I usually dread going into the post office for things. Lines too long. People in a bad mood...etc However today I had such a pleasant experience. Both women behind the counter were so cheerful and helpful. They had smiles on their faces and truly engaged each person that came through their lines. During this time of the year it can be very stressful for Post Office workers...while they may be stressed they handled it all with a smile on their faces and made the experience wonderful for all of us in line. I wish I had gotten the name of the girl thay helped me out. She deserves a shout out! read more

Half the time they are closed during business hours when they are supposed to be open. They close at 6:30 but have been locked up at 3:00, 4:30, and 3:30 within the last couple of weeks. Their self service machine doesn't work and even the parcel drop-off is jammed - so they can't accept any parcels. Might as well close this location! read more

Holy cow I would avoid this place at all cost. I walked in around 2:30 and there was a line at the self serve and one person at the counter. The employee YELLED at me that I was standing in the incorrect place to be in line with the most extreme attitude. 1. There were no signs 2. No one else in the lobby there was no signage as to where to start the line. The attitude and volume were uncalled for. In addition, like other reviews said, service is slow. When I got to the counter she proceeded to lecture me on how they cannot enter the address manually- this is when I used the self service kiosk. It took some time and too was slow but it printed all the information I needed. While at the kiosk I heard a heated argument which you could heard the employee yelling at another customer. Mailman jammed the mailboxes so they would not open. The USPS changed all the bottom row to the top row and the top row to the bottom row. After that, all the mail was being delivered to the wrong mailboxes. Now, the mail is not being delivered at all or being delayed approximately 3 weeks, if you get it at all. read more

There are no employees to be found at 4:55pm on a Monday. There is only 1 kiosk and not everyone comes prepared. This post office either needs more staff or additional kiosks because waiting 30mins to ship my prepaid, prepackaged item (with a receipt) is ridiculous. read more

12/7/24: wanted to purchase Christmas stamps and learned they were out of ALL stamps! Also, they couldn't tell me if other locations had any supply of stamps. Grounds are in poor condition, reliability is fair, people are, for the most part friendly. Unfortunately you are only as good or as bad as the organization you work for. Parking right by the doors so that was nice. Plenty of priority/express boxes and envelopes to use along with a working self-service kiosk so all around happy! Bob, my regular letter carrier is great! He is friendly, and treats my mail as if it is the most important thing in the world. So he must be taking a few days off recently, because the mail is sometimes late, and sometimes does not get delivered at all. Mondays seem to be the days where no postal carrier comes by. This place is an absolute joke. We arrived 2 minutes late for a passport appointment and were walking around trying to find the passport window and then stood in line. We finally heard them call out for a passport appointment so we walked up and they said we needed to reschedule. It was 12:06pm. They said if you're 5 minutes late you have to reschedule. All the people in line backed us up that we WERE IN LINE. They still refused. I will never again go to this location. read more

Worst delivery service from stolen credit cards to wrong delivery at wrong house. Occurs on a weekly basis.

I have found this location to be just as others. It opens at EXACTLY the posted time, based on the watch of the person unlocking the door. And again, like other locations, the start of the line is on the far side from the door, newcomers frequently try to move to be next in line, when that just is not the case. I feel the frustration of some of the workers who try, repeatedly, to get some people to complete the required forms, without much success. It is frustrating for those of us waiting in line, too. I have found that if I go at an off time, it minimizes waiting. And, despite the length of the line, people go on their breaks at specific times. Our regular mail delivery person is a whole different rating. The ONE time I complained, I ended up having to re-sod part of my front grass after she spent spring thaw driving on it. I learned to keep my mouth shut and be grateful for whatever mail I DO receive. read more

I have found the Woodridge post office personnel to be very helpful, patient, knowledgeable and recently tracked and found some mail I had not received yet. all I needed to present were my tracking numbers. a very nice superviser tracked the mail and packages down and gave me a phone number to call In case I didn't receive the mail. this was all done during the busy Christmas season. I'm going to give them one star because of their parking lot. First of all, to avoid the parking lot, you can use the drive thru mailboxes. However, you cannot make a left turn after using them for easy access back to Woodridge Dr. You have to make a right turn and either snake back through the congested parking lot (more about that in a minute), or drive completely around the back of the library to get out. I was there to drop off packages close to six p.m. a few nights ago when many of the postal workers in uniform were leaving. They park in the tiny parking lot. I see the same cars in that lot whenever I go there, which is often, as I sell online. If I have to run in, there are usually only about four parking spaces available, and maybe two or three people in line. I don't know why the spaces are not made available for the customers to use. Other stores make the employees park further away so the customers don't have to walk a half block in the rain or other bad weather. They need to improve the lot, move the drop off boxes to a more convenient and less congested area, and generally have more people working inside. We had to get passports a few years ago, and it was a nightmare. We need to get new ones next year and I won't be going there. read more

