The staff was really nice, service was good and the food came relatively quickly. The food was, for the most part, tasty. The pikilia plate was sooo good. I know it's just all the basics on an entrée plate, but I honestly loved everything about it. I'm also obsessed with feta so it helped that there was so much of it. The fried Calamari was perfect and the grilled octopus was very flavorful, especially with all the vegetables and spices it was served with. On the other hand, the grilled Calamari was not as satisfying. It basically had no flavor to it. Would not recommend. When it comes to the meat, the pork was amazing, but the chicken was bland. In regard to the desserts, I was somewhat underwhelmed. The kanolaki (a cannoli with Nutella and Greek yogurt) was good. However, I would much rather eat a traditional cannoli with ricotta cheese filling. In comparison, this cannoli was lacking in flavor. Also, the shell was extremely hard. The baclava was tasty, although I've never had it before so I have no standard to compare it to. Overall, I was satisfied with my experience at this restaurant and I would come again. Although some of the dishes were lacking in flavor, there were enough dishes that I really liked to make another trip worth it.

I went with two other coworkers. Since it's meant for you to share dishes, it was a perfect opportunity for us to all try different things. Two of us ordered the whole Branzino to share. The fish was so tender and flavorful. I also got a side of the lemon potatoes. The lemon was pretty strong but it did not take away from the taste. We also got a side of Pita with the Melitzanosalata (eggplant). It's an acquired taste and is served cold. The star of the show was the Greek fried cheese that was presented over an open flame that the waiter prepares in front of you. Overall, all of the food was good and I will definitely be going back the next time I'm in Montreal!

The decor is spot on Mediterranean, with their white washed wood wall, blue and sand coloured cushioned chairs, and light wood finished table tops. Their logo matches the theme of Greek history and lore too; based on the legend of Minos. I'll need to do further study on that before divulging any secrets of Zeus' family tree. With an experienced Chef, Montreal food influencer Niko Atsaidis, other dedicated management and enthusiastic staff, I have high hopes for this pristinely new spot. I mean it - their washrooms are super clean too and that's rarely the case at any restaurant. The kitchen is open and also spotlessly clean. Moreover, the ventilation is fabulous and pumps out great air flow. From how hard they've been working pre-opening, this should be an exciting addition to the quick-serve food scene in Montreal and maker of happy stomachs. The light Greek music was also a nice touch adding to the welcoming group of owners and staff behind the main counter. Now surely I was hungry from a long day, but I must say their poutine had a great scent and was truly devourable. I was still full from it and the side of hefty and peppery Loukaniko sausage, until late into the evening. They also have proper and perfectly marinated and seasoned souvlaki and gyro which are their staple dishes as their name makes clear. Their tzatziki is thicker than most (more traditional I believe) and filled with lots of tasty green bits of veggies, and happily not the ruin-your-breath-for-days garlicy or repeat-on-you-for-hours type. Their banner-style chalkboard menu is very well drawn out and focused. What they do, they want to do right, and I respect that greatly. Too many restaurants have super lengthy menus - and they can't do everything well, no matter how hard they try. Minos wants to concentrate on things they can create in-house and source with high quality. Their Greek imported olive oil is a big time standout and according to the 'chalk talk' note on the board - beer and wine are on their way. Rumour has it they will be Greek imports - so bravo on that upcoming addition. I look forward to trying other items, especially the veggie ones and honey drizzled dessert. Good luck Minos - show 'em how it's done! PS I will mention the fries are not hand cut and the cheese curds are not the squeakiest - at least at the time of opening and not five stars, but the brown sauce, Loukaniko, olive oil, decor and service are all worthy of the five, I will leave it as such.

Started off with hand cut fresh breaded Calamari with a seafood sauce. Hot, Crispy and delicious, (can order as a entre or a meal) Had the special Lamb Chops, mouth watering cooked to perfection with salad, fries and rice. Good grill marks, melt in your mouth and excellent flavor. This was the most expensive thing on the menu. Great Value. Its our third time here and had the gyro plate, and New York Steak wanting us to come by and try more. Keep it up guys good work.

Boy were we wrong! This is an authentic greek restaurant, with authentic greek cooks and cuisine. The look of the restaurant blew us away (especially compared to the previous places). The good: Great restaurant look (the paint and decor makes it look bigger). The welcome at the door by the manager was great. Speaking of her (co-owner by the way), she is what a manager should be, which is greeting people, helping staff, goes around to look if you are satisfied or need anything. Food is TERRIFIC! Everything is fresh, and you can taste the freshness. They have their own poke bowl (pork or chicken, no fish). Tzatziki sauce is to die for, best l ever had! Lots of flavours in the food. Great service. Pretty good portion sizes. Strange enough that l notice, but they have a coat rack to hang your coats. Also it seems the bathrooms are clean and they got rid of the "Regal Smell". They let my wife order off the kids menu (and that is way before she mentioned she had a surgery that limits her eating and portion sizes). They just want you to be happy. Oh and huge size cake, they brought us four forks (being a group of four). The bad: You could be waiting for a while before you receive your plate (everything is cooked from fresh, no precook or freeze, so that's normal). There is no English menu (but we were told they are coming). In the end, what a GREAT discovery! We will definitely go back.
