Have come here several times now and am never not left satisfied. This place may not look like much on the outside, but the donuts are incredible here and they have a great selection too. I personally am a huge fan of their jumbo sausage cheddar roll. The staff inside is always sweet and quick to have your order completed too. I had donuts today. My donuts smelled and tasted straight like chemical acetone or nail polish. I don't know if there storing the donuts in a great place or pour ingredients being used, or simply not knowing how to make the dough. It was so bad I couldn't even eat my donut ! read more

It's hard to find a good kolache in Dallas but boy are these things MASSIVE. the staff in here is always extremely friendly, not to mention the prices are great for the quality. If you're nearby make sure to check this place out, located right next to luckys hot chicken it might be easy to miss but it is definitely worth a stop. I love donuts, but I rarely ever go to a donut shop. One reason is because I'm not usually awake in time. The other reason is me going to a place that specializes in donuts is like a crackhead going to a crack store. Srsly. Today I had the task of getting donuts for work, so I was focused on 6 glazed and 6 chocolate. I didn't even look around to see other options, but there really didn't look like many. I'm kind of bummed I didn't notice the pigs in a blanket. Those sound yumms. Anyway, I thought the donuts were a'ight. This is exactly what I needed this morning! Some delicious donuts for a delicious price. I'm usually trying to buy some specialty donuts that cost way too much. I got 3 huge cinnamon rolls, and a beautifully fried apple fritter for $4.32. I just so happened to have $5 in my wallet!!! I treated my close coworkers to a cheat breakfast. Only one thing I would like for USA Donuts to do. Please add more cinnamon to the rolls. They tasted more glazed donut than a cinnamon roll. read more

Downtown Dallas ran out of donuts. Yes, the whole Central Business District. I know it's hard to believe, but it's true. So at 9 am, I set out to find donuts. We have a file clerk who is going into the National Guard and then on to be a member of JAG...don't laugh, he really will. We wanted to throw him a going-away breakfast yet we had NO DONUTS! I drove down Live Oak and came to USA Donuts. They still had all the varieties. Several meaty-bready options, croissant, blanket, ham and cheese, sausage...all combinations! And they have the chocolate iced donut holes with sprinkles, one of my favorite things in donut land. Bought a dozen of several kinds and went back to work where everyone went on and on about how great the donuts were compared to where we usually get them. The glaze was thicker and sweeter! I drive by this place on my way to work, but I'm usually running to late to stop. But I think we learned something today, it is NEVER too late for donuts. *waits for applause* Screw you guys...I'm going home. read more

USA Donuts is just like most donut shops you'll find in any city/town in the...USA. $6 for a dozen and your choice of donuts are all the usual stand-by's. i dont recall anything too exotic; blueberry, strawberry, substantial-looking bear claws, crullers, eclairs, coconut, etc. you get the idea. in my mind, what sets this place apart from most others are the kolaches (pigs in a blanket) and the croissants. both are homemade here, whereas they arent at many places. i feel obligated enough to bump it up to 4-stars. there are large and small kolaches, regular and "spicy". the spicy kolache's have jalapenos in the sausage which is phenomenal. the spicy snap of the sausage combined w/ the buttery, gooey blanket is heaven. another thing i noticed, the sausages were cooked well, seared and were crisp. i think many times you see just off-color hot dogs boiled in water that do nothing for flavor or appearance. i imagine they cook them on the griddle. kolache aficionados will enjoy these! the croissants are huge and $1.99. there's plain and ham/cheese. i got the latter and it was doughy and cheesy. highly recommend it. i live in the neighborhood and will certainly be stopping by to grab one often. lastly, the ladies working were very nice. there were also many people eating inside, enjoying their morning and conversing. it is a mixed race neighborhood and the donut shop seemed to eschew just that, thing of beauty. read more

Stopped in here on a Saturday morning and got an absolutely delicious croissant. It was flakey, buttery, and filled with ham & cheese. So delicious! The doughnuts are also great, but the best part is the croissants. Seriously, the croissant served by this hole-in-the-wall doughnut shop beats out all of the croissants I've had from high-end french pastry shops. Amazing! I went here for the first time last week and it was a nice trip. I stopped in to pick up some morning meeting goodies at the last minute. I am pretty health conscious so I am not a big donut go-er. nevertheless, I only had a few minutes and this was the best option. Yea for the drive thru window. The lady was very nice and patient with me. I ended up paying about $30 for 6 33oz waters, six 10/12oz OJs, 5 ham n cheese croissants, 5 pigs and a blanket and about 1/2 dozen old fashioned donut varieties. She threw in a bag of donut holes. I picked up the Sausage Egg Cheese croissant or sandwich. Egg was non existent just two paper thing see through slices almost as if they themselves cut the egg sheets that thin. If my boyfriend were writing this review he'd probably give it 10 stars (he'd make it possible!). He swears by their glazed donuts saying and I quote "they make the best damn glazed donuts in Dallas". We get into little tiffs about trying a new donut place, but I always let him have his way and needless to say we end up at USA Donuts. I really like their donuts too, but being that I have a life long favorite place I like to go, I just couldn't give them the extra star! Get there early because they will sell out in your favorite donuts. I'd say you should probably there as soon as possible. A very solid donut shop choice. The kolaches are great, and they have jalapeño cheddar in addition to the standard sausage and with cheese. The shop looks a little rough, tucked away in a seemingly undesirable area, but don't judge this book by its cover. This place is worth the stop. I ordered the donut holes and a kolache. I do agree with deno, they have some very tasty donuts. The first time I was there my hubbie and I had gone to Starbuck's on the next block, I order my coffee and my pastry which was about 2bucks, he insisted he did not want a pastry. On our way back he decided to stop at USA donuts and with 2bucks he got a lot more pastries than I did. We get home and I start to feel jealous because I'm done with mine and he still has some in the bag. Oh well I wanted to be trendy, it's my own fault. So now it has become a place that we'll stop by on a Saturday or Sunday morning, most recently we had the jalapeno pig in a blanket which was good and spicy. Ham and Cheese, Ham and Cheese! Love their yummy ham and cheese croissants. They are buttery, fluffy, and filled with gooey cheese and yummy ham. The h & c croissants are big. These run out fast. The glazed and chocolate covered donuts are fluffy and so good. They taste very good. They didn't have this artificial after taste like some donut chains. Their glazed donuts are perfectly glazed. If you visit on a Saturday morning, good luck because you will encounter a long line. Fortunately, the workers are friendly and quick. There is a drive thru, but ordering inside is so fun. Good donut place. There are always 2 or 3 people in line there regardless of what time it is but I have also never had a long wait. The building definitely used to be something else but I have never been able to figure out what. They do have a drive through but I always end up going in side to see if there is anything different that catches my eye.