They never answer their phone. When you go in the office to speak to them. They tell you how short handed they are. They don't sound sure if your mail had even gone out. But you can't pick up your mail. Sometimes you get your packages. But no mail. The USPS had really gone down hill. read more

Woodridge post office is the absolute worst. If I could give then a zero stars I would have and as the looks of it so would a lot of over customers in our town. I stay home all day for my packages and still the postman/postwomen refuse to deliver our packages. They through a missed you ticket in your mailbox without ringing the bell. Claim they ring it and try to claim our bell does not work. I have in the past even had my landlord of over 10 years check the bell, of course there's nothing wrong with the bell. It's that the employees refuse to do their job. We ship and pay a lot of money for the worst service. I even made many complaints with 800 in regards to this office and again nothing gets better. Reggie the manager of the Woodridge post office lies to customers and to me 9/13/2022 told me at 340pm he will have the postman come back with my 2 packages. I stayed home all day and evening, no one showed and he didn't even call me back to tell me. I called 9/14/2022 first was told he was not in the office today and put on hold for 15 minutes then Reggie that was out of the office now comes on telling me too bad that I will get my packages some time today. He kept yelling at me telling me I am yelling. Funny I am fighting a throat and sinus infecting right now and can't even yell. This has become the new normal horrible service and no one helps to fix for better customer service. I asked him 5 times who his boss is and he refused to tell me any info on his boss. He stated hes the boss that runs that building too bad. When will someone hold the USPS accountable for not doing their jobs right, as a resident of this town we are stuck with this post office and we deserve better. read more

I do not go to the post office that often but if I do, I prefer Woodridge over Downers Grove any day. I had to apply for my passport and I had the most helpful woman, named Pat, and she went above and beyond her duties! She was so patient and helped me out because I had printed my passport application off my computer and it was the wrong size so Pat allowed me to redo the application. Pat also helped me to fill out the paperwork for a lost passport. She was so helpful and nice. She also allowed me to wait 5 minutes for my mom to bring my debit card because I thought the passport had to be paid in a check only, but there is a $35 fee as well and I had ran out of the house quickly to get to the appointment and only brought what I thought was needed. It was so beyond nice of Pat to allow me to have that extra 5 minutes because I would have had to start again the next day, wait again in line the next day, and do everything over. I just wanted this done! So I was very happy that I had such a helpful person! Thank you so much Woodridge! read more

The WORST- painfully slow employees, terribly incompetent. (especially "Virgil") On a Sat afternoon when I had already been waiting for 30 min to mail a simple letter I actually saw a manager CALL THE POLICE on a justifiably irate customer for yelling at "Virgil." She was there, waiting, when I got there and said Virgil's incorrect instructions about how to ship her package caused her to wait 2 hours, and package and RE-package her box. Perhaps when customers are so irate at your ridiculously poor service you should consider management/employee changes- not calling the police on customers. Geez. read more

I wish I could give them zero stars because this has been such a horrible experience. I called to have a package held for me instead of it being delivered (I'm saving them a trip!) and the jerk that answered the phone told me No. The package is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. Exactly, that's why I want to pick it up. It's at your facility why can't you hold it? I was told there is nothing he could do. I'm still dumbfounded by the lack of empathy and just poor customer service. I work in customer service and would never speak to someone the way he spoke to me. USPS wants to air commercials where they are trying to end their bad reputation with consumers. Try again! USPS is so horrible and yet they control something so important-- our mail! I refuse to ship with USPS again. I will pay the extra money to have my packages go via UPS or Fed Ex. I had the shipper contact the postal service and the same guy I spoke to told him a bold faced lie and said my package was out for delivery and that there was nothing that could be done? Really? because when I looked at the tracking it had just arrived to the post office and wasn't scheduled for delivery until tomorrow. I'm honestly surprised at this post office has even two stars! I went here thursday, October 8 and probably had the worst service that I've ever experienced! I do a lot of shipping with USPS and am in the Glen Ellyn or Lisle post office 3 to 4 times a week. My schedule made me pass this post office today. The gentleman behind the counter with piercings and tattoos was extremely condescending. When I asked for a receipt he said they can't do that! I told him that I was at the Lisle post office on Monday and the Glen Ellyn post office yesterday and had received receipts from them. He then proceeded to get his supervisor.
