The woman you speak to regarding Usher's tick spraying, was initially very helpful, taking the time to explain their spraying process and the three month contract they recommend to cover the initial tick season. She was very responsive, always answering the phone when I called with a question before signing. After signing, they give a three day window that they will come and spray due to environmental factors (rain, wind, etc). For the first spray, they did not come in the three days, and after calling, the answer for their delay was "environmental factors" as well as a truck breaking down. She assured me that I would be the very next day and made a note at the top of my order that said "New Client" to ensure they made the effort to come. They finally did at that point, and I put the fact that I had to call to make that happen behind me.
The contract says the "residual spray lasts 2-3 weeks" and they spray once a month in order to be protected from ticks. Thus, one would assume they would come back every 4 weeks. As of today, it's been 6 weeks since they've come - and I had to call again in order to question why no one has been here to spray. In speaking to the same woman, she offered no apology, but that I could pay an extra fee to ensure they came at the beginning of the last week of June so that it wouldn't interfere with a party I have scheduled on June 30th. So, no apology for not coming for six weeks, no guarantee that they would be there before the very last day of June, but I could pay an extra fee to perhaps ensure (if they weren't in the Hamptons on one of these days, as she noted) that they could come before my scheduled party? That is just bad business.
Her tone was condescending with no bit of remorse, apology, or understanding of the gap in their application. I suggested I speak to higher management about this, and she actually laughed at my suggestion. And, in some attempt to appease my shock at this company's lack of responsibility for their inattentiveness and poor scheduling, she suggested it might be better if I hired a smaller company that could accommodate the schedule I was looking for. Isn't tick prevention supposed to be on a schedule to prevent ticks? The fact that this company made me feel like I was crazy for even suggesting that they hold up that end of tick prevention is baffling. Eventually, though, after 20 minutes on the phone, she said she would bring this to her manager and see what she could do. In the meantime I found a new company who is coming at the beginning of next week and comes every 4 weeks after that in order to have the highest probability of preventing ticks.
Please stay away from this company and their poor business tactics. They aren't for the "little guy" - I guess the Hamptons and the wealthier of their clients get first dibs. So sorry I ever called them and put my family in this position. read more
