Kate in the showroom took her time on the showroom tour and offered some helpful insights about choosing the right quartz for my kitchen. She also priced out several options to help us narrow things down. Paul is an amazing carpenter, he gave me GREAT tips to help get our countertops all leveled out. Owen took his time measuring everything exactly right, his attention to detail and answers to my questions were greatly appreciated. And Luis and his install team were quick, professional, courteous and respectful of our home and property. They used drop cloths and swept and vacuumed throughout the install and the one seam I needed came out perfect, you can't even see it unless you are looking closely. I was thrilled that even though my kitchen has 2 corners, I only needed one seam; the competitor quote I got specified that my kitchen would need 2 seams. Now every morning when I wake up and make coffee I smile while looking at my new kitchen. Super grateful that we chose Cary Granite, would use them again in a heartbeat.

I purchased new counter tops through our local Lowes Home improvement store. Mixtura Business was…read moresupposed to be the installer. I paid the required fee for them to come out and measure our counters. Mixtura called us a couple of days later and confirmed a date at which they would come out and advised us to make sure someone was at home at that time. After taking an entire day off from work to wait for their crew to come out, I received a call from Mixtura approximately an hour before they were supposed to arrive advising me they would not be coming out today. When asked why, they just stated "Personal reasons"... What?? I then asked when they would be coming, and they stated they would call me back in a few minutes and give me another install date. After several hours and receiving no call from them, I called them back. Their response was "Oh, we'll have to call you back next week and give you another date". When I asked about refunding my money I paid upfront for the install, I was told "Oh, we usually don't do that". I then advised them not to bother calling back for a new install date as I would not be utilizing their services. I subsequently checked this company out with the Better Business Bureau and found they are not accredited through that office at all, no wonder. This is not a very professional business. There are many well accredited contractors you should consider before hiring this company.

I hired Honeycutt to redo my guest bathroom floor. I'd it done last year by KJ Natural Floor. The…read moretechnician laid the floor tiles unlevel even though it was on a level concrete slab. He blamed the floor but it was level and it's on a slab which he also claimed. I found Honeycutt and Travis came from the Charlotte location to for an interview and give estimate. I like Travis. He quoted a price that was a little high but I was ready to get the floor done because I was scheduled to have Ankle replacement surgery (September 3) and then go to a nursing facility for 10-12 weeks. He rushed to get me on scheduled. He contracted a crew who is very competent BUT wasn't reliable. Travis said that they did million dollar properties. My home is not a million dollars home but it is mine and I want the same services because my money pays just as a millionaire does. Martin is the supervisor and Hugo, his tile guy is capable of doing great work but you have to stay on both. Martin would come with Hugo to get him started and leave without telling me. Hugo would do the same. I had to call Travis several times to find out where there where and if they were at lunch or done. Travis said that he had multiple jobs going and he pulled them to help me. I appreciate that but my job was not a priority. The first day, Hugo came late, removed the tile, worked for an hour and left. He didn't tell me and left the back door open and the garage. Travis said that he may be at lunch but he could have told me. Travis did speak with both Martin and Hugo. Hugo would tell me each time from then on. I just had to work on his schedule. He was supposed to remove the tile down to the concrete slab and level but he left all of the thin-set and placed the tile that I purchased on top of the old. He made it level but the floor is set high. I have issues with falling so my concerns with falling is great. I purchased two marble transition pieces; one thin and the other wide. Hugo said that he used the new thin but it looks identical to the old. The wide transition piece was out of stock. Travis said that he go get it and let me deal directly with Martin but he'd be available to supervise. He was just going to let them do the the work and give me the price. Travis offered to clean my bath because I wasn't able. I purchased cleaning supplies and mops but he must have been busy with opening the Raleigh location because he did not come back to clean. He is working alone so I get it. He asked where I would be at the nursing home so that he could send flowers. Martin has not contacted me about the transition piece so I am going with another company. He did the quarter round and it was awful. Hugo came and did it and it looked great. He also removed two tiles that didn't go with the other tiles. Travis had him fix it. Obviously, they both have specialties but just getting them to do it was the issue and that is why I gave a 3.
