The website is not user friendly and I am having a very difficult time with their software. It's not very user friendly compared to prep agent. I tried to get a refund after I paid and it was only 7 days in I sent them an email and they took days to even respond to my email. I wouldn't recommend this company. I'm sure they may offer great training in person for live classes but their online courses i can't even navigate the website. It's a good review, I passed on the 1st try. The recorded crash course was very helpful as well as the print out review. It was a little confusing to use the app but once I got the hang of it, I didn't have any trouble maneuvering through out the course. I recommend this course if you taking the CA real estate exam. The review questions were good as well. To pass the real estate exam you must know and understand the concepts and do a lot of review questions. read more

Very happy with CA Realty Training. I took my mandator pre requisite classes 4 years ago for getting my Real Estate License, but I never scheduled the State Exam Test. After 4 years of no practice I forgot everything. I signed up for the CA Realty Training and used their online portal for a month and passed the State Exam first try. I originally paid for the Online Portal + the In-class Weekend Course. Unfortunately, the weekend course was cancelled, but they provided plenty of warning and offered other options. I ended up not going to a live weekend course and solely utilized the online pre recorded classes, taught by Ian Madian. I was very happy with the teaching abilities and structure of the course. In the end I feel it was a blessing in disguise that the live weekend course was canceled. Watching the pre recorded videos in your own connivence when you want, was much better for me. You can do as little or as much as you want depending on your mood and brain capacity. Here is what I did to succeed. 1. Watch all the pre recorded classes, taught by Ian Madian. This will teach you the concepts. Take each short test after each subject. I believe there are 7 subjects, some are hours long, others are 30 min. Its a lot to watch but way better then cramming in 2 days on the weekend. 2. Take the sample test in each subject. There are 70-190 questions in each subject. Look at the correct answers as you go, this will make sure you remember the correct answer and not the wrong answer. Then take the test without the answers showing. Do this for all subjects. 3. Take the "State Exam Practice Test". This encompasses all subjects and questions and sets a timer for 3h:15m. Take this test as many times as you need until you pass with 80% or better. If you can do that, your ready. When taking the "real" State Exam Test, no question is exactly the same as you practiced, but they are similar. You will be able to recognize the correct answer. Or at least process of elimination. read more

Hello People, stay away!! With Covid hitting, I was forced to leave for Europe after I signed on for the classes. The website does not work well( or at all ) from a EU IP address( other Realty courses have small print regarding the same issue but not CA Realty). Came back and tried to extend as my emails offered from CA Realty, but was informed that I just missed the deadline as the CA department now requires the completion within 12 months. I asked to see verification regarding the changes that just happened 3 day ago, and was sent a snippet of a small print publication , with no source reference or date for verification. hmmm.. that was strange. But the offered me to sign on again for a small amount of ONLY $150.. :0. I have asked for a refund and they state that a form has been sent to my email for the request, yet nothing is in my inbox. ugh.. can only imagine the hardship of a getting my full refund. read more

Keller Williams -- LA Realty Training. I cannot say enough good things about this program. The teacher is the person that truly makes or breaks an experience. Robert Rico MADE mine. I have always had an interest in real estate but didn't know the best way to get into it. I started to research--there were a lot of online classes that were very inexpensive. I wanted to take an actual class even though that came with a higher price- I thought it would be more worth while and I would be held accountable. I came across LA Realty School via Yelp. I took a plunge and went to one of their career nights. They were very welcoming and I enjoyed what I heard the class could offer. I liked that several people were in the same boat as me... wanted to get into the industry, but had limited experience. You have to start somewhere! I gave Robert Rico a chance--I'm so glad I did. Rico is very personable, easy to talk to and is passionate about real estate. He keeps his class very engaged and really makes an effort to learn about everybody in his class. Every class was packed - I couldn't get there early enough to get a decent seat. Ha! I never missed a class bc I wanted to soak up as much as I could of Rico's knowledge. I really like his teaching style. You can tell the quality of a teacher when he gets excited about what he's teaching and he knows what it takes to be successful. His personal stories/experiences helped glue some of the harder topics we covered to understand the big picture which was extremely helpful. The Keller Williams office is very friendly filled with people that have open arms to help with anything that you need. Carolee, Rico's wife, is on top of so many things that are necessary in order for Rico to do what he does so seamlessly. They are most definitely a power couple. I will be in touch with Carolee for assistance in sending in all of my paperwork in order to get my license finalized. I can comfortably say that Rico Made my experience. IT WORKS! I took the two day crash course with Diane Brito at the Santa Monica location over the weekend. Diane tailored the information perfectly for the test and gave us good tips on how to remember certain concepts. Diane also told us stories about certain situations where the "challenging vocabulary" came into play. This allowed me to tie the story to a word, so when I saw it during the actual test, it was easy to remember. Another bonus is that Diane gave enough breaks to keep everyone energized and focused. Test Results: I passed on the first time, I recommend taking the test in the afternoon of the next day and reading my notes and PDFs. Also, I recommend taking the practice exam and course quizzes after you feel comfortable enough with the information that way you get a more realistic pre-test score and you can really focus on certain topics. Remember the allowance is 45 incorrect answers, so do not stress and focus on the major concepts! read more

