Front end damage - no windshield damage

I hit a deer in Dec and had repairs done in March. Terrance did the estimate. When I told him I only had liability, he said the only thing keeping it from passing inspection was the driver side headlight. He also told me that it was cheaper to buy headlights on Amazon than it was for them to order it. I had a good feeling about having the work done there because he seemed to understand my situation. There was damage to the drivers side fender, front end, and hoof. The estimate I received was about $5300, and included the radiator and condenser. I had previously had the radiator assessed and there was no damage to it so I asked for it to be taken off. Terrance said we could take anything off that I didn't want when I called to schedule. At the time, I didn't know there was a Terrance Jr and Sr so when I called to schedule and spoke to Terry, I assumed I was speaking to the same person. I asked to take off the radiator, condenser, and the passenger side fender. Terry told me that we could walk through what I didn't want when I brought the car in. On the day of the repair (Monday 3/6), I drove my car to the shop at 6AM and left a note on my windshield to call me to over the quote to bring the cost down. I also wrote there was a set of headlights in my trunk. By 3PM, I hadn't received a call so I called to check the status. I spoke with Terry, who claimed that he had already replaced the radiator and condenser and ordered a headlight and passenger side fender. He said it wouldn't be an issue to send back the fender and headlight, but they had completed work that I didn't agree to. I spoke with him about the note I left, and he apologized for not communicating with me. In hindsight, I should have asked him to stop working; however, I allowed him to continue without any communication about how that cost was going to be handled. On Wednesday, I called to follow up and spoke with Terrance, who said they were running behind and were busy. I didn't hear anything on Thursday or Friday. When I didn't receive a call on Monday, I called to check the status. I spoke with Terry, who told me they had just finished painting the hood so they were close to finishing. On Wednesday 3/16, they called and said the car was ready. When I got there I received a bill for $4300. I asked about the radiator and condenser and Terrance told me they were cracked. I asked about the note I left and why I wasn't contacted before the repairs were done. It was at this point that I learned they were father and son with the same name. He told me that his father hadn't seen the note before replacing the radiator and condenser but after I called, they found it on my windshield...When I gave him my credit card, he told me that there would be a 3% fee charged but if I had cash or a check, I wouldn't have to pay the fee. This was not communicated before picking up my vehicle, or during scheduling so I paid over $4500. I drove home but by the next morning the car wouldn't start. When I replaced the battery the next day, the driver's side headlight was out. There was also a crack in my windshield that wasn't there before. I emailed a picture to Terrance and he told me that Terry had "cut his finger" on it when replacing the fender. When I called to follow up, his story changed and he said he was sorry his dad didn't tell me about the crack. I stated there was no crack in the pictures I had of the damage and it was not in the quote, which he follow with, "we knew you were paying out of pocket and figured you wouldn't want to replace it." My car sat for almost 4 months, with me running the vehicle every week to keep the battery charged. It was subject to temp changes and a crack would've shown before I took it in for service. They refused to replace the windshield because "they weren't responsible." They charged me for work I didn't agree to. They charged me over $150 to use a credit card. They took advantage of me because I am a female. Don't use them for repairs!!!!!

Same Day Bumper and Collision Repair - Highly visible scratch post "repair"

Same Day Bumper and Collision Repair

My car, the first and probably only brand new car I'll ever have was vandalized as I ran into a…read morerestaurant to retrieve an order I had called in. As I was returning to my car, I could see it from a distance, someone had "keyed " scratch, the entire length of the driver's side of my vehicle. It was severe. Rule of thump: put water on a scratch on your auto finish, if the scratch disappears it can be buffed out. When I got home I ran the hose, wet the car, the scratch remained completely visible. As I'm new to Raleigh, and new to NC I didn't know who to call. I opened the Yelp app and contacted several repair shops based on reviews. They all responded promptly and gave a quote except one. The first one to respond didn't give me a quote, he set a time for the next day when he could come see it in person. The day Travis arrived a few minutes early and I was ready. He inspected the scratch and gave me a quote, best by several hundred $$ I was skeptical, I told Travis I was awaiting to hear from a couple more shops but I would let him know either way within a couple hours. I had a good feeling about Travis so even though his very much lower price gave me a "too good to be true" vibe, I needed my car fixed so I texted Travis. We set a time for two days later as I had to work around my schedule. Travis' two helpers arrived early, before Travis. They explained they would prep the car and could start immediately. I left them to get started as I had a project had had to attend. When I looked outside maybe 20 mins later Travis was there his truck unloaded, equipment set up. All three seemed very busy. What they had to do to get that scratch out was unreal. The scratch wasn't just to the metal, the metal was scratched as well. It was a lot of work many steps in the process and it took some time. As they neared completion of the project, one of the guys found me in my backyard and filled me in. I started towards my car, already close enough where the scratch was previously visible, I saw shiny pint. I continued to close the distance, scrutinizing with increased intensity. I was at the car, scanning the previously damaged area with my eyes. I saw no sign of any damage, no residual of the scratch whatsoever. My nightmare was over, Travis and his guys made my car look like brand new. I can once again drive my car with pride. I recommend Same Day Bumper and Grill all day every day and twice on Sunday Than you Travis !!
