If I could give this zero stars, I would. My issue is specifically with Lisa. I walked into the post office at 4:59 on December 6th--admittedly, just before closing--which I understand could be frustrating. However, during the busy holiday season, when many of us are also working under pressure and rushing to meet deadlines, a little kindness and grace go a long way. As soon as I walked in, Lisa yelled at me to leave, refusing to help even though she was still assisting two other customers filling out paperwork. When I explained that I only needed my prepaid, pre-labeled, and pre-packaged items scanned, she begrudgingly decided to assist me. Throughout the interaction, Lisa told me I was annoying her, accused me of giving her a hard time, and even justified her behavior by saying she was allowed to yell at me and tell me to leave. Her unprofessional and hostile attitude made the entire experience extremely uncomfortable. This behavior was unacceptable, especially from someone in a customer-facing role. read more

I love this post office! It's usually pretty empty and the postal workers are friendly and glad to answer any questions. They've helped me with a few questions I had regarding a recent move. If you go to the USPS Northside Station to mail a package or drop off a package that you prepaid via the USPS Click-n-Ship application be prepared for window clerks that are extremely rude and belligerent. Sold two items on eBay recently and when I dropped them off the window clerk was abrupt, rude and belligerent from the moment I was greeted. read more

Lisa complained about me showing up 15 mins before they leave with 20 small packages (I was at work and left work early to make it before 5pm) and told the next customers that this would take her 20 mins so they'll have to wait until after they close. Extremely rude staff. Phone line is either always busy, or no one ever answers the phone when it does actually ring. Mail delivery issues constantly. "Attempted" delivery with no options for redelivery EVERY SINGLE TIME. Laziness, at its finest. Then, when you go to pick up your mail, they ask to see your ID to confirm your identity and still give you a hard time. Uh, yeah... I just so happen to have this "attempted" delivery slip, and the contact information on the slip and my ID match, buuuut I could be trying to steal my own mail. Good Lord! read more

Nicely located next to Gandy and close to the MLK. Like someone said below, it's a typical post office and yes they move at a slower pace. Some staff seem to be quite rude while others very helpful, another mix. Although if you are running late to the post office, make sure you get in the line even a minute before they close, Otherwise from what I've observed recently, you might get denied the services and might have to return back another day. read more

I have been here a couple of times & it is convenient since where it is located bUt they have no DROP BOXES inside, only ones for 13oz or smaller. I don't get it, I can not drop off boxes unless yu stand in line to the counter. Wait of my time coming here. No reason for me to come back. read more

