Unbelievable slow even for a post office. Over 25 minutes waiting as the 2nd person in line. Staff disappeared from the counter for long periods. No sense of urgency. Almost as if they take pride in going slower as more people wait in line. Like watching slugs move in the grass. Lost my mail (and the mail of many others standing in line) and expressed not a care in the world. The so-called "manager" graced us with his presence after being summoned by multiple staff and was nothing but rude and dismissive. Having a great day? Go to this post office for a guaranteed foul turn of events. Poor service, poor parking lot, all the workers are 100% mad at the world. If you are not getting yelled at then you are standing helplessly without anyone assisting you. Heaven forbid you ask a question. I suggest either moving in line silently with your head down, avoid eye contact with employees. or just pay the extra postage at fedex or UPS, 100% worth it. This post office is equivalent to a Wal Mart visit. read more

If i could give big fat 0 for this location i would indeeeed! Nobody ever ever answers the phone the ENTIRE day, there is absolutely no reason to never ever answer it. I've had mail carrier issues w this location... i was told someone will get back to me right when the carrier comes in and they speak w them.. nope, no call all dayyy and no answer alll dayyy.. they could atleast call back as they said they would and give me an update on my mail that all disappeared out of my box. I've been inside there before also... super slow, my grandmother could move quicker than some of them and perform the job needed! They are very rude too and not friendly either read more

I've had an over-sized package for a week they refuse to deliver to my doorstep that is next to my mailbox. I am most likely going to have to be return to sender... because I do not have a car (work from home only ubers/taxis) to pickup at a USPS location they assume I can make it to. I get packages from FedEx and UPS at my doorstep no issue. USPS is lazy. LAZY! read more

Just getting in and out of the parking lot is a nightmare, and it only gets worse when you go inside. Employees are incompetent, indifferent and sometimes unintelligible. I will gladly pay triple the price and use Fedex. read more

Terrible delivery service . Since moving to this part of town 18 mo ago. I've had pkgs delivered to other addresses, pkgs left out in the rain. Most recently a pkg that arrived UPS sent to USPS for delivery 3 days ago, and they are still sitting on it. No one ever rings doorbell. Have had 6 pcs of mail over the year that I never got from Medicare, Social security, bank, DMV. Delivery to a central mailbox drop for community of only 40 residents is awful. I've tried to call this PO several times no one ever answers phone. EVER. read more

To update you guys from my last review - my brother in the military received his package in a timely manner and everything was intact and taken care of. I have been back to this USPS 3 times since my initial review and every time it's been wonderful. I have never waited for more than 5 minutes and I trust the staff and their knowledge enough to feel secure that what I am sending will arrive just as it went out. I think people have had negative experiences because they walk in the door with a chip on their shoulder expecting to have an awful time and treat the staff poorly, and it makes the environment awkward and tense when people do that. I have never seen the staff being rude to people, but I find it strange that every time I've gone, there are people there treating the staff like crap. If you walk into this place like an a-hole and you treat everyone disrespectfully, you're gonna have a bad time. So my advice is that if you're a jerk - go somewhere else and give them a scathing review. If you are a normal person that treats others with respect, welcome to your 5 star post office. read more

This Place is Horrible! I had my package delivered on 10/9 to the wrong address by the carrier! I have called for the past few days & haven't gotten anywhere. I was told yesterday, 10/16 that they can't find my darn package. These people don't care at all. I've asked for the supervisor Imed (who they informed me is the supervisor) called this morning called again only to be told he is in interviews. Then the woman Karen or whatever her name is told me i called this morning. These people don't want to be held responsible for losing packages! Ridiculous! read more

