Nobody wants to work here, and that was an explanation by one of the former Postmasters for why things are so messed up. 18 - EIGHTEEN TIMES now this post office has delivered packages addressed to me elsewhere! Sometimes I finally receive the package, sometimes I don't. Often times the package has been opened and resealed. Other times it's been opened and left at my door unsealed. There's ZERO accountability. They blame it on the Sender addressing the package incorrectly. They blame it on the Sender's post office "hitting a wrong key" when processing it on their end for shipping. They blame it on their computer system. They blame it on the rain. I've asked REPEATEDLY if ANYONE actually looks at the name and address on the packages? And I'm usually told "We don't do that. We just scan the code and that tells us where it's going." Some packages have come as far away as the UK, Japan and Australia. They make it all that way to my post office and then they're sent to the wrong address?!!!! ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC!!! I PRAY THAT AMAZON PUTS YOU ALL OUT OF BUSINESS, AND I'M PRETTY SURE THEY WILL!

It is supposed to open at 8:00 most days, but they typically come out to open the door at 8:10 to 8:15. This has happened to me several times, and I usually drop my letters in the outside box. However, there have been times when I've been in a hurry and they opened 10 minutes late. The last time, the guy opened the door for me and saw me with boxes to mail. He walked to the back and never came out to work at the counter. I yelled "hello" but he didn't come out. I left and went to a different post office. I know these people are under pressure so I always work to be kind and polite with them. However, they are almost always unkind to customers. I can only imagine the climate of the job at this location. There are two other post offices within a five minute drive. I recommend going elsewhere.

The back story is I needed to send a winter coat back to the manufacturer for a repair. I grabbed…read morethe only box I had, one from an Amazon delivery and packed it and went to the Post Office. They quoted me $92, not because it was heavy but because of the size of the box. Needless to say I opted to try something else. I called The Mailbox store and spoke to a guy who explained that the charge is based not only the weight but the size of the box. He said they have multiple boxes for sale and if I came in, we could try and find a cheaper solution. I stopped in on the way home and after a couple of different "fittings" we found the smallest box that would fit the coat. Total cost including the box $47. This store is under new ownership and I highly recommend them for any shipping needs plus whatever other services they provide.

He said they might be open on Sundays soon, too, and I'm thrilled because it's so hard to find places for FedEx nearby (unless you need just a drop-off box).
