So it's great that they have a massive park to accommodate all the people. This park has a little of everything, and they do a nice job of using it year round. In the winter, there's a skating rink. In the summer, it turns into a splash pad. There's a nice sized stage that is used for community events and the large fields of grass are perfect for playing ball. Like with any newer area, the trees are still growing, but in time they will provide some nice shade. And I love that they have water fountains that have multiple uses-fill a water bottle, drink from the fountain and even a water receptacle close to the ground for the dogs.

The playground has slides different heights of slides and climbing games for different ages. The swings have belted seat spot for anyone needing extra assistance. The ground cover is solid so you don't have to worry about wood chips or rocks! And the fields are wide and open to run in. They aren't as flat as you would hope for a game of soccer but it's doable. This spot is super hot for pickleball and tennis. There's also 2 baseball fields. They recently fenced off the elementary school field grounds for safety which I fully support! Those playgrounds and fields are open outside of school hours.

However, spending 30 minute of a 50 min class in warmups is not okay. Also, children running and screaming rampant throughout the facility both upstairs and downstairs in the waiting/viewing area is annoying! I feel they focus more on the competition cheer side of classes rather than other classes they offer. It feels like anything other than cheer is an after thought. My daughter is in the gymnastics classes and hasn't learned anything new and coaches aren't teaching them proper technique. Our old gym focused on proper form and technique, classes were smaller and/or had two coaches to help students. I don't expect my daughter to be a champion gymnast by any means, but I would like her to learn how to do a cartwheel, a proper handstand, the vault, p-bars etc.

Was very excited to not have to drive super far to get to some local hiking. This area very much reminded me of my hometown. I am only going to review one hike though as that is all i had the chance to enjoy of wasatch mountain state park. If I were in heber again i would love to go and explore this beauty more. Crows nest via huber grove via epperson is the hike we attempted to go on. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/utah/crows-nest-via-huber-grove-to-epperson Its a 5.1 mile loop trail that starts at the parking lot next to the visitor center. It is rated moderate. so there are so many off shoots on this trail. We followed teh all trails map and it led us astray. We eventually found the finale crows nest loop but my teens were done at that point and we just headed back. The loop in all trails map also is longer than what is listed. There are not a lot of signs that say crows nest. We did find our way out easily enough. Trail is dry. Pretty area once you get up into the trees. It is nice that wasatch is not too far out of town so very accessible. If you do not have a utah state parks pass be sure to bring $10 cash or go to the website at teh parking lot and then you can pay for parking online

The fans, when properly behaved, get treated to games that rival any major league contest. Only it's their kids out on the field. It's the little ones trying not to play clusterball, the grade schoolers who are getting serious about the sport, and the teens who are taking this to a new level. There are blowouts and mercy rules, and there are nail-biters. I never played baseball as a kid, but occasionally I find myself watching games. The facilities here are geared to the game--several large-ish fields, with a pavilion in the middle that houses the concessions stand and the restrooms. I ordered a burger, and though it's a frozen patty thrown on a gas grill like you'd find in any backyard, the kids do a nice job. And I was stoked to see bleu cheese crumbles and Frank's Red Hot sauce as options to top it, so it turns into a nice burger for $4. Loads of parking, green grass, lights, bleachers, and you can come watch your family or friends play. Hello, summer.
