Not bad for a testing location. I was easily able to find free street parking (be careful not to park in the two hour parking zones if your exam is longer than two hours). The first floor of the building is NOT air conditioned so it is very warm and muggy!!! BUT the second floor where Learnet is has low air conditioning. So I'd still recommend light clothes and layers. There are lockers for your phone, purse, etc outside the testing location. Also there are restrooms on this floor too. It's not the most modern and renovated space for sure but it is fine as a testing location. Lockers, restrooms, and nice receptionist. read more

The staff and process of taking tests here is great but I would suggest to anyone taking an exam over the summer to honestly consider going to another location. The building has no A/C. If I had known this beforehand, I would have went to a different location. It gets way too hot inside. You felt it the second you walk into the building even at 10 in the morning. It was hot and stuffy. They have portable fans but that doesn't do anything when it's almost 90 degrees outside. I mean it was HOT. The desk I was sitting in was very warm to touch. My exam was 4 hours long and it was so uncomfortable. Also the portable fans are loud so that might bother some people who are sensitive to noise during an exam. I'm sure this place is fine to take an exam during cooler months. read more

Learnet Academy gave me problems, so I decided to take a 2-month break, in the end, they expelled me in the process and created difficulties for recovery. They asked for $1,300 for their restoration services. They communicate impudently, drag their feet, and constantly change conditions. Because of them, the i20 almost lost its status. Greedy and arrogant! Don't step foot into this hole again! I went to another school and they didn't charge me any reinstatement fees. Accepted without problems and quickly. And payment is cheaper, you can pay with a credit card, but in Learnet you can only pay by check - which is not convenient. p.s. There are a lot of these schools that give fast i20! DO NOT take your exam here. Hands down one of the worst test sites that I have been to. I took the exam indoors on a hot summer day, there was heat in the room from the direct sunlight. The air conditioning was not working. They turned on a fan and its sound was overpowering and blowing away the cheaply placed white cardboard dividers between each computer. There was one attendant who was also the front desk person. She did her best. It was not her problem. This place is awful for exam taking. read more

Went to take my ACE Personal Trainer exam here and it was overall a good experience. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and kind. She told me everything I needed to know and walked me into the exam room. Exam room was neat and the computers functioned just fine. I just wish the seats were more comfortable. I was the only one taking the exam there so it wasn't loud at all and was able to concentrate easily. Staff came in to check on me periodically while I took the exam. The only issue was parking and after calling them they said I could park in the structure for the church that is nearby. I wish there was a sign or some sort of notice that told me that before I went there but it wasn't that big of a deal. When I was done, the staff told me congrats on passing, gave me my printout and left without any issues. Great place to take an exam. read more

Learnet Academy computer course is basically for international students who want to stay in the U.S. or remain in status while other visa status is pending. The whole program is practically a joke, and barely students cares about the classes. The new instructor comes, sit there, and does nothing but have us just do homework from the book. What's the reason of driving 30+ miles to go school if I can just finish chapter assignments at home???? I finished my 1 year program on May 30, 2012. Before I finished, various school officials, advisers, or students who work there as our advisers, approached me and asked me to extend the school program while I'm not really sure yet due to the pending of my other visa status. I informed them that I'll let them know 1.5 week before my I-20 expires; however, various staff continued calling and emailing me about paying and continuing the school program. About 1.5 weeks before I finished the program. I decided to file H1B petition. I've also informed the school about my decision. But the school didn't mention anything about cap-gap extension to me and still wanted me to continue attending school. Now my H1B has approved. SEVIS confirmed that I'm qualified for cap-gap, but Mavy, whoever works there kept using all different excuses telling me that they can't issue me cap-gap I-20 ans ask me to transfer. Why would I transfer? USCIS has this cap-gap extension law so students don't have the gap between F1 and H1 why would I transfer to another school? If you want to maintain your status and thinking about going to this school, please think twice. There's a lot different schools out there. By the way, Learnet Academy will charge you 2000USD tuition for OPT besides the fee which is ridiculous! The staff are really incompetent. I remember nobody told me about having to bring my own laptop, mandatory textbook, where to park, have to do fingerprint, and student ID, and etc. I found all the information out several weeks later. I'm now consulting my attorney to see the possibility of filling lawsuit against the school. read more

I transferred to Learnet from another school about a year ago. Not only is the staff professionally trained to assist us, but they truly understand what it's like because they are international students themselves. They have programs that range from EFL to computer curses, and they also stared offering two Associate of Arts programs this year. The school follows an attendance and academic policy but they have morning, afternoon and evening courses that accommodate your schedule. Unfortunately, I don't drive, so I like that he school's only a few blocks away from the metro station on Vermont and close to many bus stops as well. I'm currently attending CITA (Computer Information Technology Administrator) class here and I can say that I'm happy. Professors are really cool, helpful staffs, and all the people here are nice!!. Most of all, The quality of class is good and the tuition fee is more cheap than other school. Learnet has a great location for students. Learnet Academy has been operating for over 20 years and is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). Being an IT graduate from another country, I would like to learn further here in the United States. After meeting with an admissions counselor, I called up my lawyer to assist me to change my visa from B-1 to F-1 (student). The Admissions team explained each course I was eligible for in detail and I decided to enroll in Computer Information. This serves as a refresher program for me as well.
