I had the pleasure of speaking with Ben on the phone this morning. Ben is at the Show Low US Post Office, not at the toll free number. He was extremely pleasant, helpful and professional. All are qualities that are almost non-existent in our society. I had physically gone into another US Post Office to try to get help with my situation. That experience was lacking all of the above. I was extremely lucky that I was given the direct phone number to the Show Low Office and was connected with Ben. Nice post office and employees. We got a notice that we had a package but that they couldn't deliver it. We have people in the office who usually accept packages but this required our signature so we went to the office to see what to do. We were the only people when we walked in. Two gentlemen being the counter greeted us and listened to our problem. They explained why it couldn't be delivered and went to the back to see if the package was back but no. So they suggested coming back at 4 when the package should definitely be back. (Carriers come back around 3 but unload the truck so 4 is safer). They were extremely nice helping us. We have had no problems with our mail until today (and it was not a post office issue). I would definitely go back. The service we received today from postal employees Heather and John was outstanding. Both were very friendly and professional. John observed us not locating an envelope we needed to mail a document and went out of his way to retrieve one from the back of the facility. This is a busy facility, and to maintain their high level of customer service is commendable. read more

I was in the area for a few months so I wanted to get a PO Box to make it easier to get my mail. They make you pay for three months at a time. I needed it for three and a half months. To get those few more weeks of the box, they made me pay for three more months. And zero refund for the remaining time now used. Three months for the second smallest was $62. The plus side was the staff here were very nice and helpful. There seemed to always be a line of people no matter what time of day but they kept the line moving quite quickly. Always two staff at the front and another would come from the back and help if needed. I would recommend this location. I just wish they'd make it easier for short term travelers. read more

Often times I send stuff to this post office. The carriers never put the packages in my PO Box. My orders remain in the facility for a few days never going into my box then they ship it to the Concho post office where I do not have a PO Box or any ties to. So it waits in the office until someone over there calls me to pick it up because it is not supposed to be sent there. Delivery person needs to STOP cramming too much stuff into the mail box, pkgs that "JUST" fits in the back and WILL NOT come out the front opening! Also, the delivery people need to take the time to put the mail in the correct boxes. They are totally incompetent. read more

4 times in 3 weeks i have watched the mail carrier drive past my house and then send a message saying my packages were undeliverable one of the times i was standing at my sriveway watched her drive by and when she got to the end of the road said she didnt have access to my house .... i went to post office and they found it behind other packages ... and said normally if she cant find the house she will return with it... i call Bull ... she needs to do her job ... she was delivering mail to our boxes and dropped mail outside her vehicle and i tapped her window and showed her she shrugged her shoulders and drove away... i picked the mail up and put it in the outgoing mail ... silver lake estates read more

Show Low PO is still delivering my mail when they are supposed to forward it. They also delivered it to my neighbors box. They delivered medical supplies to the new owners of my home & when I tried to call them they do not answer their phone. The post master does not seem to care about service. When I moved to the Show Low Az area 3 1/2 years ago, area code 14624 NEVER forwarded any if my mail!!! NEVER received my stimulus checks AND NEVER received my last statement from Rochester Gas and Electric. I almost got turned in collections!!!! Also the Show Low Post Office would refuse to go back and find packages mailed too me after their "tracking system" showed it arrived at their facility. This has been g po ing on ever since I've lived out here and have seen no improvement. USPS is trying to compete with UPS and FedEx, they aren't even close!!! The Show Low post office has let me down. When I moved into my apartment, I filled out the card in my mailbox with all of my info for a new move in. The carrier took the card, but I'm still getting no mail. I found out from a neighbor this morning that I have to also tape a piece of paper with my name into the mailbox or I won't get anything. In Phoenix, the postal carrier took care of this and there never was an issue. The Show Low post office isn't up to the professional standards of the rest of the nation. read more

