    Older post office. No automated vending machines like some other places. Hours aren't that great either.

    okay so ..... I've been cautious to post my review because my experience was so different from…read morenearly every other reviewer. I hadn't even looked up reviews before being in contact with them, scheduling everything, & signing the contract, so when I did look them up & saw what I had potentially & unawaringly signed up for, I felt sick to my stomach & was worried pretty much the whole time that some bait & switch was about to happen. It ended up working out fine for me though without much issue so... maybe I just got really lucky?? Anyways, I moved from NYC to IA back in 2024 & am only now in a healthy enough headspace & life-situation to share my experience. I'm not sure how helpful this is for any perspective movers, I feel like it adds to the confusion of choosing who to work with, & I also know its coming so very late for the company but .... I've wanted to express my gratitude to those who did me right through that time in my life, which includes these guys. Here goes - I wrote most of this back when I was still waiting for my things .... I decided to use movers super last minute during a particularly rough transition & part of my life and was put into contact with Isaiah from Ryder Relocations after putting my info into some website for an estimate (which lead to so many calls from other moving companies, sketchy in my opinion but whatever.) It was only a couple of days before my move and they were able to find movers for me at a reasonable price. I had mostly boxes, like around 30 or so, and a couple pieces of fairly easy to move furniture which I think is what helped make the estimate pretty straightforward. Justin and Carlos, who did the pick-up, were amazing. They let me know when they were on their way and when they were having traffic troubles and gave me an updated time for when they would be there. Someone from the company (I can't remember their name) called the night before to get information about parking availability and to confirm the amount of staircases and answer any other questions I had. He also let me know there would be additional charges if they needed to park further away (something that I didn't need to worry about in the end but appreciated the info and think it really should have been shared during the time of the estimate too.) My things finally showed up about a week or more later, which was later than I expected & made me nervous due to the reviews, but it really was fine all the same, I didn't have a strict timeline & knew it could take up to 10 days (though later they said up to two weeks) & the mover who unloaded my things was also great (I forgot to write down his name back then) One of my items did get damaged but it is also a pretty cheap desk and works just the same when set up so I didn't mention it & don't really consider it all that impactful for this experience as it really seems more to do with the integrity of the piece of furniture itself not being the best than like... negligence when moving it They did offer me a $50 discount if I left a review but yeah with so many bad experiences listed I couldn't make up my mind on how to move forward with that & was already dealing with a lot personally health-wise & more (like I've only recently gotten internet in my apartment, its been a rough couple of years & then some.) I am giving four stars because of the stress of how fishy the company seemed/seems, as it really didn't help with an already stressful time personally & just.... the stress of moving in general. If it were just for each individual worker, I would give five stars.

    Do NOT use this company no matter what. After damaging our items and take longer than promised to…read moredeliver our stuff, we were told we had a certain amount of time to file a claim. Well within that window I filed a claim with the company they had handling claims, CSI. After some back and forth due to the timeline, my claim was accepted and waiting review when they suddenly terminated their relationship with CSI and I was told to call Ryder directly. This is after having it in review for 2 months due to so many claims they had to process. Well I've contacted Ryder and they have said they will not handle my claim, will not tell me who will (aka they are trying to deny it), and have told me they will NOT have someone call me. I have almost $1000 worth of damages and they have been shady and disgusting from the start. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Pay more and get better service and a guarantee to not work with shady people who will damage your stuff and leave you out to dry. ZERO STARS
