I came here for my passport application and everything went smoothly. I made an appointment online and came 10mins early (Thursday 12:20pm) . The guy helping me out was calm and helpful. The office also had good music playing so that definitely put everyone in a good mood :) I would recommend calling ahead of time to ensure their printer is working if you need photo services. It's a bit hot in there but other than that it's pretty adequate for your mailing needs. I actually went recently to get my son's passport done. The best part was that we could get an appointment online and just let them know when we got there so wait time was significantly less this way. We were able to get pictures done there, plus apply for a first time passport for my son. So excited for him to get one, and hopefully when COVID disappears we can travel together in the future. The post office employees are pretty nice and know what they are doing. Appreciate their kindness and hard work. Beware that if you are going to ship a package or letter with a tracking number, it will not be entered in their tracking system if you place it in the box located in the main lobby. I placed a package with a tracking label in the dropbox located inside the main lobby on December 12. I checked the tracking number 2 days later, and no tracking info was available. I waited a couple more days, and still no tracking info was available. I contacted the recipient and they had not received the package. I waited another week and no tracking info was available. I then filed a missing package claim with the USPS. I then went to the post office when they were open and was told that items that are dropped in the box are immediately loaded on the truck and are not tracked. It has now been a month, and the package was never received by the recipient. The postal system has no idea where it is because they never entered it into their tracking system. read more

Bless the US Post Office. The prices are much more affordable compared to FedEx or USPS. I had to return a package that was legitimately about 0.4-0.6 oz (rings) that didn't provide free return shipping, so I was trying to find the most cost efficient store to send back my items. I went to FedEx and the ground shipping for that little and light box was $9.99!!! Crazy, I understand the timing due to the holidays, but that is still a little ridiculous. I told them no need to rush the shipment, etc. Overall, I would get it if it was heavier, but my purse was heavier than that box! Therefore, I called USPS and their pricing was ~$11/12 dollars. I was shocked. My last hope and stop was here, USPO, and thank God for it. I saved $5 for shipping, because my cost here for the same 2-3 day shipping (local by the way) was $4.39. LIKE COME ON! I actually enjoyed my interactions with the staff here except for a female employee named Bridget. She's so miserable and rude and I can't believe they trusted her to serve customers. As a front desk staff, you are a representative of the company and your negative attitude reflect the image of the branch and USPS as a whole. I witnessed Bridget to be rude and condescending when speaking to customers in my many times visiting the branch. Fast forward to this day, I brought NINE small packages that had prepaid labels on them already but I wanted them to be scanned to show it was accepted by the Post Office. Bridget made a comment loudly to the customer behind me but with me standing right in front her that I could have used the machine outside to scan these packages. I mean, you get paid by the hour and it should be irrelevant whether you're there to scan my packages or sell book of stamps to another. Considering there was only two customers total including me, that comment was not needed. Especially when my transaction took two minutes to complete. And she was rushing to get rid of me that she didn't even circle the survey info on the receipt as she's supposed to. I went there and they said the package never left California. A lie, but I had no proof. This post office is pretty old and dirty looking. I have definitely been to better USPS locations. Inside is quite small. They have the 2 main rooms and a small room for passports I think. They sell greeting cards and gift cards and obviously packing supplies. The service is never amazing. The line no matter what time is terribly long and slow moving. Sometimes there are 3 ladies working, sometimes 2, but most of the time 1. Gotta give them props for working here and dealing with customers all day long, but I wish there was always 3 people working. read more

This is the nearest PO I go to to drop off mail and ebay/etsy packages. They have one kiosk inside but sometimes I have to go wait in line to be assisted by an employee as the kiosk regularly runs out of Forever stamps or is occasionally "out of service". The line to be helped by an employee is usually really long on Mondays and Tuesdays and it gets shorter and quicker at the end of the week, obviously. There are usually 3-4 registrations open at the beginning of the week to deal with the line and it goes down to 2-3 employees on Fridays and Saturdays. Keep in mind that Saturdays, they close early at 3pm. All final mail at the blue boxes at this office are picked up at 5:15pm everyday. Just be forewarned that they will not help you with PACKING your stuff that you intend to mail out. I've seen too many people come in with BAGS of stuff, waiting in line, to be helped and then told to go back to the end of the line to properly pack their stuff- please don't flip out on these nice employees and grumble!!! Simply go to Wal-mart and buy boxes, packaging bubbles and peanuts, packaging tape, and a black permanent marker and do the packaging YOURSELF. IMO it's cheaper this way than purchasing the packaging materials at any PO. And oh by the way.... don't be one of the people that show up with packages wrapped in gift wrapping paper and expect them to ship it like that either... they will tell you that it CANNOT be shipped like that as gift wrapping paper is so easy to tear- isn't that what it's purpose is??-- put it in another box or wrap it with kraft brown packaging paper. I saw this happen more than once over the holidays and Valentine's. Their hearts may be in the right place but their minds weren't! The only complaint I have for this PO is the location.... it is accessible as "one-way" as I come in from South Congress and have to go in the Publix Plaza from the front and go behind the Publix store from the left side/near Wing Wah and Little Caesar's to get in this without stopping at the lights and making U-turns. And then to leave the PO parking lot... I have no choice but to get in the far left lane on Boynton Beach Blvd if I need to go to Wal-Mart or the next plaza over for Barnes and Noble and then make that U-turn there. Meh. Otherwise.... it's still the closest PO in the part of Boynton where the Boynton Beach Mall is, can't beat that! read more