They claim that my address does not exist. My house has been here since 2007 and they will not deliver packages from Amazon. When you call the post office phone number you get a runaround of prompts and no human to talk with about your problem. read more

I am severely disabled and asked for home delivery October 19 they gave me some forms to fill out and they said it would take 7-10 days before my delivery service starts. I asked if they needed anything else they said no. Went back 3 more times and was assured it was coming. After a month I asked what was going on. They went in back and the post master came out and said I needed a doctor's note which I got. She then said it would take 7-10 days and again I waited for 2 weeks and when I still didn't get mail I went back in and now the postmaster said oh well since you have other people living with you they can pick up your mail. I was stunned to here she wanted to commit a federal offense and involve someone one here in this criminal offense which is punishable by 6mths in prison and $500.00 fine or both. Now she said I have a cluster box I re-keyed 2mths ago. OK first if I didn't know about this box how could I have re-keyed it. I asked her what was the box number cluster and location? She said she didn't have know. Wait you just said I had it re-keyed but you know which one, and if it was re-keyed who did it they had give identification and she changed the subject matter and said my carrier would tell me. It is now Dec 16th and I still have no answer. I contacted the postal complaint service and twice they said they would deal with this and still nothing so I am forced to take legal action. read more

This incident happened today 8/11/2022 at 9:22 AM PST. I would like to report one of the ladies working there. She REFUSES to provide her name. We made a payment to renew our box for $57 on 7/27/2022 and payment cleared on 7/28/2022. But they still closed the mailbox. We called USPS and was asked to go in physically as the branch will be able to assist since we made the payment. This lady working at the post office begins yelling that she never received payment, and upon us telling her we have proof payment was made that we can provide, she begins to yell again and say "I am a germaphobe!! Get that phone away from me!!" Crazy right? She treated us like we have germs. We are Asians and it is complete racial discrimination.So we asked her for her name and the supervisor, which she refuses to provide and asks us to leave. It was not only unprofessional but incredibly discriminating of her to treat us like that. We reported her to USPS. She has short hair, caucasian, mid 50's, and skinny. This is a small community and it is just terrible what we went through and we want everyone to be aware of her. read more

I had to go to the post office 4 times so far and still have no key to my box. They told me the past owners should have it [well they died], then that the hoa should have it [they did but the post office changed locks so the keys didn't work], we were told to change the lock ourselves, then we were told they would change the lock for 40$ and we would get the key this week [didn't happen] so finally when I went in today I asked for supervisor and she told.me it will be next week before we get a key (4 weeks later) and she would call when the mail carrier was close to my box so I could get the mail that was in the box [well no one called]. I have no clue who to talk to next but I'm calling the head usps to figure it out. These people are so rude and does not care for its customers. Avoid the place. Really, go to Lakeside or Snowflake where there are still people connected to a sane reality. I had 2 really heavy boxes scheduled to be delivered and all I wanted to do was to inform them that I'd pick them up, so that they didn't have to try to deliver them. The phone would ring and ring with no answer, then they'd take the phone off the hook. I understand that being in a small town might bring a bit of slowness to this office, but I have had nothing but problems here. My mail comes every once in awhile and packages get delivered whenever. Just today, my tracking number said that my package was in show low, but when I went to pick it up, the guy there said "he doesn't know where it is. Might still be in the valley, who knows." I have had my mail delivered to me by different neighbors because it ends up in their mail box. Most recently, I have been expecting a package from Land's End. I check my front door, back door, and mail box every day since I was informed it was in the Show Low post office. This began December 7, 8 and finally on the 9th which is Sunday at 1:32 p.m. I checked all over my property and there was nothing. Yet, Land's End says there was a delivery notification left at my house and the package is in the post office. My physical address is 2650 W Whipple Street, Show Low, AZ 85901. This is not the first time this has happened. I have to have my mail held in Phoenix, drive to Phoenix and pick it up because important mail is never delivered to me at the Whipple address.
