I sent them what they asked for and they gave me a quote. I told them I wanted to move forward with getting it replaced and asked if they could come out to replace the window this week/weekend. They said they would need to come measure first, so we spent the next 3 days trying to nail down and date/time, but they were giving me vague answers like "tomorrow", but no time given. They said they could probably come out today (Thursday), but didn't give me a time. I asked what time, so I could have someone at the house to meet them, and they told me "around noon". I had my boyfriend go to the house to wait for them because I couldn't get away from work. He waited there until 2 pm before giving up and leaving. While he was waiting I asked J&J to call when they were on their way, sent a follow up email to see if they were coming, and sent a text asking them same....... NO RESPONSE AT ALL. I ended up sending a text back and saying not to come because I'm going to go with some else. This is not an effective way to run a business. I need to be able to set a time or time frame and know that the company I'm hiring is responsible enough to at least answer me. I can only imagine if I paid them and something went wrong, how big of a hassle it would be to have them come out to fix it. Don't waste your energy or your money on this company.

After trying everything I could, I had to tape plastic over the outside and a blanket on the inside just to keep the room tolerably cool. Window Systems of Texas answered my call promptly and had a service truck on location within a day or two (sleet and freezing temps prevented an earlier appointment). Our project isn't completed yet, but so far, we're in love with their work. Our crew is nice,…read morefriendly and hard working. They've replaced all the less than optimal bits behind the old siding, at no extra charge to us. We're just over a week into our project and our electricity usage has gone down. That surprised me because they've been using power tools every day. We went from single pane windows and crappy old siding to double-pane and low-e wrap under the siding. The only day they didn't work the whole day was due to rain. I can't recommend them highly enough. We've expanded the work they'll be doing for us, even. Don't hesitate. Our experience has not been like Cristi's at all.