I've lived in 4 states and this is by far the worst post office I've ever been too. The Employees are SO RUDE. Like really really rude. I've seen them yell at people before for being to slow or not having there package all the way ready. Especially the lady that is always there. She is mean and miserable. This is by far the worse location in Charlotte. I was contacted by a lady which I will not say her name on her but she is some sort of supervisor. She said my package had an insufficient address. She said to call her back and left a number. She said she would give me a couple days grace period then would send back to the sender. I tried calling over 20 times no answer. Even still today no answer. I drove by the branch with my information and no body could find the package without said person who was gone for the day and then off on the next day. So I am 3 days in and cannot locate my package nor the person to talk to that apparently has the package. I have called customer service twice and gotten 2 case numbers. I have never seen a worse run business. They are failing folks left and right. Hopefully they will get better management in this location. Fingers crossed. Chances are I will never see my package. read more

If I could give this place NO stars I would, but Yelp makes me put down some kind of star. I still can't talk about the incident with the post office without tearing up. My daughter left for US Navy Basic Training on July 7th 2015. As a parent you are always nervous about a child leaving but when you have to rely solely on US Postal service for communication it can be nerve racking. Since my daughter left I have been checking my mail on a frequent basis (I live in an apartment complex with very small mail boxes but have an office that will accept mail) so as to not miss any communication with my daughter. I noticed for several days I didn't get anything in the mail, not even junk mail. So I called the post office and spoke with a supervisor named Josh. Josh was very nice in getting back to me in a timely manner - but had advised me that the route carrier had blocked my mail and was sending anything I was receiving return to sender because at one point my mail box was full of the junk mail that they put in the mail box. So as you can imagine my heart sunk hearing this news and explained my anticipation of a letter from my Navy Recruit. Can you imagine how my child must feel knowing the letter she sent to me was returned to her without any warning as to why?! And she can't call unless there are special priveledges?!? And I have NO way on communicating to her what happened besides using the horrible postal service?!? It's now August 4th and I have yet to hear from my daughter via mail. (She phoned my parents to see what was wrong with the 1 phone call she was allowed on her day to call) I can't believe that a person would take it upon themselves to return mail since there was no change of address put in and no notification to me that they were going to stop my mail. I never heard another word from supervisor Josh and I even went in personally to speak with him in regards to a course of action for the route carriers neglect to do their job. I barely use the postal service as it is, and now I know why I don't. Relying on the postal service and this location has got to be the worst experience ever! read more

Watch out at this post office. The scale at the automated machine is not correctly calibrated and is overstating the weight of mail packages and thus overcharging for postage. I mail DVDs to my online customers on a regular basis and am very familiar with the typical weight (normally around 9 - 11 oz) and postage cost of item. I was surprised therefore when went to use the stamp machine at this post office that the mailing charge was $0.50 to $0.90 more than usual. As there was a long line behind me I went ahead and paid for two packages but then stopped at the third one that said the weight was over 14 oz. I took the remaining packages to Pineville-Matthews post office (where I usually go) and used their automated machine to stamp the remaining packages at the lower (correct) weight and cost. I didn't put the packages in the mail just yet but instead drove back to Ballantyne Post Office and used their automated machine to get the postage cost for the now stamped packages and proved that the machine is overcharging. Once again the scale reported weights around 50% higher. The post office was now closed but I saw a clerk coming out with a large sack of mail, I stopped her and reported the issue to her. She started trying to make all kinds of excuses initially suggesting that maybe I'd made a mistake and then saying that sometimes the machines are 1 ounce or so off but it makes no difference to the mail charge (not true). I explained that I had the evidence from Pineville-Matthews PO with me and the difference on my packages was at least 4 oz and their machine was making a significant overcharge on the mail. I warned the people in line behind me also. I hope the post office takes care of this matter and in the meantime this serves as a warning to other customers to be careful not to get bilked. It is sad that this is occurring during the week leading up to Xmas when the post office is at it's busiest, with hundreds of packages being mailed every day. read more

There has been several items, as well as checks, mailed to me that never arrived. When I called the office was put on hold for 20 minutes by a lady that sounded lazy and half asleep. She was so tired she only half way enunciated her words. After calling back I was able to speak with the supervisor who didn't seem to give a __! Then I called the postmaster to submit a complaint but couldn't actually speak to a human, making it impossible to complain. I strongly dislike the service. read more