Rude staff. I went in to have my mothers ashes shipped to her sister. Package was already put together and the employee grabbed the package, flipped it all around and said "where's the address?" I told her I didn't know where I should of put it or if I need a label to put it on. She put a label on the box and told me "go over there and get back in line when you're done." I asked if she had a pen I could borrow and she walked away and said she only had one for herself, then called for the next person in line, dismissing me. Not sure if she was going through her own issues but don't come to work if that's how you're going to act. It's hard enough I even had to go in there for the reason I did, then disrespect of this ill mannered employee flipping her ashes all over in front of me and dismissing my questions. I wish I can give this post office a ZERO. Mind you, this is my first time I felt compelled to ever review my experience - ANYWHERE. My father and I entered this Post Office a few minutes before closing. As we were rushing to stuff the documents into their respective envelopes, one of the workers yelled, "We are closing in a few minutes and I will turn off the lights on you and him." Not only was that an extremely rude thing to say, she decided to physically DEMONSTRATE, by turning off the light in the lobby. I simply stated, "Okay." Her behavior, WITHOUT A DOUBT was racially motivated, as she showed no outright disrespect to those who looked like her and were present. As I went up to pay the postage for some of the documents to another employee, she had the AUDACITY to ask if we needed any help. She asked in a completely different tone ... so she does know how to be polite she just decided not to be. I was appalled. This post office delivers the most backwards form of great customer service. Every time I have a package or important letter come in the mail that requires a signature, I never receive it the day it was delivered. Why? Because they so called "missed me" when really the lazy delivery drivers just go straight to the mailboxes in my apartment complex and leaves the "sorry we missed you" letters instead of coming to the door for my signature. Then it takes 2 days to be available for pickup at the store. Mind you these letters are important. Meanwhile UPS and FedEx comes to the door if a signature is required but will leave the package in the box if it doesn't. This is just unacceptable.. read more

Leaving 1 star because I can't leave none. They are unable to change my address right, a year and a half now since I moved. They keep sending some mail to me, some mail to "nw" instead of "sw" even though it says "sw" on address and envelope/package. So they processed the "address change" but they just can't get it right. So I get some mail, and some I don't. Some I get forwarded some is MIA, some get returned to the sender because they can't find my home. Also they don't know how to answer the phone. Weather is Monday at 9am, Wednesday at 11am or Friday at 2pm. Never answers the phone. No answer machine either it goes to busy tone after it rings. Oh and they aren't open on Saturday. So you have take time off of work to deal with them on changing your address, even if you've done this 6 times already. read more

The individuals who work here are extremely defensive and think everyone is against them. I had a simple question about whether or not my package needed a signature so that I could better plan my day and be at home when my package arrived. The "manager" I spoke to was rude and condescending and should not be in her position. Literally, just retire and collect a government pension if you hate your job so much. I guess she did not know coming into this she would have to have minimum customer service skills. This facility and it's employees are incompetent and make you feel like you are bothering them. Postal Service in east Boynton is horrific at best. Constantly returning my mail to sender as unable to forward. Forward where? I've live at the same address for over 20 years. Today I was to receive a package from my daughter. Tracking showed it was out for delivery. My daughter was so excited for me to get home and open it. I got home no package. Checked tracking and "Delivery Attempted-No Access to Delivery Location" they will redeliver the next business day. Since I live in a single family home and it's not a gated community, that's absurd. And there was someone home. They deliver my mail constantly to a neighbor down the street. Instead of worrying about a raise, they need to learn to read and do their job! USPS needs to send the employees at the Post Office in Jupiter on Military Trail to train these folks. I work in Jupiter and use their facility often. Courteous and extremely helpful. I will gladly pay more and use UPS before I will use the USPS in Boynton Beach to mail anything. read more

I use this post office for work errands. But I will NEVER do anything more than drop off envelopes here. First off, facilities are run down. The package drop has been broken for months and still nothing has been done to replace it. Their solution is to have you drop it off at the counter. Where other customers are. This is not a viable solution. I'm not entirely certain how do you all live but in my house we don't use our books as soccer balls and yet somehow my text books and reading material continue to be shoved in my post box and arrived scuffed and torn. i came today because since December 6 my mother sent me a package and usually i receive them after 8 days .. so i came to the post office and nicely i asked the girl , i say : Hello how re you ? she barely smile or say anything ..she s asking what do you need . I say : my mother send me a package long time ago since December 6th and i still didn t receive it , is it a way you can see if the package arrived here ? arrived at 3:00:35pm that's 35 seconds past 3 on sat and they were unable to let me pickup my letter. Then to make it worse I had to wait uutil Monday. I arrived at the post office Monday morning with my pink card to get my letter and now the same lady with tattoos all over her neck said well ur letter is not here perhaps it is out for delivery and we will give u a call if we find it. This is after waiting in line for 30min. There were only two people working the counter. I just can not believe that we pay for this type of service. The postmaster should be ashamed. I dropped off two bills and my vehicle registration renewal (with personal checks in them) for mailing at this location which never got to their destinations and I discovered this by chance after their due dates. So, I had to pay $40 in late fees because of someone's incompetence at the post office. Not only that, I have no idea where my mail went or who might have my credit card number, bank account number, and vehicle registration information. Thanks a lot USPS. Totally incompetent. read more