I have been missing all my mail box "Packages and Letters" don't know what is going on but I have had at least 4 packages not get delivered even though my tracking shows in my mail box, also I get emails shows my upcoming letters and I have not been getting any letters in The first part of June. Some of these letter are important. I don't know if it's the post office or someone stealing but something is going on. I would give 0 stars if I could. I feel like I need a shower after being inside of this Post Office. There are literal webs with giant spiders all over the inside. Next to the stand with boxes, windows, corners, ceilings...I went in to pick up some priority mailing boxes which there were NONE on the floor. So it was a wasted trip. I couldn't believe the filth I was walking through. The pictures don't do justice to how big they are. How on earth has an employee not cleaned this up? It's absolutely disgusting. Typical post office employees with no sense of urgency whatsoever! The newer gal at the counter smacks gum like she's working in a truck stop in Alabama! WHERE is the management in this location? Asleep in the back?! At a boondoggle seminar in Vegas? When there are 10 people in line, rouse some additional staff and put them on the counter! Your customers have better things to do during a busy work day than wait in your slow-as-hell line as your staff moves at a glacial pace! C'mon, man!! And do something about the big gal at the counter popping gum 25 times per minute! Who chews gum in a customer service role? That's basic common sense and customer service 101!!! If the postmaster general got wind of the dereliction of standards at this location, you'd likely all be fired! In the meantime..... You can start by replacing the gum-smacking gal with a flat screen kiosk! The line would move a lot faster and that annoying popping/smacking noise as she's weighing parcels and speaking to customers, would cease!! She can go to work in a greasy spoon truck stop dinner where people wouldn't blink twice at such redneck behavior!! When your postal customer service jobs are disrupted by technology and you are made unnecessary and irrelevant, you'll be just like the taxi cab drivers when Uber came to town: Unemployed, shell-shocked and wondering what happened. I cannot wait for that day. If you ever believe a package may have been stolen from this location 100% follow up with legal action. Walked in today to get some mail and saw random packages laying on the floor with ZERO workers on the floor, doors unlocked to the whole building. I haven't had this problem but it would have been the easiest thing to take random packages and just walk out. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR MAIL. 35 min to mail a letter is unacceptable. I wait in like patiently and the postal worker tells me I'm not in the right like and takes the next customer. Unacceptable. She took 2 people in my line before I came up to the register. She's a perfect example of why the public hates postal and government employees. Slow, lazy and no service. This is the worst do not come here! Firstly, the workers are rude and have bad service. I went there a few days ago to report a package that has not came over a month and the lady gave me an attitude and said they could not do anything about it. It's what one might expect at a post office: Long lines. People filling out forms in the long lines. People finding out they filled out the wrong form, and then need to complete the correct form, which does nothing to diminish the line. Chatty post office workers. . . Or not. About 3 weeks ago they lost my pageage for about 8 days they said some one took it to the wrong apt complex so now I ordered a new purse and I called about it this morning and I was told I was left a notice on Saturday which isn't true so I am waiting on the post office to open this morning to see what kind of lie they have to tell me about my package 03/16/19 . And while my other package was missing nobody gave 2 fucks about my package being lost when I ask for their bosses phone number I was give numbers that were no longer In Service. The lady at the front desk went to look for it in the back and came back to the front and said nobody in the back will help me look for it I am sorry that when she gave me that damn phone number that was not in service..! Worst experience ever! Older black lady with glasses was the most unhelpful customer service rep I have ever met. When it was my turn I let her know that I had packages being held here. She asked for the door tag and I said I didn't have one. She didn't like my response and said I needed a door tag for her to look and how would I know I have packages here without one. I told her my tracking numbers said so and that I had left a note on my door for the delivery guy to bring them here. I told her last week when I came I had nine, no door tag was left then. She went to the back for like 30 seconds, was able to have a convo with her mgr about it because that's when the mgr came into view and said "you have 9 packages here?" I said " I don't know how many I have, all I said was LAST WEEK I had 9." They both went out of sight and the rep returned within 30 seconds and said I didn't have any. I told her my tracking states they are being held here. She was just like "well I didn't see any for your name". I asked if they could look by address but she claimed no. No service by the counter I had to go close front door and look up the tracking numbers to write down in hopes she could locate them. I gave her three. The first one was super long but that is what the sender gave me. She claimed to have looked them up saying that none worked and that the first was too long anyways. I searched the email and found the shorter tracking number and revised my paper. She did not want to look it up. Questioned me on how it was shipped saying it could have gone by fedex or amazon shipping. I asked her to verify what USPS stood for as that's what it said who shipped it and showed her the email. I told her two specifically stated there were here as of last week. She finally looked them up (I assume for the first time). She went and acted like she looked for them. She came back and said they were not there still. She guessingly said "they must have been delivered today". I asked her why they would be out for delivery if it was noted for them to be there and why tracking doesn't reflect that they were sent out for delivery. She said "don't blame the messenger". Go figure I went home and they were NOT there. Mind you this whole process took about 30 mins and besides when the manager asked about 9 packages, she never came over to help. Other customers were trying to offer guesses but no other employee could be bothered. I now have to file a claim so that someone will actually look for my packages that are sitting there at the post office. I filed a complaint on the rep and mgr. hopefully they are replaced or provided with training at the very least. Also her desk a mess. Confidential addresses on receipts all over and trash. Worst customer service! I had two packages supposedly delivered to my address according to the tracking number. I did not receive anything ! I have been given the run around for 3 weeks now! Each time someone saying I'll call you back once we talk to your mailman to find out what happened, or the person you need to talk to isn't in today call tomorrow . I just called again today and she basically told me I was lying about not receiving my packages! Then proceeded to tell me to file a claim which I cannot because groupon did not insure them! They are the WORST post office O have EVER felt with. We never get out packages on time and they come ripped open. Our delivery person will even NOT show up when stuff is supposed to be delivered. Or they will say they tried to deliver, when no one actually came. We are constantly getting our neighbors mail. Then when you go to the actual office. No some there will even take care of ANYTHING, their whole attitude is they don't want to be bothered or deal with anything. Their Management is the worst ever along with services. I don't know why I continue to come here, the one on 83rd is way better. There is always a line and one employee working the computers but yet at least 2-3 other employees asking the people in line if they are picking up mail and when told no- just need to mail something they continue to ignore the people waiting and do nothing! We were told last Saturday that they were closing in 30 minutes and they couldn't open the other computers so they employees continued to stand there and do nothing while there was a line of 5 people. I will not be coming back to this location even though it's literally across the street, it's such a pain in the ass and takes forever. read more

