I have been going to the post office since the day it opened. When I check in here, I often think to myself wow why does it have such low reviews? I usually have great experiences here. Well today, I witnessed why. Most of the employees that were here delightful and try to be as helpful as possible. The first employee that I ran into was fine. The person I encountered for my transaction should've been written up for how she spoke to the person in front of me. How she spoke to me wasn't the best customer service either it was just Kurt and sort of rude in tone. I get that some customers can be difficult. Do not, I repeat, do not come to this location for anything passport related. I've been here twice now in the past 4 years for passport related services, and today took the cake. Went in for my husbands passport and my infants passport. Had an appointment and we were told they could take photos. We arrive and we were rudely told that they don't do infant photos even though the website said yes, and that they dont even have a camera...we were sent off to cvs to get photos. Whatever, fine, did that quick, came back....now the application isn't printed right and she turned us away and said she wishes she could help us today but she is slammed and she's by herself...meanwhile there are 2 other people working there and two people behind us. Really? I remember this employee too. During the last World Cup, she was pretty distracted in watching the game instead of helping me out with my passport last time. I do not like using my platform to leave bad reviews as we are all trying to make a living. I scheduled a passport renewal appointment and arrived 15 minutes early at 12;15 on a Saturday. The lady that got me did not want to be there. Continuously looking at here phone and also mentioned that she did not have a recent break. I proceeded to sign my application with the wrong color ink pen and it was all downhill from there. An honest mistake should not be followed by berating the customer. Her attempts at helping afterwards were not handled in a professional manor. I rescheduled for later his month at a different post office. I'm hoping this process can be completed before my family Caribbean cruse in Spring 2025. I'm giving 2 stars because I've been here before and never had issues. Been going to this location for years until today where I'm actually annoyed. I usually have to mail packages out after my work day ends which is after 5, and I beeline for this location to do drop off packages only. Usually they allow people to drop off up til the minute of closing, but today I got there at 5:23 and both the counter and package drop off were closed and locked. There is a car parked in front so I know there is personnel working in the back. They decided to lock up early because what, laziness? Don't want to work? Pathetic. Going to drive to a USPS a few miles farther but actually stay open until the time they specified. read more

Downloaded yelp just to review EDDIE and his disgusting attitude and lack of customer service. Eddie was unbelievably rude, repeatedly cut me off assuming he knew my question, had the attitude of a 16-year-old girl, and provided zero help. I understand Eddie has no control over a package, but he does have control over his mouth and his attitude. I also understand people have bad days, but the sarcastic smile told me this is just his normal mood. I dropped off a box on Feb 8th, he scanned it in on the 18th, and after no update as of now (the 25th) I went to ask for help and received hands down worst customer service I've ever seen. I assume whoever oversees this store would be mortified if they saw our interaction. Not to mention I still don't know anything about the package. They need to do better. And fire Eddie. read more

Their mail machine that feeds envelops is BROKEN and good luck with your recipient even getting their mail within a month if it doesn't get returned to you. So now I have a stamp that was wasted at $.66 or whatever a pop (but not marked) but there's markings like it was scanned on the bottom therefore it can't be sent again. You keep raising the prices and for what because it sure as heck isn't service!!! FIX your machines. That's what these idiotic price hikes every other year are supposed to pay for. read more

We just moved into the area and already had issues. I have on video the deranged angry driving contracted mailman throwing the package on the porch and knocking my flower off and breaking some flowers off. I sent the video to multiple USPS sites. None of them could help but directed me to another site where none of them could help. I got an email from the manager saying she had been there two years and it was her how to make it better. That's going real well. Then we have packages that just sit there between accepted and not accepted days after Amazon said it would be shipped. Amazon can see how it's in limbo so why keep using them? As with all the reviews for most of the Post Offices in Franklin County, this one is just as bad. We were there to get our infant's passport. The website stated they take photos. We got there on time for our appointment with all materials filled out and ready. We were told they didn't take infant photos and sent to CVS. When we got back Hannah simply said "you need to reschedule. I'm booked" in a very rude manner, no apologies or anything. Theresa and Anna were honestly the worst customer service employees I've ever encountered. They were both extremely rude, unprofessional, and seemed like they would rather be somewhere else. I really hope this location can do better about hiring employees who actually want to give good customer service. I understand customer service can be difficult, but it's important to treat everyone with kindness, and not pick and choose based on race and ethnicity. I hope this location can do better in the future to hire employees who are not prejudice and strive to deliver great customer service to all their patrons as the Gahanna location does. read more

By far the most competent and nicest postal workers I met. Passport service super simple and day to day is always awesome.

Do not mail cards in the mail with money at New Albany Post Office. Deposited cards in outside PO mailbox to Grandkids out of state, one a week ago and the other two weeks ago both in afternoon. The fact never arrived although going to VA and TX indicates the theft probably occurred in New Albany Post Office. read more

Wrong mail delivered often. Mail carrier cannot read addresses. I have complained many times but does not do any good.

I am here at least 10 times a week dropping off packages for my business. These workers can be SO RUDE for no reason! If you want to make life easier for everyone, designate a drop off spot for prepaid packages that isn't right in the middle of the way. Jesus. It's not that hard. read more

The New Albany post office is wonderful. I never thought I'd say that about a post office! The the staff is helpful and efficient. I've never waited more than a few minutes on line. The mail delivery to my home has always been reliable. Mail hold works perfectly. I really appreciate these postal workers and this post office. read more

Worst customer service ever! Just moved from Florida and had two packages to deliver. I needed tape for one and he handed me the tape and told me to do it myself and sent me off the line. They also didn't have any priority mail small boxes in the service center. Handed me one from behind the counter and sent me on my way to package and wait back at the end of the line. Will never come back here again. What a way to start my new living experience in a Ohio. Place royally sucks. Go somewhere else read more

In 7 years of having mail on hold they got it right once! Start/stop dates incorrect; mail delivered many days while on hold etc! Had mail "stolen" or not delivered many times & had to work with banks & cc company on unauthorized charges due to this! Staff friendly but abrasive sometimes! Not great customer service! read more

I have an expensive package missing, tracking says it was delivered to a parcel locker but there is nothing in my mailbox (usually they leave the key to the locker).. I also missed important tax audit from another state I lived in in the past and ended up with a lien on my bank account because of that, this post office is dangerous.. read more