This material is dry but Mac made me actually excited to go to class, and that was on Saturdays for crying out loud! I've learned so much in the process not just about real estate but about myself. I just graduated from the courses and will be prepping for the state exam. CA Realty Training even has prep exams for you so you feel the most confident going in. I already wrote a 5 star review based on my first two months of courses at the Santa Monica Keller Williams office (Jason Gervais). When Jason moved on to hotter pastures (literally: he's team leader in Covina, though I'm not sure Sherman Oaks is all that cooler), I was stranded. There was *no* way I was driving from WLA to Covina, no matter how nice the Redlands noodle house is another 25 or so minutes east en route to Scottsdale. I also like the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Co and it's in the same mall. But even a white chocolate apple won't induce me to drive to or past Covina. Then my father died (March, 2015). Then I was in Seattle (April) and New York (May). By the time I was ready to complete Finance, the third and last month of the course, the course materials had changed from Allied to Licensing Solutions. I taught English three years at University of California, Santa Barbara, and I'm a Ph.D. candidate in English. People paid me to evaluate writing, so I will be blunt: the lady who wrote the Practices and Principles we used in the fall of 2014 cannot write. I don't mean that these books aren't page turners. The whole course is filled with stupefyingly dull material no sentient being could find anything other than sheer drudgery. I mean that she can't write. Like not at all. Her prose turns dull material into material which induces a desire to bash your head against a pure granite wall simply to deliver you from the boredom. The Licensing Solutions screen shots are better than the Allied materials, and I think CA Realty Training was smart to make the switch. Change is always annoying and during my hiatus from class, I'm told many were disgruntled. But it was a good choice. Chase Milner was more than patient and generous with me and my strange, bicoastal three-city schedule. He recommended Kelly Aluise in Beverly Hills and she was spectacular. We always finished early and like Jason, she injected her personal experience over the past 12 or so years selling real estate. Kelly knows her stuff but doesn't take herself too seriously, nor does she engage in that "hard sell" thing which makes sales in general so off-putting to those of us with academic or other professional backgrounds. None of that "Always Be Closing" Glengarry Glen Ross attitude (with or without the psychosis). Kelly is straightforward, honest, and extremely affable. She wants to make money, but her manner is pleasant and low-key. Real estate is not neurosurgery. Little would have irritated me more than a teacher who treated real estate as something other than a glorified form of hustling with a potentially altruistic twist. Kelly is an obviously good person who wants to her clients to be happy and her students to succeed. With the possible exception of Grapes of Wrath, I don't think I've ever read or studied material deadlier than the books in this course. But unlike GOW, these books aren't painful. If you're going to get a real estate license, CA Realty Training is the course to take. I had drinks and appetizers at Wolfgang's every night before or after class. Wally's (the new wine bar connected to the famous old store on Westwood Blvd) is spectacular. And you've also got Nic's, which has a great happy hour (4-7PM). Parking 5 bucks a block away. In sum, for something as mind-numbingly dull as a real estate licensing course, this was not bad at all. read more

