A Wisconsin Rapids computer company had it twice, we paid, but again, not fixed permanently, only lasting minutes. I chose I.T.S.M because it is a veteran owned company and because of their honesty. They fixed it right the first time! Finally, after years of no sound, I could enjoy my laptop. I highly recommend this company. They are very professional and easy to talk with. We went in the store knowing exactly what we wanted, so we didn't really need an associate's help. However, none of the associated offered help while we were roaming around the store. Which is usually fine if we knew where what we were looking for is located, but we didn't so we ended up just walking in circles before finding the ancillary computer accessories sections located in the back near closer to the TV section. Additionally, we lingered in this section contemplating on which wireless mouse to get. Although, we had our eye on the one that we ultimately got. Again, some assistance in picking one may have been appreciated at this point. Since we were passing through town and knew what we wanted, the experience was good. I can see how someone else who may need assistance may end up leaving without purchasing anything. The check out experience was fairly standard, and it was the first interaction with an associate, but I guess better the cashier first than the security guard who'll check purchases before you leave.

Recently had some antenna issues for my over the air broadcasts. My local tower guy was out due to…read morea back injury so I contacted Selk to come and fix our antenna. It was determined that our antenna was bad and we needed another. The technician explained that they had a Wingard GS 2200 Sensar amplified antenna that they had installed numerous times and had great results with. I was familiar with this unit as I had seen it on the mfr web site at $70 retail price. At first I could not believe such a small odd looking thing would work, but low and behold it did. The problem I have with all of this is the highway robbery billing. Selk charged $170 for a $70 retail antenna that they pay less than $36 for. This is in addition to install and travel time bringing the bill to over $290. When I called and mentioned that the retail price of this antenna was only $70 and I was billed $170 I was told "we are not in the retail business. Apparently they are in the 400% plus mark up business. caveat emptor

Received a new prescription on 12/7 - Dr faxed prescription to Medwest while I stood in the office. 12/15 still no equipment - Medwest says they have no record of it. Re-faxed information. Gave Midwest the information that they could call. Next came a ton of excuses ranging from "well I only worked a half a day, I had meetings all day, I don't have their phone number, I don't have their fax number, the fax comes back with black lines & I can't read the fax." Called 12/29 & offered to pay to push this prescription through faster. Called 1/5 got a manager involved & gave them til 12pm on 1/6 to get the prescription filled. Medwest called at 1:42pm 1/6 to say they still didn't have the right fax information at which point we told them we no longer needed their services. Went to another medical equipment store and had the correct prescription not even an hour later. Pretty pathetic!!

I then spoke with the employee and the following is how that conversation went: Me: Do you always treat your customers this way. Sam: What? Me: You didn't great me, you just took my stuff and rang it up. You did not speak to me at all during the transaction and just handed me the receipt and never said a word. Sam: I guess. Me: Who is your store manager. Sam: I am Me: Wow, you are the store manager. Sam: Yes, have a nice day I would not recommend this store. I will not be frequenting this Barnes and Noble in the future, as I have better options where the customer is still treated with respect.
