I will definitely come back here for my next used car. I have always wanted a kei truck since high school and saw one on the lot at Tyacke. The time at the dealership was quick and we got to drive it home about an hour after we got to the dealership. Then I had some back news where Tyacke was able to come in and go above and beyond. The next day I brought it home - the truck would not start up. I was devastated as I was really excited about the vehicle. I knew that a used car dealer had no obligation to help when I bought a 30yr old car as is. I reached out to Chris just to let him know what was going on and how I felt. Chris offered to take the car and look at it for me and found that there was a huge issue with the engine. What shocked me is that he gave me an option at that point - we could undo the sale and I could go on my merry way - or they could help get it running again with a new engine they located. I chose to trust Chris and see how far the repair path would go, I really wanted this thing running again! It took longer than either of us expected but. This went above and beyond to be fair throughout the process even covering payments for the car while it was in the shop for a few months. While the process was a few months, I got my truck back running better than ever! My daughter bought a car from distance (Boulder CO) and found when it arrived that for various reasons - unimportant to this review, but important to her - it did not meet her needs. I got only about 3 sentences into my description of the issue with Stayton before he interrupted to say, "I'll send the transport out to pick it up - full refund of her down payment and I'll pay off her car loan." The dealership was very low key. I got the impression they didn't care whether you bought the car or Not. They were very good about letting us take it to get inspected, but would not negotiate the fact that the only key wouldn't lock the car. They were not interested in the results of the inspection whatsoever!! read more

I was looking for a specific BMW, a station wagon...rare in this country, as BMW NA stopped importing them in 2010. All of the ones that were local to me were high mileage, and 2 that I actually went to see were not up to my standards. I located the one I bought from Chris and Stayton on Autotrader. (in UTAH!)...it seemed to be too good to be true, good pictures of the car and a great Carfax (this is a must) After talking to Chris I decided to do something I have NEVER done before...buy a car sight unseen! The deal went through without a hitch, contracts Fedexed, wire transfer of payment, they arranged a shipment of the car at a very reasonable price... So now I wait, car arrived almost as promised, just one day after scheduled not Stayton's fault shipped car are almost never on time.... On inspecting the car it turns out that it is actually a bit better than I expected. A few minor BMW glitches...."They all do that" Bottom line...as you can see I think TYACKE was a 5 star deal. I was looking at a 2007 Honda Pilot at Tyacke Motors this week. This vehicle was immaculate inside with minimal wear and tear outside. I was told that there was nothing wrong with this car. I performed a more meticulous inspection during my second test drive. I looked under the hood after hearing some creaking during a hard left turn. To my surprise I found some substantial repair worked related to what I assumed was a major front end collision. The structure of the vehicle was actually bent. It appeared that Bondo and spray paint was used to cover this damage. This was never disclosed to me in advance. The description of the vehicle used adjectives like "absolutely mint condition," and "fully serviced and inspected, needs absolutely nothing," which I believe was misleading. My accountability is that I did not ask to see the CarFax report on the front end of my shopping experience. This damage could have been exposed to me earlier through this documentation without the detective work. I also don't want to disregard the many positive reviews about this business, which are numerous. This could be an anomaly or just a major oversight by the people who serviced the car and the ownership. My hope is that this was a mistake and not an intentional misrepresentation of Tyacke Motor's product. I wish that I could recommend this dealership like so many others have previously. However, this experience exposes either gross negligence/incompetence in the people who service these vehicles or a level of dishonesty that is too cliche with used car dealerships. read more

I bought my first car when I was 16, I have purchased many cars since that time over the last 33 years. I have bought new cars from dealers, used cars from private individuals, and everything in between. My experience with Stayton and Chris at Tyacke Motors was singularly exceptional! I owned a 2012 Toyota Sequoia which was in superb condition. I was looking to change to a truck as we downsized with our kids growing up. I explored trade-in options with my local Toyota dealer, and I was insulted. Stayton took my Sequoia in trade for $5000 more than I was offered at Toyota! His trade-in price was generously honest. Stayton listed the Sequoia on his lot for $1000 more than he paid me for it. Then, for a minimal $500 fee, Stayton looked EVERYWHERE for the truck that I wanted. He promptly presented multiple, excellent options. My final purchase was a 2017 Ford F250 SuperDuty with only 17,500 miles. Stayton had the truck customized for me as well. My purchase price was $12,000 less than new, and it is PERFECT! Stayton and Chris also arranged all of the financing, it was seamless. Their dealership is small, their service is HUGE! Don't be fooled as you drive by their lot, there is not a more honest, and helpful dealer ANYWHERE! I will never buy another car elsewhere. Dave M. read more
