So to begin with, I was in the hospital in ICU for almost a week came extremely close to actually dying. Got home on a Wednesday went to go put something in my dumpster I live in a condo complex, happened to see some letters sitting in the leaves in between our property and my neighbor's house, I went over to pick them up thinking they were garbage the throw them out and lo and behold they were mine. Not only were they mine there were four of mine and two of my neighbors soaking wet laying in the leaves. I called my neighbor who informed me that while I was in the hospital the person that was delivering the mail sat on that ledge and had a cigarette break. I was very upset since one of the letters was extremely important and the other three they would have called me if I didn't make the payment then one would not have called me it was for my health insurance and just getting out of the hospital in ICU that's one thing I do not want to miss a payment on. So I called the West Nyack post office which by the way my mom worked there for 25 years. I got a man on the phone I asked to speak to Tina the postmaster, he told me she was unavailable she was on the phone and had some other phone calls on hold. Then he said he could help me so I said okay and proceeded to tell him the story. When I got to the point about the cigarette break he basically bit my head off and told me you're wrong!!! Nobody on that route smokes so tell your neighbor he can't see things correctly either. I told him my neighbor cuz he things just fine and he's extremely rude and should rethink being in public service if you're going to treat people that way. He was convinced the way he treated me was absolutely fine it was not I've been a waitress I've been a cashier I've worked in retail all over the place you do not treat people that way. I proceeded to tell him that I would be in to see Tina which he basically said fine and hung up on me. 2 Days Later I go in to see Tina I didn't go the next day because I was still kind of weak from the hospital and she's out on an express delivery. So Tony hears me talking to one of the clerks there who by the way it happens to be one of my mom's good friends before my mom passed away and has known me since I was very small. He comes trying around the corner and tells me" I specifically told you I would handle it and you did not need to come in" I told him he barely took any information from me so I was not pleased with the outcome of my conversation with him then he told me to leave and he said there's no reason for me to be there and I told him he's extremely rude he does not involved in this now his name was not Tina so I did not raise my voice cuz I'm trying to stay as calm as can be event goes over to his phone which is maybe six feet from me. He then proceeds to call Tina the postmaster so it allowed enough voice that I could perfectly hear people in the lobby heard he said I'm just giving you a heads up there's a nutcase here waiting to speak to you. Everybody in the front of that building was floored he came back over I said to him how dare you call me and nut case you don't even know me I said you are not even a supervisor I said you are an asshole. I proceeded to stand there and wait for Tina to come back he tried to stare me down and kept telling me to get out of the store which last time I checked I pay his salary as a United States citizen. I also asked Annie to tell him that he has no idea who he's up against because I am my mother's child and I will not be treated that way I will not give up I'm almost tempted to contact a lawyer and see if I have any recourse against this but I'm definitely contacting the Attorney General. So he proceeded to stare me down to try to get me to leave and I told him I'm a dog groomer I stare down dogs all day long you're not going to win this battle. So he finally walked away and Andy came over to give me a hug because I was in the hospital and I started hysterical crying the last thing I needed after almost dying and I see you was to be the last thing I needed after almost dying and I see you was to be treated horribly by someone who obviously does not appreciate having a job his name is Tony Salasca. He is the supervisor in the West Nyack post office and if anyone else has had any issues with him which I'm quite sure they have cuz this man's people skills are zero you really need to do something about this I'm going to write the letters that I have to write I'm contacting a lawyer because this just upset me beyond belief and I will not ever in my lifetime be treated by somebody like that again. read more
