I even paid extra to have his teeth brushed because I expected a higher-quality service. When I picked him up, it honestly seemed like he hadn't been properly bathed at all. He still smelled very bad, almost as if he had only received a dry bath. What upset me the most was the haircut. They completely ruined the shape of his face, and the hair on his forehead looked like it had been cut with zigzag scissors. He was left looking choppy, uneven, and poorly groomed. A few hours later, we called to explain the situation, hoping they would be willing to make it right. Instead of apologizing or showing any concern, the manager was extremely unprofessional. He told us that since it was only our third visit, "that's what we paid for." He also said that if we wanted our dog to smell better, we would have had to pay an additional $30. The way they handled our complaint was even more disappointing than the grooming itself. We weren't looking for an argument--we simply expected them to listen to our concerns and offer a reasonable solution. It's very disappointing to pay for a service and receive such poor results, followed by such disrespectful customer service. Unfortunately, we will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this place.

On June 14, my family and I went into PetSmart and saw two kittens that we instantly fell in love…read morewith. We spent time holding them, playing with them, rubbing their bellies, and bonding with them. They were so comfortable with us -- they were licking our fingers, letting us rub their stomachs, and even falling asleep in our arms. The employee Gina even said while we were with them, "I never seen these kittens so calm with anybody." That meant a lot because it showed how comfortable they were with us. We also made it clear that we had experience with cats and have had cats before. The same day we saw them was the day the kittens came into PetSmart. We submitted our application the very next day and waited. We were told we would receive a phone call either way, whether we were approved or denied, but two weeks went by and we never received any call at all. When we went back into PetSmart, we found out the kittens were no longer there because they had been adopted on June 23. We were very upset to find out we were never contacted, especially after building that bond with them and expecting the chance to bring them home. What hurt the most was finding out they were adopted by someone else who was able to adopt three cats, while we were never even given an update about our application for these two kittens. I am very disappointed with how this situation was handled. I understand animals need good homes, but communication matters. We were really hoping to take these kittens home, and it was heartbreaking finding out they were gone without ever getting a call.

One of my good friends pointed out that I may find this machine and good service at the local PetSmart. A young lady behind a counter pointed us, in the direction to the magical machine. It was really very easy to use. We also brought a new leash and a snazzy collar. Four stars because this was a routine visit, nothing spectacular. Customer service was average and the merchandise was average. No follow up at the register "....did you find what you needed?" Absolutely nothing above and beyond.

What bothered me were the bird conditions, especially the Cockatiels, who were crammed in stacked cages. They were so sweet and needed/need more room and light in my humble bird-LOVING opinion. The bigger birds had better cages and spacing. All looked good and healthy though. Really cool raccoon family animals that I think were for sale. Lots of great and unique products; I saw rabbits too. Based on other reviews, they must offer other small critters too. Prices were standard. I got a an adorable birthday gift for my "great niece" and a super cute pizza foraging toy for one of my spoiled Lovebirds. I hope the store is expanded because it was pretty tight.
