us. After questioning this we were told that is catrike's policy, take it or leave it. I can honestly say that we will be going through another company when we buy our next trike. I would prefer to work with a company that actually wants our business. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. On May 14, 2020, I ordered a KMX Kolt recumbent tricycle and several additional accessories from Utah Trikes. I received the order about two weeks later in early June. Due to the pandemic, I was unable to bring the trike to my mechanic for assembly until September 1. On September 3, I received a call from my mechanic informing me that the trike kit was missing several components: the core hardware, and the left spindle. On September 4, I called Utah Trikes and spoke with Dillon (Dylan?) and explained the situation. He assured me that he'd find the missing components and call me back. On September 10, having not hear from Dillon, I called back and spoke with Harold. I explained the situation to him, and asked if it were likely that when the kit was opened and the additional accessories were packed, that the hardware and spindle were left out of the package. He said that that was probably what happened, and that he'd look for the components. On September 11, I received an email from Harold saying that the parts had been located, and that they'd ship out as soon as possible. They shipped on September 15, and I received them on September 24. On September 25, I brought them to my mechanic. On September 30, I received a call from my mechanic telling me that the derailleur hanger was missing, and that it was a proprietary part and that he couldn't substitute another part for it. On October 1, I called Utah Trikes again. I spoke with Dillon again, and instead of dealing with him, I asked to speak with a manager. After a couple of minutes, Kate got on the phone. I told her the situation, as well as expressing my dissatisfaction with Dillon's handling of my problem. She said, "Oh, yeah, we're aware that Dillon isn't great of follow through. We've spoken with him about that." My head nearly exploded. I said, "Well, apparently, that didn't work." Kate became defensive, and said, "Well, those parts were probably left out by the manufacturer." When I suggested that they were left out on their end when they packed the accessories, she said, "No. That's not possible. They were left out by the manufacturer." When I told her that Harold agreed with me, and that he was able to find the missing components within a matter of minutes, she became even more defensive, and said, "Well, it took you six months to bring the kit to your mechanic. You should have had us assemble it." I explained to her that it had taken me only two months to bring it in, and that that was due to the pandemic and out of my control. She started counting "May, June, July, August, September, October. Six months." I became more frustrated with her, and said, "No, June, July, August. Three months. The rest of the time has been wasted trying to get the parts from you! In addition to the derailleur hanger, I'd like some sort of monetary compensation for my inconvenience. Due to your company's poor quality control, I've lost two months of riding time." She asked what sort of compensation I wanted, and then suggested that Utah Trikes would pay for the assembly fee. When I told her honestly what the fee was, she said, "OK. Is that all you want?" I replied, "No, I'd like an additional $100 for my wasted time and phone calls, and Dillon's negligence." Kate said that she'd have to check with the owner, and that she'd get back to me. Two hours later, she called back and said, "Sorry, the assembly fee is all we can refund you." I expressed my dissatisfaction, and requested that I speak with the owner. "He's not here," she said, "And besides, he'll tell you the same thing." I asked her to at least overnight the part to me, to which she replied, "You know, that's going to come out of OUR pocket, right?" I said, "I really don't care. Just overnight the part to me." She then said, "You know, you're not a very pleasant person to deal with." I said, "And yours is a very poorly run company. You get no sympathy from me." I received the part the next day, brought it to my mechanic, and will, fingers crossed, pick up my trike tomorrow. Any company that treats customers as poorly doesn't deserve my business. And any company that KNOWS one of their employees is incompetent and a liar, and keeps that employee on staff...well, what kind of business is that? Caveat emptor! read more

Update: Asked to speak to manager or owner, Dillon said "its not possible", called from our phone no answer, called from different phone and Dillon picked up. Intentionally ghosting paying customer. Horrible company to work with; see Laura H.from 4/7/2020. Stay away from this shop. read more

