I have been with this post office for 2 years. I have a doctor's appointment so I couldn't stay there and wait for the 5 minutes. To me this is very poor customer service!

Went…read moreto mail a couple of mother's day gifts and one of my packages needed a little extra tape to secure the bottom. I kindly asked the miserable employee with a puss on his face if he could put some tape on the bottom of my package to secure it and he replied "we are a no tape office " .....ummm what the f$@k??? He proceeds to tell me I can purchase packaging tape but he just sold the last one . Again WTF??!!!! He then rolls his eyes at me walks away and comes back with a big roll of packaging tape and secures my package. Now was that so hard? Why he had to make a production out of it was beyond me. I have been going to this Post Office for years and have come in contact with some nice and not so nice employees but he was the worst. Also, I have NEVER had an issue with a simple little thing called TAPE at a post office. And whatever happened to "how can I help you" when greeting a customer and when you are done with your transaction how about "have a nice day" . Apparently those words don't exist in miserable employee #20 vocabulary. I will not return to this Post Office again . Why go somewhere when you KNOW you are going to get treated like crap. It's a shame because the building itself it quite charming and one of the older Post Office buildings that you really don't see around here anymore.

So I'm a "quack" for posting a review on a review website that's open to the public? I'm pretty…read moresure that being a professional reviewer for a post office isn't a real career. And again, "quack?" Yes, I also like spouting insults that no one has said since the 70s. I also find it quite funny that this location had no reviews, but then a negative one gets posted and less than a month later a glowing one comes out of nowhere and bashes me. Seems like quite a strange coincidence. GET HELP. This place is right down the road from my house, it takes maybe 3 minutes to get there if even. And it's within walking distance from my job, so if i wanted to mail something during my break I could. But I would still rather take the trip to Moriches. No, it's not an everyday task going to the post office, but much like Greek Bites, the treatment I've received makes me want to avoid giving these people money as much as possible. The elderly customers like to strike up conversations with the two WOMEN, NOT girls, there, who make no effort to stop it. Maybe if the place were empty, but when it's a late Friday afternoon and there are three or more agrivated looking people who just got off work waiting to be helped, that's really unprofessional and rude. And when I'm trying to very quickly mail off a package to my grandmother in Florida, being mindful to the group behind me, I don't need to be schooled in front of a crowd about why they think saying "happy holidays" is dumb to them. Stop the hissy fit, get over yourself and come to peace with the fact that you can't get let it ruin your day that people celebrate different holidays. We can't all be the same, Susan. Calm down. You're in customer service and are embarrassing yourself. And besides the customer "service," my family has had several experiences of packages getting lost, each time when mailed from here. HMMM. I can't speak for everyone of course, but we haven't had these complications at the post office in Moriches. Just saying. So hate me for this or don't, I don't care. It's a website for reviews, and it's MY opinion. ...And happy holidays to the fit-throwers!
