I'd appreciate if you guys can speak to your male scheduled Pickup carriers to actually do their job and scan the package when picking it up otherwise don't work at USPS!!!! you should not be picking up packages and not scanning so the customer can track it. That's part of what they paid you guys for. Whoever delivered my mail broke our key and instead of reporting it, having my mail delivered directly, or literally any of the other smart options at their disposal, they just left the broken key in our mailbox. I can't access my mail and I'm driving myself ragged trying to get an agent (not the useless AI bot!) on the phone. I've called about 6-8 times by now with no luck. I've submitted a support request, scheduled callbacks, but haven't been able to get anyone on the phone. This is the worst service I've ever received from a post office.

That was the case today, so I decided to try a different post office. Fraser post office to the rescue! They are tiny, and out-of-the-way, which really helps in this particular case. And, the lady behind the counter could not have been more friendly. She had no problem scanning the 18 packages I brought in, and we had a nice conversation as she did so. Staffing is poor to where they have to shut down during business hours. Also, a package with tracking was dropped off during non-business hours in their mailbox, only to never get scanned for acceptance and waited over a week for it to appear on their website. She has a little business going through Poshmark, which means I take a lot of trips to the post office. I have tried other post offices in the area, but this is consistently the best. The Mount Clemens post office has been closed three times due to Covid already. It's closer to my house, but it's about 50-50 it will be a wasted trip. The chesterfield post office is generally good, but the dropbox in the lobby area is currently broken. This is how I drop off packages many times, so this is a problem, too. Besides everything being in working order, the business hours are extensive so you can get your packages scanned the same day. They are currently limiting five people in the main lobby at a time, but it moves reasonably quickly. The outer lobby area is very well equipped and well-maintained, with the ability to print your own postage as well as a fully functioning dropbox. Most crucially, packages you drop off in the 24 hour lobby after hours are generally scanned the next day. This is significantly better than most places are doing these days. And, despite the pressure of being in this line of work, everybody I have dealt with at the counter has been professional and friendly. I know my packages are in good hands when I bring them here.
