The attitude of the person (short Asian woman) who waited on me today. Never in my 76 years on…read morethis earth have I encountered this type of treatment at a post office. I went in with a box containing a pair of boots I ordered from a vendor through Amazon. I had printed out the label I received from the vendor and the paper from Amazon reflecting the return approval statement and bar code. I asked the person behind the counter what I needed to do. She admonished me for not being prepared as if I were a child. I Told her that I wasn't sure what I needed to do, and if she told me what I needed to do, I would do it. All the while, she was preparing the box to be mailed. She went on to say that she didn't believe I didn't know what to do because everyone knows how to mail packages. I assured her I would not lie to her. By this time, she finished preparing the package and handed me a receipt. I told her I was sorry that she was so angry. She said too much. She could have told me what to do and had me step to the side so I would not hold up the line. The worse thing was how she spoke to me. She was rude, condescending and seemed intent on trying to humiliate and embarrass me. Instead, she just made a fool of herself. Worse, her behavior made public servants look bad. Her statement opining on what everyone knew was surprising. How would she know what everyone knows. Her conduct as a public servant was uncalled for and most inappropriate. I know it is a tough time for federal government workers, but it is not the public's fault. I noticed several similar comments on yelp about the rude behavior of employees at this post office. Perhaps the employees need sensitivity or anger management training.

This post office is doing great. They were helpful when I needed to replace a mail key (though they…read moreare not in charge of mail keys for all locations). There will probably be a line when you go in.

"A year has passed since I wrote my note," the narrator reveals before laying bare that he "hope[s]…read morethat someone gets my message in a bottle" in the Police's 1979 number one, UK chart-topping, hit song of the same name. But what if, instead of those pleas echoing from the vocal chords of an island castaway, they were delivered matter-of-factly from one of the many soon-to-be-satisfied patrons of the U.S. Post Office located at 10901 Rhode Island Ave. in Beltsville, Maryland? First, we would lose all manner of suspense in the lyrics credited to Sting; and, second, the narrator's devastating visual discovery of "a hundred billion bottles washed up on the shore," signifying that he's "not alone in being alone," would never have happened, because the bottle, carefully sent via USPS, would have reached its intended destination within the relayed projected time.

Customer service was great at this location. I went here yesterday for the first time to inquire…read moreabout passport services. I spoke with a staff member who was Asian, I'm sorry I didn't get his name but he was so helpful in answering my questions and explaining the process. I was impressed and appreciative. I went back today with my documents and a young lady named Shawnte assisted me. OMG, she was so pleasant and helpful, she patiently took care of my documents and gave clear instructions, at the same time assisted other customers just as efficiently and friendly as she did me. It is refreshing to receive this type of service AGAIN! I have gone to several USPS locations in Rockville, Bethesda, Kensington, College Park and now Beltsville. I have to say the service and tone of this Beltsville location is superior than the others. I say it's refreshing because in today's world the type of service we receive is horrible. It's absolutely horrible to call any business for assistance and receive appropriate service. We're lucky to get a person on the phone and one who can actually resolve the issue. Thank You Beltsville USPS!! You're doing something right !!

Since I do not trust some (well most) of my fellow neighbors in my apt complex, I decided to have a…read moreclothing order sent to this UPS Store. Overall, the process of picking up my items was fast and easy. I only had to show the attendant my ID, and I was well on my way with my new clothes. One tip, you might wanna make sure you know how many packages you are expecting because the attendant might not be sure. However, I will say that I really appreciated that the attendant double checked several places to ensure that I was picking up everything. The only negative of my experience, which is not the fault of the UPS Store, there is no free street parking. If you are driving to pick up an package or to use any of the UPS Store's services, and are cheap like me, be sure to bring someone with you. That way you 1. can park closer to the store and 2. will not have to pay for parking. That said, parking isn't super expensive in these parts. It was a bit annoying to go through the rigmarole of dealing with the parking app to pay for 10-15 minutes worth of parking.

Customer service isn't their strong suit. Dropped off an Amazon return which lack tape on package…read more It was on the box delivered from Amazon. The (Asian-China) man, working, advised it's the responsibility of the customer to tape boxes. The guy then offered to sell me a $6.99 roll of tape or he'd tape it for $2. Appalled, I request to cancel the Amazon return & I'll return home to take the box. Listen all, it's the principle. Dude made me leave the store to return with the box taped. Where is the customer service here? Why not advise of the discrepancy, as a one time courtesy, tape the freakin' box. My stars!!! It would have saved energy, time & perhaps a repeat customer. These days, luv our immigrants but hate most arrive without hospitality knowledge. It's weird. Wish things were different or the old days when people looked out for people.