As a terminally ill person with ALS, I'm no longer able to walk or spend time at the beach here in CA. I'm becoming more paralyzed every day, so time was of the essence. I knew I'd have to customize the trike for my disability and would be spending a hefty amount. (More than $5,000). I went looking for trike options online and stumbled across Utah Trikes. I watched their informative videos on YouTube and was impressed with their knowledge, trikes, their inventory, accessories and customization options. They offer quality products for sure and likely have good intentions. They left a very good impression. Boy was I naive. When ordering the trike in August, I informed the company of my condition and how important a quick delivery would be if I were spending so much and would have limited time to enjoy it. They assured me that their turn around times had improved and was told they would likely get it to me in three weeks. After numerous follow up calls, It took over three months to get the trike!!! The trike arrived well packaged and in good condition. However, they had forgotten to include the head rest. I can't ride it because I need the neck support!!!! Guess what? It's now December, more than four months after I ordered it and I still don't have the headrest. I can't ride it. We opened the box, took out the trike and tested it out. It couldn't be ridden. It was shimmying and wobbling so bad. Clearly they hadn't tested it or aligned it properly. There was a faulty spindle that needed to be replaced. I had to have the trike worked on by a local shop to even make it road worthy. That cost me an additional $230. In addition, the invoice was a mess and I got ripped off, but I just don't have the energy anymore to keep pointing out their mistakes. A respectable company would be apologizing profusely for such poor service to a customer like me after spending over $5,000. They should be giving me a discount or writing an apology. Nothing of the sort. Think Long and hard before putting your trust in good service and communication from these people. Shop around. There are cheaper options out there. Buy a trike somewhere else and have a local shop customize it for you before going through what I've gone through. Shame on Utah Trikes for failing a very vulnerable customer. read more

I was having problems understnding the assembly of my new Fat Tad and Utah Trikes had a tech do a video for me. Assume customer service.

Terrific customer service with fast replies and great answers. Fast order fill and ship.

After realizing that if I wanted to continue roaming the roads on 2 wheels, I was going to have to add a wheel to accommodate some unfortunate medical issues. So after doing my research and seeing that a trike may be the thing for me. I researched for the place that I thought would be the place to buy. Even though they were 650 miles away, I felt they were the most informative and knowledgeable based off their website and all the videos they have available. The decision was made and I incorporated a visit in a vacation. During my visit I met Dylan. Terrific guy. Very knowledgeable and extremely patient person. I truly enjoyed my visit. When I left, I had no doubt I had made the right purchase and no doubt that I had purchased it from the right place. Unfortunately, there were problems with the shipping company and the trike was damaged and needed to be replaced. This of course created a huge delay. I chose to pick up my trike when it was ready. There have been a couple of minor flaws with the trike (Cattrike 700). These problems were really out of the control of Utah Trikes and they have done their best to fix the issues. In the end, I am enjoying my trike and learning to relax while peddling. Haha! read more

I just received my trike!!! It was packed extremely well, not a scratch on the bike. Well, until I get it out on some trails!!! This is a great company and would highly recommend them. My contact for just about everything was Harold, he was a gem! Truly customer focused. Although I didn't buy a trike from them (I live a long way away and was thinking of after-sale service), I was very impressed with the staff and their selection of trikes and accessories. They were knowledgeable and spent a lot of time -- several hours -- showing me the options and making recommendations. They followed my visit to their store with helpful emails, and I felt they gave me at least as much attention as I deserved. The only negative is that I'm handicapped and they knew less than I thought they should about the best way to keep my feet on the pedals. I enjoyed my encounter with them and would definitely recommend them to my friends. read more

I am writing this review to call out Dylan Youngberg and Cody Fowlke for being the least helpful and downright rudest employees I have ever had to encounter when it comes to assisting my father with his trike. They are extremely hard to get a hold of on the phone, and when one finally does, they are arrogant and treat my father like an idiot. A stroke victim is not an idiot Utah Trikes and deserves the utmost patience and respect when spending close to $10,000. Riding is the one pass time that keeps my father feeling he has some independence left in his life and this company only aids in making him feel like a nuisance. I have asked to speak with the president Ashley Guy before now and they tell me that's impossible, which I highly doubt. I have also read many reviews online of similar treatment to other disabled customers. For a company priding themselves on catering to disabled customers I expect more. Do not spend your money or time here this is a business that does not take care of its customers after you give them your money. Across all departments this business should be reported and to the Utah Chamber of Commerce and the BBB. If zero stars were an option that's what I'd give. SHame on this business and all of its employees. read more