This USPS branch is the pits. So slow. Every time I have been in, there has been a cue of three or more people. When I was sending a bunch of thank-yous last year, the employee at this location wouldn't help me get everything stamped, which on a different occasion the TIA post office did. 33702, carrier refused to shut the mailbox so mail would not get wet. MULTIPLE requests. At first we put nice note, no response, 2nd note & then a 3rd note NOT so nice, & 4th NOTE VeRY UGLY-TELL THEM HOW WE REALLY FELT. Still ignored request. I went to post office spoke to mgr, assured me it would be closed. Next day it was closed alright with such force my neighbor had to pry open it with a crowbar. WOW! Now they are returning random MOST IMPORTANT items to sender. My mom's health insurance annual enrollment, (caused a lapse in coverage) May 2017- marked not at this address., Address has my mother's name C/O myself at my address but still today Nov 4th I received notice from mortgage Co with the yellow sticky inside the letter stating they post office -RETURNED TO SENDER . This was a time sensitive item, I got a month late and then another hour on the phone to get the address back to what it was w/ mtg co. I spoke to carrier, manager at site and NO ONCE CARES AT ALL. Unfortunately, this is the closed post office to my home, so I go only for convenience. There's almost always a line and the staff isn't friendly at all. The facility is modern-ish but it's way to small for the amount of business they do. The best thing to do is to use the self service machine. Save yourself the wait. read more

Can I give a negative rating? I order from Amazon for a delivery 2 items, one was a bed frame, the other was adhesive 1 quart size. I get a notice in my mail that says attempted delivery, I was home, so was 2 other people and a do, so someone would have heard something. I put in a request for a re delivery the next day giving benefit of the doubt. Nothing come, but, this time I saw the carrier and went down to meet him. He said the day before there was no attempt because the items can not be delivered due to the size, but, this gets better, the quart of adhesives couldn't either because of "theft" in the area, I literally receive a delivery every single day from Amazon and it comes via FedEx or UPS, not once in 14 years have I ever had this issue, even in shady areas. I spoke with the supervisor who said it can only be a pickup only. But wait, there's more. I went and reordered the adhesive for the next day. It comes via USPS AGAIN. They tell me they attempted delivery, which again, I was home and 2 others were here as well and the dog of course. There was no delivery and must be picked up at the post office AGAIN!!! This is apparently the laziest bunch of sorry a-- people I have ever seen .This item is 34.2 pounds shipping weight. So its not even that big, If they actually went to the door, they would have seen we were home to deliver to. I hope this is is one of the post offices on the cutting block when they start closing some down. We will do just fine with the one 1.3 miles down the road. read more

The people are nice and keep it moving unless you've one of 1,000 people trying to pop in during lunch, but there's no stamp machine or package collection for after hours and the new road alignment makes it a pain to get in and out. read more

This post offices delivery ability is a joke. I mail things from Texas all the time and they sit in this post office for 2-3 days or more sometimes before they get delivered. When I've called to find out what the problem is there is no sense of urgency, pride in a good job or concern for the customer. read more

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star if hat was possible. I showed up at 5:02 pm on a Friday 5/22/2015 and the woman was so extremely rude. She was helping someone and said No we're closed before I could even say anything. All I needed to do was pick up a really important envelope. Why does the post office even close at 5 pm anyway??? People work!!! Every other post office I know of closes at 7pm. The woman was awful and this post office is stupid. Judging by other reviews I'm not the only one who hates this place. read more

I noticed that this PO is listed as "Gateway" which it is not. It is called Northside PO. The clerks here are way more friendly than most other post offices. They are very helpful. read more