Suzan is not only an active agent but a great instructor. She shared numerous stories from her years in Real Estate which were invaluable. She is knowledgeable, encouraging, and personable - it was easy to ask her questions. After being told for years that I should get into real estate by friends I'd helped find apts in NYC, I moved to LA and finally decided to take some classes - if nothing else I'd learn something new. I found CA Realty Training online and signed up, as the classes were at Keller Williams (well-respected, to say the least) just minutes from my apt. Rico filled in for the first "audit" class and gave an overview of the instructors, their styles and personalities. Kathryn Shafer sounded right up my alley: down to earth, lots of great experiences to share, and guest speakers to learn from and bring the material to life. And, she taught on Saturday, which was a must with my full-time job. The material is dry - lots of rote memorization and facts, however, Kathryn's Saturday classes were invigorating. What a great body of experience she has to call on - and man does she tell a good story! Her real life examples are not only a hoot, but they bring to life the material in ways that make it easy to remember. Kathryn's guest speakers (at least one per class) are also a nice touch, breaking up the 3-4 hour class, and allowing us all to ask experts to clear up any confusions we might have on the reading/slides. Also, each expert also makes themselves available beyond the class, which is a HUGE advantage. Beyond class, Kathryn is as generous with her own time as she is with her stories, making herself available to students at any time over coffee or a drink to talk further. I also really like her ethical standards - Kathryn not only relays the ethics the book talks about, but consistently reminds us not to do things we aren't comfortable, if it feels icky it probably is, and to never risk a friendship or your own morals for a buck. Kathryn took me from someone who was curious to learn more, to someone who is now excited to start his career in real estate. "I took my online courses through CA Realty with Angela So. Covid hit the nation strong, and caused instant changes globally, overnight Angela was able to adjust from teaching in an online setting to holding a virtual classroom that was top notch. Sometimes it can be hard to keep students engaged with a 100% online course, (I know it can be for me, which is why I had chosen the hybrid course) I didn't lose interest at all during Angela's teaching. While everyone teaches differently, I attended a few free other trial classes led by other instructors, and didn't even make it half way through the class. Angela is a bubble of positive energy, that goes beyond the classroom. She wants you to succeed. I can't applaud her enough. She was consistent in teaching with excellence... it didn't matter if she was sick... if she had worked that day...if there were technical issues during the launch of the program when we first switched to virtual... she HANDLED IT every time. Bryan Collins with Keller Williams is an amazing instructor and personable human being. He has a lot of knowledge and understanding about real estate because of his experience in the field. That's what made his class teachings extraordinary and interesting. I felt like it was more than a course, but a conversation, which allowed the information to stick to my brain a lot more. I learned a lot more from hearing him talk about his experiences than I would often when I sat down to read the textbooks. His detailed descriptions of the slides always sparked a new idea that was applicable to our training, and I felt he genuinely cared about his students, which is something many instructors don't do (I went to UCLA and experienced professors who simply did not care). Bryan, however, goes above and beyond to make learning the material fun and accessible. I'm truly thankful I'm taking Real Estate classes with CA Realty Training because the online portal is simple to use and extremely helpful. I took the entire salesperson course with finance as my elective. I did it online and purchased the course books, i think the courses were great. I then purchased the crash course online, that is where I feel it lacked. I loved the instructor, Ian, but the material itself I feel needs to be much broader in the practice exams. I took a lot of practice exams, and it was almost always the same info with a new question thrown in here and there, so of course I'm going to feel prepared when it comes to my real exam because everything was on repeat and I was scoring high on every practice test. Last week I took my real exam and I was totally shocked that there was so much stuff on there that I never even remember learning about or have never even heard of! Luckily I still passed my exam (yay!) but I feel the practice exams in the crash course really could be better. However I did like the school, and I will still recommend it to others read more

I did the online program. They gave me the essentials to pass my quizzes and exams. Books , E-books- quizzes , videos ,PowerPoints . Communication was on great and got to me fast. When calling the school they answered with friendly tone and were efficient towards what I needed. When I was having technical difficulties with the website they fixed it and call back and text me to see how I was doing. Worth the money to attend. The program was non stressful since you did it in your own pace. Plus when you need something they have a chat room from certain hours that can answer your question. I found out about LA Realty Training though "career night" at Keller Williams in Westwood. The introduction was very inspiring and looking back at it, I'm very happy that I made the decision to attend La Realty Training's classes instead of doing online class. To go to an actual class gives you a great networking opportunity as well as giving you the opportunity to learn from people who are in the business. They know what is actually important and they teach you about things that aren't in the book. My teacher, Cindy Bell, was great! She was very helpful and really cared about the class. MYRNA WAS THE BEST! She is the broker at KW Loz Feliz and she is also the instructor for this 3-month course! I took this class in preparation for my Real Estate license exam but after I finished the class, my choice in pursuing real estate my solidified. Every class, Myrna would tell us a lot about her experiences as she was working as an agent herself. These experiences were valuable and helped get a real in-depth feel of what it would be like to work as a realtor. The class was great overall as long as you put your own studying time in to prepare for the detailed exam.
