We visited US MD Plano with Dr Marium Siddiqi MD on 6 December 2021 for my daughter's wrist pain from a possible repetitive use injury. The doctor ordered an MRI and directed us to Medical City Plano Radiology. We were told that they will contact us for scheduling. No calls were received for a week and then I started calling both the above said radiology dept as well as the doctor's office. Never heard back from the Radiology dept as I could never get a person on the phone it was always leaving voice mail. The doctor's office said each time that we will hear from them for scheduling. Finally on 20 dec, two weeks from my original doctor visit and no diagnosis or treatment plan, my child still in pain, I called the doctor's office this time demanded to leave a message for the doctor herself. I was told that she is on vacation. I then said, I do not want to wait for that Radiology anymore and want to send me to another facility. The doctor's office agreed and suggested Preferred Imaging Richardson and was told me that they will fax the doctor's order to them. I called the Preferred Imaging later in the day but they have not received. I decided to wait till next day and I called them and they told me that they received the order but not clinical notes which is required to get the insurance approval. Not just "MRI right wrist". They since then contacted the doctor's office but have not heard back. So I told them that is not surprising as I have not heard from my doctor's office for my multiple calls in 2 weeks. so i will call again and see if we can get the clinical notes. This time I called and asked for an office manager. I did get Vanessa Brewer on line. The call didn't start off well as I narrated my story to her and she said "I don't have any information about this as the staff said that you wouldn't give the patient info so they just have you name!" I told her that is not the case, I gave my daughter's DOB or whatever I was asked, since I am seeking help, and they did pull up the info because she confirmed the name with me. I said that was an unnecessary accusation - the manager defended herself, rightly, and said that I don't know why the staff told her that but its not her. She went on to dig into the records at their end and found records of some of my calls. But didn't know why someone has not fixed this earlier or called me back. She apologised. Vanessa said the doctor's office kept sending the order but the order wasn't the issue. They should have send the clinical notes. She wasn't sure why someone from her office didn't take the extra step and did "what I just did and that didn't take long at all" and solve the issue. She offered to call the Imaging center and offered to send her the necessary notes right away. She also told me that if I don't hear by tomorrow I can call her back directly. This is a great relief.
We just moved to Texas and started the process of consulting with US MD for my whole family. Both mine and my husband's initial experience with this practice has not been impressive. My husband's asthma kicked in as he received his booster shot and had an online consultation with a PA. During the brief (under 10 mins) consultation, there was another person walked into the room and walked around made a lot of noise. This was during a patient/doctor consultation - a third person walk into the zoom room - no idea who that person is - no explanation was given. Are we going to continue to pay this group and be treated badly? read more
