They shouldn't have an attitude with customers asking simple questions about shipping international items etc. Before closing the box, I handed the customs form to the employee and asked if everything was ok to send. I was unsure if I could ship a can of soda or not; of course everything was described in detail. I know that she knew because she said I needed to be more descriptive than "soda", so I added "root beer" next to soda. *She* said it was ok. She taped up the box and then said to read the screen about prohibited items. One was that there were no liquids. I hit "yes" and she looked so irritated. She had to ask another employee behind the counter if it was ok. She came back and said no. She said "Ugh.. after all that taping we have to pull it out". She then took her sweet time to un-tape and and re-tape the package. It was clear that she wanted to waste my time because I didn't have everything perfectly ready for her. The takeaway: The Positives: The line was short (1-2 minutes). Negatives: Rude and genuine disinterest to help the customer. Uneducated on basic shipping rules. (2 out of the 3 employees while I was in were rude to customers. One older lady was very sweet and sounded knowledgeable.)

Instead of addressing it, they eventually left a note saying they "don't use that type of mail service." That makes no sense considering they deliver that exact type of mail to my address regularly. If there are limitations on what they will pick up, that should be clearly communicated -- not ignored for weeks. Extremely frustrating and unprofessional. And to add. Sometimes leaving it leaning against the wall next to the driveway or on the ground in front of the garage. But the front door? No way. Can we just abolish the post office and expand UPS or FedEx? The staff here is always willing to do anything, most of the time employees at other locations will tell me to just put it in the prepaid bin and won't give me any other time of day. The employees at this location will always help you with whatever you need and take the time with each customer, Josh is always extremely helpful when I go in. The only downside is there is no self service machine as someone set the post office on fire a couple years ago.

It's small, but efficient and they provide all the necessary services that you need at a small local post office. There is limited parking on the side and front of the building, but it's pretty infrequent that there's a long line inside either. It's just a nice small local post office that gets the job done.

As an e-commerce business owner I ship everything I can via USPS and through this particular branch. USPS out weighs the competition in price, products, and services. Free shipping boxes and mailers, great business rates, personal service, care in handling packages, etc. I have yet to have a lost or damaged package that was shipped via USPS, and I ship thousands. I cannot say the same about their competition when I occasionally use them for extremely heavy or large shipments. The New Hudson USPS is rather small, but their level of service exceeds all of the dozen or so other post offices I've visited from time to time. I would highly recommend them
